Very cool video. Knowing just the basics I can use this to pull in my analog data and get things running. Thanks for the info.

been looking around on plc movies around youtube and all I find is ppl doing ladder programming, I'm so surprised haven't used ladder sense school. always type in text, faster, easier to understand

why do you use 3276.7 as scaling factor ? I am not able to determine how do we choose scaling factor.

what is the biggest decimal number you can create using 16 spaces or blocks (bits) in binary? 32768 posible combinations. In decimal numbers it is 32767 be cause the zero also needs a posible combination

+Mahipal Raj He is using that number because of value ratio 10:1 , max decimal value of the word divided by 10, this way if the value changes due the turning of the potentiometer will show nearly perfect the voltage being reading.
. hope this help your question.

Would have really appreciated if you spent less time focused on the wiring diagram and more showing the ins and outs of the main program. You just opened a pre-made ladder diagram instead of working it from scratch, like tutorials are meant to do.

+Daikataro Kamegawa Did you even read the description of the video? If your not smart enough to create a ladder diagram you have no business watching an advanced tutorial.

What description? All the information available sums up to day of uploading, category and licence. If you can infer anything from that, there's a 1 million USD prize you should claim. I AM smart enough to create a ladder diagram, AND I'm smart enough to know every PLC manufacturer has their own quirks: Siemens ladder diagrams are different from AB, and from OMRON, and from every other manufacturer. While the basics are the same, the specifics and how to perform anything that isn't wiring an output to an input difer from one program to the other.
By the way, if you're going to insult someone's intelligence, don't use "your" and "you're" interchangeably, it takes away the credibility of your own intelligence.
