A sunrise and a full moon in the same shot 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣. Touring Scotland in a camper or a conversion must be the best way ever. Thank you for sharing this beautiful video with us , my wife and I went to the same part some 12 years ago .....oh to be young again

23:16 As a tip: contemplate swapping your plastic chopping board with a wooden alternative. Despite the convenience of a lighter plastic board, every cut on it releases microplastics that may end up being ingested. Also wood is antibacterial :)
The 'C' word is the same as the 'F' word in Scotland. It can mean so many different things, depending the context it's used in. Hope you enjoyed your trip to the most beautiful place in the UK! 😉🙃
Don’t forget to have Plan B for everything. I’ve been planning a solo trip to the Arctic Circle in winter. Not planning to be off main routes but trying to have a plan b for everything. What if my diesel heater breaks? What if I have an accident where there’s no mobile phone reception? I’ve enough cold weather gear to supply a couple of Everest expeditions as Mountain Equipment was started in a cow shed on the hill I live on, and when they out grew that their factory shop was nearby. That mostly covers diesel heater breaking but I’ll still need a sleeping bag suitable for a freezer. In the deep cold you don’t need wet weather gear as you don’t have liquid water to worry about.
Loving the vlogs, keep them up. I personally quit my very secure NHS role in September 2022, it was very scary walking away from financial security but I has never looked back. I now have 5 income streams and pick and choose when I work, and where I work, on my terms. Becoming a freelancer enables me to fulfil my love of triathlon, vlog about it, and it also get me all over the country in places i wish to visit and ride my bike. I understand its not for everybody, but it would take a very special job/package to pull me away from this life.
The way you guys now edit and put together a video, especially whilst on the road in a delivery van is nothing short of top notch. You would have thought you converted another van into a production van on wheels that followed you about. Well done and roll on the Artic... 👍🏻
Ah thanks Danny that’s lovely of you to say, it’s really fun to do the videos to be honest so I think it always helps when u enjoy what your doing hey 😁

I have some advise for you guys. In 1994 I hitch hiked from the middle of France up to Arhuus in Denmark. The temperature difference was astounding and it was about this time of year too. The coldest I experienced was -38 in Copenhagen and that was SERIOUSLY COLD. If you're gonna gear up for a winter in the Artic Circle, I would recommend Merino underwear, tops and bottoms (at the very least), and make sure you have plenty of fuel for the diesel heater and a good stock of food basics and winter emergency gear. There are videos on here that will teach you how to survive down to minus 50 as it will probably be that cold. Like the old saying goes: Rather you than me............
Cheers mate, thanks for the tips, we have ordered some merino wool under layers and socks, and like you say will stock up plenty, I’d rather have too much stuff just incase hey 👍

That's an excellent tip about waiting to get cold gear from the country you're going to. There is another way of finding out that I find useful too, although not as good. Being disabled and having a REAL issue with cold, I decided to find out how best to camp and cover myself if it gets real bad. I simply looked up the coldest climates on the planet, and when I watched people in Yakutia I found out about the methods and brands they use to keep warm. I found out a certain brand of coat (whose name I forget offhand) and bought one of those. I obviously will have paid much more than going there or somewhere where they sell them, but it's more than up to the job. It's worth bearing in mind that if you do ever get stuck to find out what people do in a certain environment and try to buy by the internet.
Love it, that’s a brilliant idea, I’m just watching a bloke now who is off to the arctic in the states so will have to keep an eye out on what he’s wearing too 👍

Guys! You gonna LOVE me for this solution to the cold cab, and for the snow on the windshield when you get to the cold places... Here it is: Buy a Horse blanket or a "Furnie pad" big enough to cover the windscreen and possibly the side windows too. Prevent the cold from even getting to the glass. Glass is a great thermal bridge and a shitty thermal insulator. Trust me on this. And for Jess.. The red squirrels are the cutest with their tufted ears, arent they? Sadly we dont have them in South Africa, but Ive seen them and the black ones in Germany.
