  • Gangsterism is spiralling out of control in townships. A community of Bekkersdal in West Rand is enraged and shocked at members of gangs who killed each other. In the process, innocent members of the community got caught in the firing line.
In Etwatwa near Daveyton in the East Rand, three members of the gang were burnt alive by community members. They accused them of disturbing order in their area. Leihlo La Sechaba talks to these gang members, the police in the respective places and affected family members. Which elements in the community sparked these gang-related deeds?

Watching from Bekkersdal. I remember watching this episode on TV in 2016 and i saw Atheayabonga and he wasn't buried yet when this episode aired on our TV's... ba bolayane hle we were traumatized as a community.😢We lost so many souls in our township many of them are no more and few in prison,Not forgetting Lesley,he was so innocent 😢i still don't understand to this day why he was brutally killed. But now those are the things of a past we thank God🙏

This is so sad. I honestly do not understand their mindset. How does one choose crime for a living?! Some might say it is not a choice BUT there's ALWAYS a choice. Yes, circumstances may push one to do crime but there's ALWAYS a choice. The morality to choose between right and wrong...You conscience is your guide. If one has lost all emotions and sense of humanity in that their conscience no longer dictates to them what is right and what is wrong, then it is sad to say this but ALL HOPE IS LOST for that person
