- Today's quiz takes you on a journey through the world of 70s TV, from A to Z. There are 25 picture and word clues (no letter X!) to memorable television shows which were on our screens during the 1970s. How many can you identify?
Best of luck and happy quizzing! - Zábava
A quiz aimedat Brits instead of Americans for a change! Excellent.
That was the best 7 minutes I've had in a long time. Thank you.
Many thanks for playing Sean! Glad you enjoyed it.
Great quiz thanks Stu brought back some memories 20/26.
Thanks as always Ken!
👍 thanks again for the upload…
22/25, had Elizabeth 1 for E, didn’t get Y, and tried hard to get a Noel Edmonds show beginning with “The” 🙄, and some I don’t know from what depths of my memory I managed to drag up the answers
All very much appreciated 👍😁
Many thanks as always for playing!
21/25, but in my defence, I was born in 1973..🤩🤩👍👍👍
ooooh! 3 wrong didn't know F thought Hickory House was Hector's House and never bloody heard of Y! Great soundtrack by the way. Off to sulk. Best wishes and take care mate
Many thanks as always Jimmy! Yes, letter Y is a tricky one as I didn't really have many shows to choose from for that letter. All the best!
Pat Coombs and.... Can't quite remember. She was in a 50s film called Sailor Beware.
I remember Hector's House. I think it was French. Kiki the frog? Sexy cat. Always remember the one where Hector got some thorns or spines stuck in his nose!
@@JohnJohn-hd1pc Peggy Mount?
@@jimmyviaductophilelawley5587 That's it! Thank you😁
😀🤗 Maybe my best ever score, only two I did not know, as were never shown in my county_ The Golden House, and Hickory House. Such wonderful memories of a better Era of television 📺❤. Thanks so much for putting this together...
Many thanks for playing Alan. Great score too!
The Golden House? The Golden Shot.
Enjoyed the quiz, thank you. Really good shows back then.
Glad you enjoyed it. Many thanks!
Brilliant, I remembered 22 out of 25
Hickory House!!! Humphrey Cushion (I think- I'll check when I've finished watching), Alan Rothwell? Dusty Mop?
Thank you again Stu View - you just transported me back to a wonderful part of my childhood!😆
That's him - Humphrey Cushion! You're right with Alan Rothwell too, who is still going strong today. Glad you enjoyed the memories! Many thanks for watching.
Didnt get Quatermass and said Elizabeth 1 instead of "R". Really enjoyed this 👍 thank you
Like wise 😅
I thought I did well to get 20 given I wasn't born till 1976 lol
That brought back a few memories, I got 23 out of the 25, Hickory house and Space 1999, I didnt remember them.
A to Z Quiz of 70s TV 📺 21/25. 🤔 One programme I had never heard of: “Hickory House”! How did I NOT get “The Rockford Files” and “Top of the Pops”!! Three series I remember enjoying watching: “Jesus of Nazareth” “You’re Only Young Twice” and “The Duchess of Duke’s Street” with Gemma Jones. Who went on to star as the Mother to “Bridget Jones.” What an imaginative Quiz. Thanks again for the memories.🥰
Just found your channel and I love it! Thank you. I didn't get H but shouted Humphrey Cushion at my screen 😂
Thank you so much! Welcome aboard!
The NEW Avengers
I remember going to the hairdressers and asking for the ‘purdey’ hair cut
Always love Joanna
👍 👍 ❤️❤️
20/25 good memories
I only had one wrong! A great quiz!
Great score!
That was fun thank you 😀
Glad you enjoyed it!
20/25, not too bad. BTW thanks for these quizzes. Most enjoyable.
Glad you are enjoying them! Many thanks for playing.
I guessed 12 out that many
22/25. Didn't get H, Q or Y. Great fun to play as always.
Many thanks!
70s 80s TV was a really good mixed bag of really good programs not relying on realty TV
The era of proper telly!
Got the lot!!!! I would have come up one short but You Are Only Young Twice has been repeated on TV lately so I remembered. Beautiful Purdy, fat guts Cannon, Kojack sucking his lollypop because he's quitting smoking, AYBS,
it must be the seventies, a much maligned decade but for us teenagers it was magical. Cheers Stu.
Top stuff! Many thanks as always.
2:58 I drove past Jesus on the m1 25years ago. He was driving a blue merc with the reg ACT1. His son was in the back seat playing under a duvet. Robert didn’t wave back.
22. H and Y stumped me and I was trying to get two words for S. I got Q but I thought it was a 50s show. Didn't realise it was remade in the 70s
24/25 - didn't get Top of the Pops! Was desperately trying to think of one of Noel's Saturday evening shows 🙄
So close to a full house!
Got them all except Hickory House. Fun fact.....the actress who played The Duchess of Duke Street was Gemma Jones who also played Madam Pomfrey, the school matron, in the Harry Potter films.
Nice fact!
Somehow, I managed to work out "The Duchess of Duke Street" without even consciously knowing there was ever a show of that name!
That's impressive!
Got Hickory House & World of Sport wrong, so 23/25 !
Very enjoyable but I went completely blank on "S". I got the first word but just mucked it up.
Only got H wrong but I recognised the actor he played Ken Barlow's brother in Coronation Street, I think his name is Alan Rothwell.
Spot on!
I remember Cannon being more generously covered……or am I getting him mixed up with Bluey?
Good quiz got Hickory house wrong,,,,
Got them all apart from Rockford files and your only young twice dash it
Nice score.
Dropped 5
Is that Mike Gambit (Gareth Hunt? New Avengers) standing back right in the Upstairs Downstairs pic?
And Brian Blessed in Z Cars? The things you forget
Only got 13, but I'm a Yank so not too bad.
Born in 72 and got eleven right 🏴
No X Files?