Yeah I’ve seen things like that but unfortunately because we wild camp most of the time we can’t really use them as we have to be stealth, they are brilliant tho, oh they are so cute hey, didn’t know there were black ones in Germany tho
@@truebluetravellers Youre hardly stealth with that rig guys... Youll change your tune when you have to scrape the snow offa the windscreen tho. Its ok... Ill wait. Har! 😆
Only two places in the UK have red squirrels now - the other place is near here in a National Trust place called Freshfield, near Formby. (About 45 mins north of Liverpool). Although there was another outbreak of the evil squirrel pox last time I was there, and I don’t know how many they lost 🥺
Another enjoyable video to start the weekend on. Jon! Way too early to see that!! The next video needs Jess doing the same thing to make up for it. 😳🤣🤣🤣 If you want to see castles, come to Wales, we have so many to discover. Keep up the good work guys and have a great weekend.
Love the latest video. Done Scotland many times but there is always more to do. Kelpies at night are a sight. White van in the Arctic ... a dark van would absorb what little heat there is from the sun but white would camouflage you so as not to make an impact in the environment. But don't expect to be spotted on an ice flow if you need rescue 😂. You could always put the sainsbury paintwork back again and when challenged about camping you could always say you're lost on a delivery..
You are so natural the way you do things in your videos. A little bit too natural from Jon and I was counting my lucky stars that I'd eaten my snack 5 minutes earlier! 🙂 Seeing the van out and about being used really highlights what a good choice it is! The inside looks absolutely spacious and it looks really good outside too! I had a moment when I had to kick myself though as watching. Here in Japan, we've had bear attacks in the news almost every day for the past two months or so. A record amount and there have been a few fatalities. So many in fact, that as you were walking in the woods, I immediately started to worry that you didn't have bells (like little cow bells) on you or pepper spray...but quickly remembered that there aren't any bears in the UK! LOL Fun fact, we were staying in our caravan in Inawashiro, Fukushima in September and there had been a bear sighting near us and the police were coming round warning on their loud speakers and the campsite staff let off a few special bear fireworks that make an enormous bang to scare any that may be close by.
That’s unbelievable, so sad that there has been fatalities, it’s one thing we take for granted in the uk, there’s no wildlife here to harm us really, Japan is the top of my bucket list places to visit, can’t wait to go 👍
Fantastic video beautiful place Scotland but a lot of the time it's f******freezing lol you've gone out at the best time no midges . Regarding your comments on changing life direction brilliant ❤ I know a millionaire who gave me some advice when I wanted to start my own business 25 years ago We are all nice and warm and comfortable under that safe umbrella in our 9 to 5 job But sometimes when you come out of that umbrella ☔ It's not always raining !!!! Great video! A little tip for the clothing you're wanting to get for the Arctic. I bought the Merino wool thermal base layers from mountain warehouse, they were the best priced and they work a treat! Then, for the outer water/snowproof layers, I got a ski jacket and pair of skiing pants from an online ski shop named Dope Snow. They have built in insulation that really works but doesnt make the gear bulky. Its made for snowboarding so its super functional! The best thing we could have done! We weren't cold at all and it got down to -30 odd. Mountain Warehouse and DopeSnow for the win! Can't wait to see your next video!
This is music to our ears as we just ordered a bunch of merino thermals from mountain warehouse in the Black Friday sale last night! Thanks mate, we are getting some more snow stuff too so appreciate the tips 👍
Oh my lord above!! Moon rise before sunrise 🤣 that was one for the ladies 🤔 what about us blokes Jess 🤣🤣🤣 WOWSERS Scotland is epic everytime I see it, shame you can't share your park ups but I guess it's unfair! How's the solar and battery coping in this weather, you relying on driving to charge up the battery mainly 🤔 great video and as always entertaining All the best guy's Lee
Thanks lee, my bum is staying warm in the sheets 😂😂 all the park ups we have had on this trip have just been park for night to be honest, We parked up for the whole day the other day to do some editing and the battery dropped down to 60% so really happy with that to be honest, when we are driving tho we don’t even take notice as it’s not a problem so fingers crossed we should be good 👍
Paper plates on top of a normal plate saves the washing up mate, the normal plate gives it strength underneath and curry is difficult to wash in a campervan
Lovely video of you two in bonnie Scotland....scenery amazing....the shot of the Full Moon....nearly choked on my cuppa. Keep practising your accent Mrs Doubtfire....No kilt then Jon. Enjoy your journey...stay safe.....from Eileen
If you think these places are impressive during the day (the kelpies & the castle) you absolutely need to go see them at night when they're all lit up 😊👌💯
Amazing video, love that you got recognised! Please find the time to make a chopping board for the van! That was painful to watch it rocking around 😂😂 You've become a regular weekend watch for my wife and I, we love your energy!
