I swear you are my favorite boxing coach on CZcams. It seems you have unlimited knowledge of the sport. I’ve favorited the majority of your videos. I practice. Idk if I want to box professionally but I enjoy boxing since it’s fun and it forces you to pay attention to everything from footwork, to ring control. Control and awareness

That is very helpful, especially the foot movement at the end of the video. Doing it this way saves a lot of time. Another great video!

Great vid! i am 57 and just started boxing because of a video i saw of yours about never too late to start boxing. Thank you. You are also a very likeable dude the way you deliver your video's. i bought a 150 lb Title heavy bag, Title gel training gloves and Title 6x9 speed bag. That should get me started anyway. i have always been a weight lifter and treadmill guy so i should be able to take on boxing and have some fun. Thanks again for being a great mentor.
Very cool! You're gonna have a lot of fun on the bag
@@PrecisionBoxing your blog about gloves led me to the Title Gel gloves. your recommendation about 12 or 14 oz i was not able to do because my hand size is 9.5 inches across the knuckles around the palm. i was forced to get the XL gloves which are either 16 or 18 ounces. i got the bigger speed bag because i am a newbie and thought it would be easier to learn. i also got 2 pair of sanabul wraps. so i think i have a good starter kit. Thanks again for your help and inspiration. You convinced me to pull the trigger!
Great video
Very good.
Beautiful
Good stuff
Great vid, I'll practice this. Missing your live workouts, man.
Great technique.

Good ass advice, instantly useable
As always ...excellant. From Ireland.
That is nice Coach
Brilliant breakdown as you were going through the video I was wondering how you did the last move and then you broke it down was so happy you did as I was able to understand it! Just started boxing only for fitness but am loving it and just trying to work on my footwork love your videos xxx
Thanks Coach Jay Van. As a boxer, I'm basically a pressure fighter that incorporates shifting and gazelle punches within my style, while remaining defensibly responsible. If you can create more videos on shifting (especially for southpaws) that would be excellent.
A natural born teacher, great work 🥊
thank you!
I will share your video!!
this is sweet science
hey man love your channel got any more tyson vids coming up?

