As someone who’s severely sick, who’s also in my twenties, and am seeing 10 specialists and new ones each week, and I’m instructed I’m in no condition to work right now, and I’ve been in and out of the hospital for almost a full year now, hearing that mom’s opinion that the daughter with cardiac issues is being a brat and needs to be kicked out is really scary and awful to hear. Every day I’m scared because of how bad my medical issues have been, and I just am so grateful my parents are supporting me because I get really freaked out at the thought of not having them helping me right now. I had an abusive parent who my mom divorced thank goodness, and he never paid for child support and put all parenting responsibilities on my mom. If I were living with him to this day I would get zero help and I don’t even want to think about where I’d be…I’ve needed surgery and other medical treatments, and every day I’m in a lot of suffering. To think that a mother like her would kick her child out for being entitled, is really really scary and upsetting to think about. Thank God my mom isn’t like her. My parents are both in medicine so they’ve been on my case trying to figure things out with me. Feeling really fortunate right now knowing how much my parents take my health seriously because all my doctors feel bad for me and know I’m sick, that mom almost sounds like she doesn’t care if her child were to get really sick like that. I had a school nurse in my early teen years when I was 13-14years old, yell at me and told me I was lying about my health. She made fun of me to another child my age explaining how overdramatic I was being and I was still in the room with her. I completely forgot about that memory because I grew up and moved on with life and had important things to do. When I got sick all of a sudden I’m remembering that, and I realized how that must have impacted me. Because for years I just pushed forward with my medical problems going through school and trying to just perform, then my body crashes and can’t keep going, and now I’m seeing doctors confirming my medical issues are real and severe. I realize that nurse gaslighted me when I was 13/14 years old, and made me feel like my medical issues weren’t important and that no one would believe me. Parents like this woman in that video are despicable, because like that nurse was when I was a child, they don’t realize how their actions are hurting kids in the long run, and that nurse went on to have a baby and give birth that year. I just hope she was kinder to her daughter than she was to me because I didn’t expect her words to hurt me all these years later, I literally forgot about that experience and moved on. But it’s weird to see how those things had affected your development long term.

And sadly, my own ableist family has said these things to me and society devalue people like us. Ableist people also love to accuse us of faking, and the disbelief and discrimination are just as traumatizing as the illnesses themselves. Wish you the best, sorry to hear about your struggles. 💛

The only time I was considered with a disability was with having ptsd, but never for my physical health was I considered disabled except for the occasional injured ankle. I don’t want to be considered disabled, I don’t want to label myself that. I feel like I’m putting myself in a box that way. I just know when your body screams out for help and when it does we have no other choice but to listen. I know people are ableist and think disability only looks one certain way. And it sucks when that mentality makes people not take your medical issues seriously. I had to switch primary care doctors this year because of that, she didn’t take it seriously and wasn’t proactive to help me. Once I switched to a better primary care doctor she got right on my case even though she wasn’t able to take new primary care patients; she was really concerned for me and knew my situation was desperate. I got really fortunate. Then the other 9 specialists started to treat each issue, and were like “yeah you have severe medical problems it’s this-this- and -this” and “you actually have to see this doctor and that doctor to treat this-and-that.” Appreciate the solidarity and appreciate the really good doctors that do care🤍

I know she's crazy because the clip of her threatening to cut the daughter's toy literally was a trauma i had from my own parent. They did that to my Emily doll, ripped her right in front of me because as a 10 year old I "talked back" and I will never forget the anxiety, the confusion, the anger from that moment. and the blame that was placed on me in the aftermath. the crazy parent really thought they were teaching me a lesson when all i learned that night was that my parent was emotionally abusive and i needed to find a way out. I think that this is who Ruby has always been deep down, but she hid it until she gained fame and notoriety from CZcams, which caused her to be comfortable with slowly upping the ante with the abuse and then she met Jodi, who's just like her but has gotten away with hurting people the way Ruby has always wanted to herself, and the two became a (seemingly) unstoppable duo and the abuse accelerated. These women are fucking monsters and I hope they get the full 90 years in prison.
My sister is like this and I feel bad for my nephew. He's with her and we're trying to reach out to authorities of what we can do. She's very manipulative and been trying to portray that this tough love is essential to the kid. Worse, the kid's slightly on the spectrum. :(

We're not from the US btw. We have CPS equivalent here but they said they can't do anything at the moment coz the kid is underage and the law automatically recognizes his mom as the parent (even though she's been abusive towards him throughout his life). My sister has been very manipulative with him since now he doesn't want to make his own decisions without consulting her. Police won't even do anything about it. From where I am, this is very common so govt just usually brushes this off as one of those cases. @@T-Gunnn

I have 7 siblings and I am the semi-last. My parents mentally and physically abused me because they didn't wanted me, but my brother who came after me, last, was my mother's holy grail.
"Father" took internet away from me for legit my whole life, even in my early 20's he still treated me like a tantrum throwing teenager, told me my mental health isn't real and it doesn't exist, lmao. He got mad at me for being mentally disabled, but who's fault is it? Exactly, his.. and my "Mother's". I can really imagine how her kids must feel getting your phone taken away or your room (it was not the room for me but my door...) or living with her. horrible. Thanks to my abusive "parents" I obviously live with depression now, have PTSD and crippling anxiety!

I do not know these women, but I am eternally scarred by their words and cruel behaviour and outlook on parenting....
