    Thank you very much, I've adapted this to use with my new Yamaha MS-1 Motorcycle Controller on my pc. There is literally nothing to help people get this thing to work on pc. I wish I knew how to make something like this (grandpa gamer and not savvy enough to do it) For anyone trying to get the MS-1 to work, you'll need the Brooks Super Converter PS2 > PS3/PS4/PC (It says it's supported but it doesn't work per their instructions) and then follow his instructions. You won't be able to map it completely because of button conflicts but you can get the basic controls and then use the keyboard to get around in menus. I made a couple of quick reference jpgs from the manual but not sure how to add them here. Thanks again!

    Best narration of how to use an emulator I've seen. I wish I had seen it prior to my buying a wheel. However, now that I have gotten use to a controller playing American Truck Simulator with a controller. I've got a wheel, and my issue is that the button's I've got use to being in their various location's. Suck when because the wheel where the button are located on rotates, there's an issue when rotating the wheel in a turn, and using the dam button's. The biggest issue is; A controller generally has it right stick as a look settings, meaning looking up, down, left and right. A wheel doesn't have the ability to look in any direction except straight ahead. Which is great, if one is racing, not so much if one is trying to nagociate a 90 degree trun at an intersection.

      @SingleRacerSVR  Před 2 lety

      I understand what your saying WM, and thanks for the opening compliment. Interestingly, I only have the Logitech Wheel to work with, which doesn't come with a HAT/DONGLE like switch. Would be interesting to know if one of those DD owners that had a toggle switch similar to like on a controller, could map it successfully enough to look around like what you are talking about?

      I had a problem with the steering going loose on startup, forgot about the G Hub steering range setting. So to that end lads, if your x360ce emulator plays up with the steering even tho the G Hub setting says it's set to 180°, the emulator forgot that on startup so you have to go to G Hub and set to Max then reset to your desired degree range.
      The emulator and G Hub don't talk to each other as well as you'd want. Might need 'reminding' every now and then.

    • @SingleRacerSVR
      @SingleRacerSVR  Před 2 lety +1

      Thankyou for your comment Raveryn. Maybe if you were to cut & paste the x360 program INTO the actual game directory that doesn't work, and see if that helps. This is the newer version - but the older version, you used to HAVE to place a copy into every game directory you used to play. I would suggest maybe trying the older version as well - but I'd be worried that they might clash and muck up your currently saved settings. But one way you could get around that if you really wanted to get this working in one particular game that it isn't at the moment, is I would open the software up, and simply take (& SAVE) a "screengrab" of how I have my current settings. As I think when you get used to it - it should really only take 5-10 minutes to input all the settings back into it from scratch. But this way, maybe you could try the OLDER version on that more difficult game, and see if it helps. And if not, just reinstall the new version again - but you have all your settings saved in a pic you can refer to back again. Very Vest of Luck with it, Raceryn

    Thanks for the tutorial.. but after trying I'm coming to terms in accepting games that doesn't natively support steering wheel. This solution, although work, is a far cry of what a native support is.. doesn't really feel great mostly because of Xbox controller support in games always have a quite large deadzone... which you can try and compensate with the anti-deadzone option of the X360ce but at the end of the day it just doesn't feel great to play a racing game this way. If it was this simple.. every racing game would have wheel support.. which is not the case.
    In case you are wondering.. I tried with Hotshot and Sonic Team Racing... neighter provided a good experience with wheel emulating a 360 controller.

      I can't confirm myself that you can, Cqlx (just never tried it). But remember that X360CE only see's it as an input signal - so providing that you assign it to a spare empty box within x360ce - and then assign it in game as the handbrake - I see no logical reason it shouldn't work.

    x360ce doesn't detect my Logitech G29 at all. Doesn't show up in devices anywhere.
    I tried running in administrator, replugging, didn't work. It recognised my ps4 controller but not my steering wheel.

    • @SingleRacerSVR
      @SingleRacerSVR  Před 8 měsíci

      I can't give you the reason why, BlitzEGG. But what happened to me is somehow my front USB stopped detecting the wheel. So I have 3 USB 3.0 ports on the front of my PC (more at the back). Then suddenly one of them stopped being able to load the G29, yet the USB still worked with USB sticks some how. I'm talking about when you click on "Devices & Printers" in Windows, it somehow wouldn't load the driver software that lets you 'calibrate" the wheel within Windows itself. But as soon as I plugged it into one of the OTHER 3 USB ports, the ability to calibrate it came back - yet I have no clue why. So that's my suggestion - just try a USB port that lets you see that calibration TAB, then retry the x360ce Software again... GOOD LUCK!!!

