As an Native New Yorker and lifelong Knicks fan i can say this man checks all the boxes and i go to sleep at night knowing we got a real one

As a Knicks fan, I feel like we got a steal even at the price he's paid. Considering all things... A- He has been our best player consistently all year and it's not just his stats that prove it, it's his leadership. B- He puts forth an effort at both ends of the floor, not just scoring but getting his team involved. His quick pace and decision making are why we need the ball in his hands as opposed to a slower pace of Knicks just dumping it in for one on one situations. And C- He says out of trouble and is a true "stand up" guy when it comes to being a professional. He is a role model and doesn't let his success go to his head. He is proud to be here and I'm glad he is wearing my teams uniform. (D- He helped in our acquisition of Hart). ❤️

As a german I been watching lots of Mavs games and always been impressed with his vision and shiftyness esp in the post. Haven't seen too much of the Knicks season but wow today he dropped 48 on the Cavs. Hard work pays off.

How was someone with this many accolades overlooked? All the signs for greatness were there. He performed in the clutch on the biggest stages. What more could you ask for? This was a massive scouting failure!
Knicks fan here since the 90s. That 2018 draft was another heartbreaker...the Knicks could have had Mikal Bridges but they went for Kevin Knox...Kevin "Fort Nite" Knox!

Because he left college as a junior if he left after his 1st year he would have been a lottery pic nba never draft college players high who stay in college anymore
Definitely wasnt high cause of his size and not being super athletic. But for him to fall to the 2nd round is crazy. I'm sure they thought he would struggle in the nbs compared to college but determination, skill and heart will always win out.

His dad played for the Knicks and he used to bring Jalen Brunson at the garden sometimes.
And for those who don't know his dad is part of the Knicks coaching staff this season.
So? Mark Cuban still had a chance to sign brunson twice last season, once before the season started and another mid way through the season but he chose not to because he undervalued him because its all about Luka.

Mavs had a chance to offer him $55M over 4 years after Brunson’s 3rd year. Typical Mark Cuban waited until the 4th year trade deadline, after Brunson got even better, to offer him the same lowball contract.
It’s even worse, could have got him on that deal in January of his final year but they decided not to. But I’m a Knicks fan so I’m happy

Knicks had made playoffs with Julius Randle and RJ carrying the weight, so they were not under any curse. They did however need improvement and Jalen Brunson completed that piece to the puzzle.

The problem was they kept looking for a star player instead of finding true floor general who fits Thibbs system and can make the game easier for Randle and RJ.
If you find the right point guard to help the team win, they can and will become a star player. Sometimes people put the cart before the horse. Brunson is what the Knicks needed.
Josh Hart was the icing on the cake. Two guys who won NCAA championships now together on the same NBA team and they both fit Thibbs system perfectly....SERIOUSLY!!!! You can't make this up!!!

I was skeptical of this guys contract but now he's earned my lifetime respect.
A key word in this video is 'capable'. This is what I have been seeing in these Knicks players the last couple of years. Now they added another capable guy who bring poise to the entire team. Each and everyone one of these guys are capable of having a big night.
It's the perfect team because when one or two players are having an off night? The other guys pick them up. This team doesn't have to rely on two star players. It's deep in talent.

It was always obvious he was gonna be elite. Dude had a high 50 % field goal percentage and a high 80s free throw percentage. He’s a smart, effective shooter. Low personal fouls, good steals, elite point guard. Bridges was another one you could always point out if you paid attention to certain stats