Another fantastic video...and yes all the comments about Scotland are true,it really is an amazing place..again thank you for giving us all another fantastic video to watch..David..
I now associate Saturdays with looking forward to 'true blue travellers'. Really enjoying the content still guys. What about a low output heater on a timer to take the cab chill away. You must be dreading the transition from the back to the cab at the moment!?
Thanks very much mate, it’s not too bad as we just start the van and if we open the door the heat from the body goes into the cab but I will be installing an engine pre heater when we get back so I will have heat in the cab as soon as we start the engine so that should help 😁
I am really looking forward to seeing where you are going as I was recently living just north of Inverness. Pitlochry was always a stopping place going south and returning north. Have even stayed there a couple of times. Don't forget to have "high tea" at least once on your travels. I attended an equestrian event as a pro photographer at Blair. If you had parked, there is a walk though woodland beside a raging river and at one point an old rugged stone bridge. Enjoy all, really envious.
Loving yer video of scotland, being here in Oz but from Scotland it still tugs ma heart,go to Roslin chapel if you can, just outside of Edinburgh, they filmed the de Vinci code there,it so beautiful and historic than anywhere you will go to there's a presence that will tingle yer spine.take a walk in the Glen,I used to fish there as a bairn, majestic. All the very best from a very hot perth in Oz

Hi guys... we've been converting a refrigerated delivery van here in Spain and due to the extreme Tempsford here, we've decided to leave the refrigeration unit in taller. The walls, floor and roof are 6cm thick, but we're loving it compared to the usual panel vans and motor homes. Spanish regulations don't allow the fitting of windows unless you re register the van, so we're a stealth camper at the moment. Keep up with the good work and good luck with your travels. Dave & Tania. ..and our two dogs Nico and Text.
Hi guys, sometimes I think without windows would be good, very stealth and so much better for heat and cold, either way the square walls are a win hey 👍
@@truebluetravellers cheers for the reply. It's down to 7 degrees here in Almeria tonight and it's 22 degrees inside this van without heating and two vents open. The build isn't quite finished and it's been on a very tight budget, but it's been fun. 👍
Hi guys. I only caught your videos a couple of weeks ago and I've followed your Sainsburys van build. Videos are well made and your chemistry is infectious. Just watched your Scotland trip part one and as a Scot living in Yorkshire for the past 30 years I was keen to see where you went. I grew up near Stirling so am very familiar with the Kelpies and Stirling Castle etc. When I was a kid my parents used to take us up the Wallace Monument (or as my Dad called it the Wallace Ornament). From the top you can see the building I was born in which is long since part of the University. Like you I was fascinated by William Wallace's 'real' sword. And like you I also wondered how he could lift it never mind fight with it. However, I was traumatised by a documentary a few years back which showed it couldn't have been his sword as it was not old enough. Also it's not even a sword. It's two or three blades bonded together. I can't tell you how disappointed I was. Anyway, love the videos and have just subscribed. Regrettably I have to award 2 out of 10 for the Scottish accents. Here is a hint. Scots for home is not him. It's hame pronounced as in game. Good luck with the rest of your trip. If you get a chance, you should drive from Fort William to Oban around sunset.
Thanks alistair, it’s a beautiful part of the world for sure, that’s for all the tips and yep I just found out that the sword isn’t real, looks cool tho so I’ll just imagine it was real 😂 thanks for coming along with us 😁💙🏴
It's so funny seeing Stirling Castle in one of your videos when I was just there a few weeks ago 😄 And yes, the C word is a term of endearment/regular speech here too! Context is key though.

We are learning about Scotland and many more.
Take care always and stay safe ❤️
What a lovely thing to say thank you 💙
If you want to see castles, come to Wales, we have so many to discover.
Keep up the good work guys and have a great weekend.
😂😂😂 cheers Andrew, we have done quite a few in wales, the last one Conwy 👌 love it over there too
Love the latest video.
That’s exactly what I want to do with the sainsburys stickers but Jess isn’t keen, people would be well tripped out when they see it 😂
Wow! Amazing scenery 👌
Incredible hey, can’t believe it’s so close to us but we haven’t been before, we will definitely be coming more In The future
@@truebluetravellers one part of the British Isles Ive yet to visit.
Have any Sainsburys drivers waved back to you guys yet ?
Amazing sculptures...spolit by the flippoing power lines!
Magic aren’t they! Heard they are even better at night and bonus you wouldn’t see the lines then!
