I like how the whole family went to the same acting school.
Larry Bud's laugh was equal parts hilarious and chilling. Like being trapped in a funhouse with a maniac.
The Thanksgiving piñata killed me.
Dave telling the actor he’s got one more line on the card is the best
Melman was always a treat.
One that we didn’t know we wanted, but we’re delighted to have it.
I think I’ll introduce the Thanksgiving kettle collection this year at my house.
Nothing goes through turkey like turkey. Truer words have never been spoken.
Also: Three words: Butter Ball Hotline.
Remember this incredible bit, and thought when they introduced his wife Tiffany, they'd bring out a gag hot model. Instead, they found a woman who looked like Larry in drag. Amazing, the whole family. Just beautifully weird.
"Hot Towel Ma'am ? "
Hahahaha Happy Thanksgiving Everyone !
Serious question ... yes, I realize (to my horror) that this is 39 years ago ... but I have no recollection of "Mrs Melman", let alone the kid or the brother. Was this their only appearance?
Whoever Mrs Melman was, she was *perfect*. 🙂
39 years before this show, 1944, TV was very much in its experimental phase. NBC was on the air in NYC but Studios 8H (SNL) and 6A (LNwDL) had yet to be converted for TV ...
“Mrs. Melman” and “Troy ‘Chipper’ Melman” have appeared a number of tines, Troy much more than the Missus. I hear there’s a compilation of the 1982 Melman Buslines ads that includes Troy in many of them.
What Donz said.
@@dongiller Troy, I remember, especially with the Melman Bus Lines memory jog. Just not the missus. I will "search the internet" for that compilation.
Thanks, Don.
@@plaws0 Mrs Melman..or the actress who plays her..can also be see in Tootsie carrying Dustin Hoffman's birthday cake and inadvertently blowing out the candles with her enthusiastic singing.
Classic! One aspect that stands out is the segment musical intro by Paul Shaffer. I recall a more grandiose version of the same tune from November 2000 when Richard Simmons appeared on The Late Show dressed as a turkey. Would love to see a high quality version of that sometime, if possible. Thanks for the memories!
Simmons was always contentious gold.
One of a kind.
PLEASE post the Isabella Rossellini interview!!!
It’s pronounced Eeeeeesa Bella.
Just when I thought I had seen everything Larry Bud Melman related.
It's simply not the holiday's until I've had my Toast on a Stick
Who is the actress playing MRS Melman? Brilliant!
a turkey stuffed with fish sticks i'll have to try that
It looks like Larrys' real family!!!
YOU JUST GOT YOU A NEW FAN.
I HOPE I WILL WATCH YOU IN THE MORNING
I never knew Larry had a twin ... sister? Maybe?
Mrs Mellman lololol(´ . .̫ . `)
❤️❤️❤️
The blinding flash just about killed me
"I thought it was a pee-nyatta!"
And how Dave repeated it with the same cadence.
one of the weirder posts on this channel, thanks!
That was really bizarre.
Was that Roger Ebert?
Im thankful they cloned Melman.
If only.
DidDave initially say “curve the Turkey”?
Is Larrys brother Peter Griffin?
Colbert show bombing
Lol...the lady looks like whiteys wife on the animated Xmas show 8 crazy nights. The Adam Sandler movie. She's the one that had her wig stolen. Lol. Wonder if Adam got the idea after seeing this lady. 😂

I must admit; I cannot help but wonder how and why this is an edited comment. I am so confused.
