    For what it’s worth, GW nixed the idea of adding Tzaangors to Total War Warhammer 3, they insisted they were a 40k/AoS design and not for the old WFB universe. So the marked units in that game had to be pretty generic, not like the more heavily themed models.

    Some reasonable guesses there, I agree with most of them.
    I believe Warriors of Chaos will be last in line though, for two reasons. First of all, the whole narrative of TOW is leading up to the Great War and the appearance of Khuls horde. So having all other factions being "done" that gives enough time and opportunities to explore the setting in a variety of ways before going for the inevitable all out war. Secondly - and this is the cynic in me speaking here - I assume GW wants to milk the sales of AoS models to WoC players as much as possible before bringing back the older line and selling that all over again (probably to other folks, but still).
    As for other factions: I guess GW will take hints from things in the Total War series. So Beastmen could very well get their Thing In The Woods - even though I hope they do not just re-release that weird Mordheim sculpt but go for something new.

      But I love the Mordheim Thing in the Woods sculpt!

      @@90percentgeek I would be happy for you if it returns, and be equally happy to see a modern interpretation of the idea.

    Do you think that the Empire of Man arcane journal might have Talabecland in it? Talabheim and the cult of Taal were major players in the Time of Three Emperors, as Ludwig XII one of the three emperors.

    • @90percentgeek
      @90percentgeek  Před 4 měsíci

      I mean it's certainly possible, but what unique units would you add for them?

      @@90percentgeek Priests of Taal maybe or a form of huntsman that's better than the standard archer?

    • @90percentgeek
      @90percentgeek  Před 4 měsíci

      Maybe, though to my mind that's the role halflings would fill.

    • @derekjayne2214

      @@90percentgeek that makes sense, seeing how the Moot was part Ludwig XII's allies. It just wouldn't make sense to me if they were to focus on the time of the Three Emperors and leave out one of the theree emperors.

    I might be misremembering, but aren't the Reiksguard founded post the Great War?
    Not that this would preclude foot knights from other orders.
    I suspect we won't get 3 empire lists, because the Flavour Pamphlets are all focused on events in the Border Princes/Badlands.
    My guess for Empire would be a knightly crusade list adding Foot Knights and Teutogen Guard as new units.
    The second list would be some sort of mercantile list with the venerable War Wagon as a new unit.

      @90percentgeek  Před 4 měsíci +2

      If they re-release the war wagon I'm getting two! I want to play through the Idol of Gork campaign at some point and they are idea for the second scenario.

      I don't want them to be over powered but I do hope the slayer army is usable. As much as I love slayers they are terrible right now. I still take them but they are not good even for friendly games. The dwarves could use a little boost right now, pun intended.

      Previously they caused an automatic str5 hit on every model in base contact before even chariot impacts hits were resolved, and then hit every model in base contact with the first model on a 4+. A unit of five could easily puree a unit four times their size.