Can you break down learning how to sit on a punch; left hook preferably. Thanks👊 You're the man, brotha.
....have you ever heard a term for that load up....and wow, the choice piece of Tyson's footage, brilliant?Great channel, absolutely great videos and coaching.
Thank you. No I'm not sure if there is a term
thank u sir for the video, iam working with peekaboo style and iam facing problem in peekaboo style footwork .so sir can u please make a video on peekaboo stlye footwork like tyson
Thanks coach. All T-rex armed boxers will benefit from this. Im doing the peekaboo style but still have a long way to go. This tip is really effective to chase down the opponent. It works even if i dont connect with the right cross. And i dont ram into their right hahaha.
"Peace" than try to knock me out with a straight. Good thing I'm working on my slip so I did manage to slip that one😉. Lol! Good ones coach! Thank you for all you do to provide us with great boxing lessons!
Can you post a new video on switching stances while punching
Silvafox this 👌.. my mate does MMA and has taught me a lead overhand and you switch in the middle of the movement TJ Dillashaw does it alot feels funky at first but it's pretty decent.. only negative is your feet cross for a split second
Laurie AFC89 Dillashaw and Tyson are great at it
Cool combination i suppose the swing on that left hook after ducking and getting unnoticed is very effective, but it has to be trained for shaddowboxing and later on pads or puncing bag. Thanks
@Silent Psykosis I think is a good technique especially when you moved up the weight class and the opponents are allways 5 Inches taller than yourself. Mike Tyson was an expert on that.
PEEK A BOO
Cus D’amatos masterpiece.
What brand sneakers? Great techniques
👍👍👍👍
From my understanding.. with peekaboo, that one one two setup is specific to get your opponent to slip or step to your right, (as you end up very slanted and bent over to your left) which then perfectly sets up the gazelle strike and not for him to stay right infront of you? if his opponent stayed infront of him, he opted for the upper cut..?
👍
very useful technique! I wonder if it's also effective to do the gazelle punch as a decent liver hook from the stance where you drop and are already low...
Definitely!
I might be late on this but is there a vid in your collection that i can go to, which is purely peekaboo style, that includes things like head movements, legs position as u moving forwar extral
In one your vids u mentioned that you used peekaboo style. Many thanks
Only in my shop at precisionstriking.com
Hi coach i wanna ask if there is anyway to lenghten my reach mine is shorter then my height and im confused about it??
he got a beard oh snap
yeahh peek a boo videos +1 like
I quit boxing becase i have my military servises plz can you tell me few drills to keep my form
i like myke tyson, rocky marciano, and jack dampsey
Nice move to avoid a counter.
In my experience the left hook is just as common a counter to the right hand. I find working off the momentum of the thrown right into a duck under/side step to the right often puts you in perfect position for coming back with another right or left uppercut or hook to the body, and at the very least means you are off the center line for whatever the other guy throws. Also a good way to drive the opponent to the ropes and unload. I like the gazelle punch in theory but can see many times when you simply get smothered or are could still be in the line of fire. I can see how it works if you are good at pressure though. thanks for the tip!
Great comment, thank you
I have a question about footwork/circling while punching. (Im a southpaw btw) So when I’m circling to my right and throwing a jab I know I’m supposed to step with my lead leg and torque my hips while jabbing and I’m fine with this. However my question is what foot should I lead with when circling to my left while throwing a jab? I know people say I should be stepping with my left/rear foot when I do this but I find it’s more comfortable to step with my right/lead foot when circling to my left because I get more torque in my hips and I stay balanced. Most people say this is crossing your feet but my stance is sideways so I think it’s just like walking. However when I don’t throw the jab and just circle to my left (without punching) I feel better to do the traditional footwork (which is step with the left foot when moving left) Any suggestions?
Hi! First of you are great and have been so far the only teacher I've had in boxing. Now I actually practiced this yesterday in the gym (without the gazelle step) and I recently hurt my left knee after working out too hard and also I think it was because I was using the wrong foot technique when throwing jabs (I basically twisted my left foot (orthodox) almost like a hook, which I believe cause some damage to my knee). Now when I practiced this yesterday I noticed first of all pain (I guess I'm not fully healed yet) but I also felt that my balance was waay off. I also feel my balance is off when I throw punches some of the time, usually it is that I like lean into the shot and my upper body gets infront of my lower body and the weight balance gets quite bad.
Now my question is, how can I improve my balance and I guess footwork to keep these things from happening? Got any suggestions or maybe even video for it (I have not found anything specifically related to this in your channel).
Thank you!
The key is really just awareness, try to make your movements smaller, and make sure your head doesn't go too far forward or outside your knee.
@@PrecisionBoxing Ok thank you! My head definitely goes outside and beyond of my knee so that is something I need to work on.
I hope u go back and read this need to know how to order ur t shirts and stuff
cut the angle with your slip to make him miss, change your level as you slip, cutting the angle close the gap, body, head, cross!
What is your height sir?
Hey coach, I sparred for the first time a few weeks ago, and it was relatively light with someone much more experienced to ease a few new people into sparring but I got caught with an uppercut that landed nicely on the bridge of my nose and I started leaking. Now its been 2 weeks or so since then and if I even get tapped my nose will start bleeding. My coaches will stop a spar if there is a bloody nose so I wont be able to ignore it. I've been avoiding contact as much as possible these last 2 weeks but It has only slightly improved. In your next Q&A could you cover bloody noses and what my options are? I really want to spar again but I dont want to bleed all over the canvas and the other guys glove if I just get jabbed.
put a thin layer of vaseline in both nostrils before your sparring session
I might cover it but you gotta go to the doctor. I had to also
@@PrecisionBoxing Okay, will do. Thank you for the reply.

Coach If I’m a southpaw would I be slipping to the left or right after throwing the 2?
You can slip both ways but to match this you would slip/dip to your right
Dude! I have good range with punching ,, so i always charge it from distance ..it produce terrible power on the target but most of the times it produce less effective with power
I always dip after the right hand but my people in boxing are able to time me with the left hook Any tips?......
Try to throw that right quick and follow with the left fast. Beat them to hook with a faster pace instead of breaking up the rhythm with the dip. Just keep your right hand up when you do
Gostaria de vidio treino cardio respiratorio
Do a 3 hour video on crab movements please coach
Hi-Tech Lomachenko this isnt an animal documentry channel bro
I'm not hating but arent you dipping down very low you would get a point taken off you in amateur boxing plus thers less power coming up and it takes longer to come up leading to a counter right hand or right/ left hook
Yes true, I exaggerated the movement a bit. You could shorten it up. But there wouldn't be a point deduction
Good question.. I was thinking the same.
Watch hajime no ippo my favorite boxing anime he uses peekaboo style
Привет вам из России вы очень хороший тренер.
My coach told me if I threw my left hook while I shift my Left leg out at the same time, ima get off balanced and get knocked down because I’m trying to throw my left hook with one leg on the ground so what I was seeing in your video was the same thing I use to do which was throwing my left hook and trying to shift my leg all at once in mid air which makes you vulnerable in balance.Correct me if I’m wrong, but I’m just saying. Love your vids tho!
Your coach is right. In this punch both feet land at the same time the punch lands, it's just that since I don't have a bag or an opponent it's hard to see that. Always hit with both feet on the ground, even if its just a split second difference.
Precision Striking I’ll take that advice 💯Keep going with your videos!!