    • @BlitzEGG

      @@SingleRacerSVR I found the setting you're talking about in Windows, I also have 3 USB ports and when I plug in the Logitech g29 it shows up in any one of them. I don't know what it is you're talking about with the calibration or loading driver software, that doesn't show up anywhere in the windows settings devices and printers, so I'll do some research or something.
      I also tried plugging in the usb in different places while using x360ce, which did nothing.
      By the way I use Windows 11.

      The only advise I can give Tiny Boy - is whatever game or the x360 software if your using it - is that you DON'T have to turn the wheel all the way. So in FH4 for example, if it has a calibration option, where it asks you to turn the wheel left & right, only turn it a little each way. And this should (arguably?) tighten that middle zone, when you actually go racing... good luck

      So sorry Jam, but this was always meant as a simple video to show just how it works - IF? it works. I am not experienced enough to know how to solve any issues with other wheels though. All I can do is give the same advise as I do to everyone else. And that is that the website has it's own dedicated FORUM. So if your willing to join up, then I am sure you can find the answer there, as they would be used to all the issues that occur with other peoples wheels. Best of Luck

    Great video, I have a fanatec Forza CSR, the cheapest fanatec you can get,and it's great but only certain games recognize it, and in my current Library that's 2. I've been hunting for a way to actually use the wheel and pedals like joysticks, or it's pretty much useless because I'm never going to have an Xbox, and the wheel does not appear unless it's set in PC mode after self cal.

    • @SingleRacerSVR
      @SingleRacerSVR  Před rokem +1

      Yes, that was the trouble with this video. I really only meant to show how it works, IF? it works with my Logitech G29. I didn't realize I'd be getting all the questions about when it doesn't work, and how to fix it. But I'm not smart enough about the software to know. If you have the patience, I believe there is a bit of (add on) software that you might be able to use to fix your issue, but it is unrelated to this software though. So you might have to search thru all the comments to find the reference to it, if you can be bothered too???

    Doesn't work with Cyberpunk 2077. Got my g29 programmed, launch the game and I have no input for driving.

      @SingleRacerSVR  Před 2 lety

      In the video LeeTV, I mention the older version - that you have to place directly IN the Cyberpunk 2077 directory to make it work. So maybe that might work for you?. It's still free, so give it a shot & good luck.

    Can someone please help me. When I launch the program, it takes several minutes for the picture of the xbox 360 controller to become "lit up". Before that I'm unable to even try to attempt to record input for my G923 steering wheel. After it finally becomes visible, I'm able to hit record, but it never actually detects the input from my steering wheel, even though it does recognize it as a "mapped device". I think it's just the entire program that is extremely laggy. Even when I attempt to exit the program, it takes several minutes to close. Or if I press any other button. Does anyone have any solutions for this?

      As far as I understand cloud gaming is just playing a game that runs games, so as it's a controller emulator the cloud gaming software would potentially just recognise it as a controller and work without any issues. I have no experience in this matter but understanding the way Windows works with devices I can't imagine why it wouldn't be fine.

      hi, i'm trying to do the same thing, from what i can tell the problem is that xboxgame pass ultimate (in my case) doesn't recognise xbox 360 controllers from what i know, i'm gonna try a different emulator and if i find a solution i'll write again

    so if i understand correctly, i can make every racing game compatible with the steering wheel? i have 2 logitech steering wheels (g29 and g923) and can put them on controller 1 and controller 2 in the software, right? So I can theoretically play any split-screen racing game with 2 steering wheels at the same time? I have yet to try it, but that would be a game changer because there are practically no games that support 2 wheels at the same time. I'll let you know if that works once I've tried it. That would be a dream! Thank you very much!

      Very interesting Jan, and as I don't have 2 wheels myself to test it - I would love to hear the results. (best of luck with it). I must be honest and say my gut feeling is whatever wheel you setup first will be the "dominant overriding" wheel that won't let you use the other - but I am definitely hoping I am wrong about that. Happy Racing ; )))

    Hello, is it possible to play controller & with the steering wheel at the same time? Because the steering wheel works on GTA5 but as soon as I leave the vehicle my controller is no longer detected.

    • @SingleRacerSVR
      @SingleRacerSVR  Před 2 lety

      I believe there is a way using software, WolfyStudio. But I personally have no clue how it's done. This is my most commented video, so if you have the spare time - you could check thru all the comments, as I think i remember someone saying how it was done - and that's why I'm pretty sure it can be done. Otherwise just think of the best way to put it in a sentence to Google it. But I'm almost certain you can get the result you want. (I'll PIN you comment to the top for now - as maybe someone else has the answer for you?)
