40/40. 70's is my favorite decade for music...
39/40 Smokie? REALLY!
39/40 only 1 in the middle I'd never heard of to this day.
35/40 would have gotten 3 more If I knew who the Artist was
I got all but one of them right. Helps to have a dad who loves his classic rock.
39/40, including the artist. Missed #24. I guess the 70s was my jam! Excellent choices.
knew 35/40 got the artists on 33
35 out of 40 couple I should have got, but never.
Freddie Mercury, Brian May, John Deacon, Roger Taylor .
Steve Walsh, Robbie Steinhardt, Kerry Livgren, Rich Williams, Dave Hope, Phil Ehart.
Songs I got: 15
Songs I recognized but couldn't name: 8
Songs I SHOULD have gotten: 10
Artists I got: 11
Yes Deborah 78. I guess you and I both listened to a LOT of radio during the 70's
I missed one, but I'm giving myself 100%, because..........I owned over 300 albums in 1979, and not one of them was by the most overrated band of all time: KISS.
38/40 Right. I missed the one by Smokie and “Wonderful Tonight” by Eric Clapton- I said “The Way You Look Tonight” instead. Do I get credit since I got the artist right and I was close as far as guessing the song title?
Ian Gillan, Ritchie Blackmore, Roger Glover, Jon Lord, Ian Paice.
38/40. One song I never heard or it or the band. Something about living next door to Alice?
35/40. Don't feel bad about this result being that I wasn't born until 1984.
36 of 40. Thank you for posting.
36 out of 40!😊
Phil Lynott, Scott Gorham, Brian Robbo Robertson, Brian Downey.
36/40. One I never heard and some where there wasn’t enough played to remember the song.
34//40. Not bad since the 60's were more my decade
John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison, Ringo Starr. As if you don't already know.
Wow. I ve never been highlighted for anything. i had to go through ....na na na ....Killer Queen. And I actually taped (over the air) Smokies 24 years on my tape recorder
36/40. Not too bad 🎉
Published on my birthday.#65!
Great quiz thanks managed 33/40
Got 23 right which is the best I've never done!!
34/40 Today, we were singing along but just could not pull the artist or title out of our brain boxes haha Great quiz again sweetpea..Thank you muchlies 😁🥰
Not bad! 😀 Atleast one more 70’s quiz coming next week! 😊
I missed 3 but recognized 2 of them when you played the chorus to reveal the answer.
37/40 knew artists of 2 couldnt get song in time
38/40
Smokie??? They didn't chart in Canada, I'll say that. Don't know them at all. I lived in the 70's and I could name almost every song and band instantly.
It reached no. 17 in the Canadian charts, so they might be more famous in europe where they topped the charts in at least 9 countries :)
Was top 10 in Australia?! Smokie were big here.Chris Norman then did 'Stumblin' In " with Suzi Quatro..again big in Australia
I got 36/40. a couple I knew but I couldn’t remember the names of the songs I’ll say this, when people talk about losing your memory as you get older they weren’t kidding, the only thing about it being scary now is when will it stop. My dad has Alzheimer’s and I am concerned about me having it.
26/40 - Przyzwoicie...
26/40
I knew all of them, even the ones I didn't like (Terry Jacks, anyone).
I always get that at our trivia night. Nobody ever know who sung it...BUT I DO!! Loved 1974!!
I got two wrong. Cat in the Cradle - knew the song but didn't get it in time. Can't remember what the other one was now.
30 songs 34 bands
