True except in the current state both the conqueror and ms rune E max Garen builds are probably still stronger. Most of Garen's strength is probably in the ridiculously buffed W.

This is the only viable Garen build in Wild Rift btw...
Well it really matters. I run phase rush if I’m up against Nasus or Singed, but over all 85% of the time you run Grasp
That's cause wild rift not having janky controls makes all the characters as easy to play as garen which is his main strength.

If you want to do this, just put 3 points into Q for laning and grasp poke, and then max E.
always cancel E for Auto-R, you can do it instantly if u press fast enough. Also when flashin on people flash AA-Q its also reset so if u press fast enough its more dmg

Isn't it better to wait for Demolish and then Q for that damage? Or is it the same amount just all at once instead of in 2 attacks?
Same amount just not as visually satisfying, the key is to ensure your q is an auto reset to do it as fast as you can!
Demolish damage scales with hp
It depends. If using the q before demolish proc would take a plate, then hold it. Demolish does not do true damage, and it would do less damage due to increased protections with more plates taken.

It is not because using it earlier you get the spell back faster (lets say my Q is 10 seconds CD and demolish takes 5 seconds to proc, doing auto-Q puts the spell in cooldown in about a second, so afet demolish procs we need to wait 6 seconds to do another auto-Q, if I wait for my demolish I need to wait 10 seconds after the first 5 seconds, so I'm wasting a lot of dps and demolish scales with hp not with damage)
Now imagine you were playing yorick and not garen thou xD
q max allows you take ignite wiht it making you go back to lane in like 17 sec or less if you dare to take 2% ms rune

You can split on Garen without craps of the dying. The bonus hp you get from grasp won't add relevant dmg to demolish and hullbreaker. Just go Conqueror
Grasp is very good vs tank lanes. Try it

@@PaladineAvenger1 its a playstyle preference. Grasp Qmax allows you to do amazing short trades vs tanks and eventually kill them. Imo it is more consistent than Conq vs tanks. Although I still prefer phase rush over the other two in most scenarios

It used to be a broken item that won you every sidelane 1v1 against anyone without hullbreaker, but now it’s a balnced neiche item for splitpushers. I’m way happier with its current state, and that’s coming from someone who abused old hullbreaker.

garen is honestly one of the most unskilled champs in this entire game. Not a single ability that requires you to aim. Does absolutely retarded amounts of damage and to top it off gets a million movement speed lmfao.
