As long promised, the first of my Battlefleet Gothic Battle Reports! As mentioned in my first ever live stream, I have challenged my lovely wife to learn the game and take me on in my first game of Gothic in nearly 2 decades! Liked the long form, excitement was very obvious from the interactions. A build from me is the orientation of the graphics looked to be flipped from the perspective we see via the camera (if that makes sense). Thanks for the content.

Great game of BFG. I am about 50 minutes and something i want to address is you should get in the habit of offering your opponent the opportunity to "brace for impact" if they wish before proceeding with the shooting.
That's a very good point, at several points during this game I got way over competitive and could have been a better sport.
Its okay. A couple of other things you might want to do as good practice is orders before movement ( if your opponent has ships on special orders your fleet gets plus 1 leadership to their orders). And i dont know if you decided to use the original versions of the torp salvo rules but you might enjoy using the 3 torp marker with a D6 on or behind it to display its strength (2010 compendium/FAQ). Im sorry about being rule refereeing here. I did really enjoy your Game i hope to see more in the future.
This was AWESOME! Please more BFG reps with the added event maps! Loved it! Lol I'll admit at times I started to feel a little dizzy, but your wife seems super lovely, I hope she had fun and would play again so we can have more BFG content!

I've had them since the game was still on the shelves - I bought them umpteen years ago when I was working at GW Swansea. Wish I had bought even more!

i know you didn't get all of the rules correct but your enthusiasm and your wife's dry charm make up for any rules errors! i hope she had a good time and you two play some more because it's quite entertaining. :)

@@90percentgeek as somebody with a similar disposition, i think it's a pretty good one! maybe in the future, her flagship can be The Dry Charm. :D especially terrifying moniker given how much work she did with that Nova Cannon here. did she, in fact, have a good time even though it was not a short game?
did want to mention that -- playing with only the Big Blue Book -- you have to fire any Nova Cannons first to prevent guessing based on previously measured shots.