That’s unbelievable, so sad that there has been fatalities, it’s one thing we take for granted in the uk, there’s no wildlife here to harm us really,
Japan is the top of my bucket list places to visit, can’t wait to go 👍
If you don't have an engine pre-heater it might be a good idea to put a hose in the cabin from the diesel heater in the back?
Cheers mate, the engine pre heater is on order ready for when we get back to do the upgrades before the big trip 👍
@@truebluetravellers Well done mate! Your videos makes me smile again, thanks again. Compliments for the footage too: beautiful!
Fantastic video beautiful place Scotland but a lot of the time it's f******freezing lol
you've gone out at the best time no midges .
Regarding your comments on changing life direction brilliant
❤
I know a millionaire who gave me some advice when I wanted to start my own business 25 years ago
We are all nice and warm and comfortable under that safe umbrella in our 9 to 5 job
But sometimes when you come out of that umbrella ☔
It's not always raining !!!!
The same in life
I used call him the umbrella man 😊😊
Keep safe from Allan and carol
Love that saying, it’s so true 💙
If you save for a year or so you can come across to Northern Ireland on the ferry 😁
😂😂😂 we looked last year and the crossing was quite £££
I must say the laddie looks very handsome with his woolly hat on…
Bare bum is in good shape..(after the shock) I was waiting for him to buy a kilt.. Scots style…
Learning that it’s not only people have red hair.. also the deer and squirrels..👍loving revisiting Scotland with you guys.. ( I was there in May BC… Before Covid)

It surely is 🏴💙
Like ya relaxed vibe & natural dialogues. Thanks
Thanks 😁😁
You 2 are so funny 😊 video was great ...Have a lovely time
Thanks very much 😁💙
Great video!
You should do Northumberland Coast and Castle trail - incredible!
Thanks I’ll stick it on the list 😁
Great build. You should wrap it like a Sainsbury's delivery van. Stealth
I totally agree, Jess not so keen 🤷♂️
Oh my lord above!! Moon rise before sunrise 🤣 that was one for the ladies 🤔 what about us blokes Jess 🤣🤣🤣 WOWSERS Scotland is epic everytime I see it, shame you can't share your park ups but I guess it's unfair! How's the solar and battery coping in this weather, you relying on driving to charge up the battery mainly 🤔 great video and as always entertaining
All the best guy's Lee
Thanks lee, my bum is staying warm in the sheets 😂😂 all the park ups we have had on this trip have just been park for night to be honest,
We parked up for the whole day the other day to do some editing and the battery dropped down to 60% so really happy with that to be honest, when we are driving tho we don’t even take notice as it’s not a problem so fingers crossed we should be good 👍
hey john, 😅😅was that the crack of dawn i seen 😂😂 grear vids guys n look forward to many more
😂😂😂😂 cheers Neil 👍
Paper plates on top of a normal plate saves the washing up mate, the normal plate gives it strength underneath and curry is difficult to wash in a campervan
Just read this to him and he gave the most emphatic ‘oh yes’ I’ve ever heard 😂
Superb video, showed bonnie Scotland in all its glory, super shots of the Red Squirrels.
I was gutted niel as they kept going out of focus but so glad I got to see them
Lovely video of you two in bonnie Scotland....scenery amazing....the shot of the Full Moon....nearly choked on my cuppa. Keep practising your accent Mrs Doubtfire....No kilt then Jon. Enjoy your journey...stay safe.....from Eileen
😂😂 I’m on the lookout Eileen, I think I’d look good in a kilt 🤔😂
Peachy sunrise shot 😂
😂😂😂😂
Cold here in Scotland this morning! ❄
1’c today Denise 🥶🥶
If you think these places are impressive during the day (the kelpies & the castle) you absolutely need to go see them at night when they're all lit up 😊👌💯
Yeah I saw a pic of the kelpies the other day all lit up, looks incredible 🥰
Great video,nice hairdryer !
Keep up the fun. Stuff. I like your edit style 👍
That’s a lovely thing to say thank you 💙
Amazing video, love that you got recognised!
Please find the time to make a chopping board for the van! That was painful to watch it rocking around 😂😂
You've become a regular weekend watch for my wife and I, we love your energy!
