With music by Weyse, Grieg and Sven-David Sandström, the program progresses from the light of morning to the fire of evening and concludes with the stunning Requiem by Gabriel Fauré which describes the eternal light and the singing of angles.

I sang this as a choir boy with Father Flanagan’s Home for Boys. Always for Fr. Flanagan’s memorial mass and at High School graduation ceremony. Thank you.
Absolute perfection! Just the right size small ensemble to sing this and all the voices & musicians so exquisite! Thank you for posting this!
'... and the singing of angles.' To quote pope Gregory the Great 'Non angli sed angeli'. Beautiful performance.
You, sir, are a man of culture! Thank you for making me smile.
The tasteful use of vibrato is yet another touch on this exquisite performance.
The slowdown in tempo leading into the line "et de profundo lacu".... that sent chills down my spine. Lovely touch. Congratulations.
What a great baritone solo

@@elliott7630 Currently, practising at home, impatiently awaiting the time our choir can again physically sing together.
An exquisite performance of this great work - and from such a small ensemble!
Beautiful performance! The timing of the commercials was nearly its ruin!
Nice, who made the arrangement for this version?
Fauré. It’s his church performance version. The usual one is his concert score.
Wunderbar. Vielen Dank.
Méritoire mais effectifs un peu minces pour cette grande oeuvre polyphonique. Mais je reconnais de vrais talents et des voix superbes.
super
Organist at the end of the Kyrie? Excuse me? :-O
Sehr schön, wahrlich. Frage: Dieser große Klang stammt von diesem kleinen Ensemble?
I'm afraid this jarred from start to finish. Ballet shoes should be worn for Faure, not workmens' boots. Some instruments exploded into action when only the mildest presence is called for.
Tudo bastante desencontrado...CREDO!!!!😱🤯
So beautiful and size here is irrelevant hahaha
Qué delicia...ni toses ni ruidos