😂😂thanks guys, I melted it in the house 🤦♀️ so chucked it in the van but I’m due a new one 😂
Been wiping too hard John, you've smudged it 🤣
😂😂😂
If you liked the Rhine castles you needed to talk a walk up Kinnoull Hill in Perth - the folly at the top was built to look like the Rhine castles
Oh really will have to check this out
@@truebluetravellers if you take a trip it’s well worth looking at the other larger folly at Binn Hill too - just along the road
Another fantastic video...and yes all the comments about Scotland are true,it really is an amazing place..again thank you for giving us all another fantastic video to watch..David..
Thanks David 😁😁
Wow just wow enjoy the fruits of your labour . Thank you for taking us along with you. ! 🤙
Thanks for coming along with us 😁
Great back flip Jess 🤓
😂😂😂 thanks 😊
I now associate Saturdays with looking forward to 'true blue travellers'. Really enjoying the content still guys. What about a low output heater on a timer to take the cab chill away. You must be dreading the transition from the back to the cab at the moment!?
Thanks very much mate, it’s not too bad as we just start the van and if we open the door the heat from the body goes into the cab but I will be installing an engine pre heater when we get back so I will have heat in the cab as soon as we start the engine so that should help 😁
The Sun and moon out at the same time 😮
😂😂😂😂 it’s a Christmas miracle 😂
😂
I am really looking forward to seeing where you are going as I was recently living just north of Inverness. Pitlochry was always a stopping place going south and returning north. Have even stayed there a couple of times. Don't forget to have "high tea" at least once on your travels. I attended an equestrian event as a pro photographer at Blair. If you had parked, there is a walk though woodland beside a raging river and at one point an old rugged stone bridge. Enjoy all, really envious.
Thanks very much Philip 😁
Love the parcelforce van in the background lol guess who I work for , Scotland is a beautiful country
😂😂😂🤔🤔🤔 Amazon 😂
Glad yous are enjoying it for a strange pic you should have tried goin to the pineapple while in Falkirk
Just googled this 😂😂😂 very strange hey 😁😂
That was a good capture of the red squirrel Jess
Thanks 😁, I was gutted it kept going out of focus but at least I got a bit of them 😁😁
When you go on your arctic adventure maybe you can check out the worlds biggest ’Spanner sculpture’ in Enköping in Sweden . (Sorry Jess😘)
No way if this is real I’m definitely going 😂👍👍
Loving yer video of scotland, being here in Oz but from Scotland it still tugs ma heart,go to Roslin chapel if you can, just outside of Edinburgh, they filmed the de Vinci code there,it so beautiful and historic than anywhere you will go to there's a presence that will tingle yer spine.take a walk in the Glen,I used to fish there as a bairn, majestic.
All the very best from a very hot perth in Oz
Thanks delboy, made me tingle just reading your message, if there’s one thing I’ve learnt about the Scottish it’s that they are rightfully patriotic 🏴🏴🏴🏴💙💙
Was there this summer and the Falkirk wheel very impressive.
Beautiful hey 🏴
Love the build series, think ad lib is better than reading a script.
Cheers mate 👍
Love it and John is a legend 👍🏻
😂😂😂 cheers mate 👍
Hi guys... we've been converting a refrigerated delivery van here in Spain and due to the extreme Tempsford here, we've decided to leave the refrigeration unit in taller.
Think Jess and her Scottish accent there was definitely a hint of Newcestle. Lol.
😂😂😂😂 I know 🤦♀️
Used to be a very very good drink can't buy it now, Enjoy Scotland
Thanks 😁😁
Thanks alistair, it’s a beautiful part of the world for sure, that’s for all the tips and yep I just found out that the sword isn’t real, looks cool tho so I’ll just imagine it was real 😂 thanks for coming along with us 😁💙🏴
It's so funny seeing Stirling Castle in one of your videos when I was just there a few weeks ago 😄
And yes, the C word is a term of endearment/regular speech here too! Context is key though.
😂😂 yeah I’ll not use it just incase 😂
The two of you are so natural. The van is a beast, the content epic greetings from South Africa
Cheers Shaun 👍👍👍
You guys are amazing, you have spoken about so much of what I have been thinking about for a very long time.
Rethinking my comfort zone as being a DangerZone 👍🏾
An thanks, yeah I love that saying, I remind myself about it quite allot 😊
great mini film, There are no foreign lands. It is the traveller only who is foreign.
Thanks very much, love this. Such a great way to think of it 💙
Got to walk the dog first… I’ll be back in a while with my breakfast to join the adventure 👍🤣❤️🇬🇧
😂😂😂 cheers mate, give them a pat from us 👍
