@@brennanbass4346 idk what year Tacoma you have but I had an 06 Tacoma with a custom enclosure I built and shallow mount DB drive 10s behind the seat. If yours is anything like mine was there is NOT much room back there. Take the flex of these woofers into consideration. Mine didn’t flex nearly as hard as this and when I pushed those DB drives good and hard I could hear them on the back of the rear seat. Do all your measurements. Make sure these will fit as they are a little bigger than your typical shallow mounts.
I have this sub I really like it. I originally had the ix 10 in the skar prefab that's carpeted and the ix 10 finely blew. I realized this vd 10 matched perfect with the prefab and it sounds good. It goes low and doesn't need much space. I'm thinking now about how many I can fit in my Corolla trunk

I have these, after a few attempts to find subs that actually handle rated power I landed in these.but as far as shallow goes they missed it these are deeper than kicker c10.
You sure? Specs say C10s are a lil deeper
I reconed two of the 12s with lord of bass parts i got out of the dumpster and they sounded great in sealed boxes. Shallow mount subs but still like the normal cubic feet of air space as the average 12 requires 1-1.25 cubes.

I have 2 skar 12's shallow mount in my f350 with a CT sound 2000.1 at 1ohm. For 87 bucks a speaker I can punish them and rock at the same time. If they blow they are a cheap replacement.

Mine just came but im at work gonna install tonight... because I have a power acoustik 10 inch 300-700watt reaper that is discontinued and is now starting to crap out on high volume was great though for 7 yrs running on a 500 watt fosgate with control knobe.🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉

@ineedbass1 installed same night yeah it sounds good going to break it in next two weeks. Most important it was the right depth but still beefy. The song I picked is MAC MALL " MY OPINION"

I have three and it hits 145db
I have the 12s same model they definitely can take more then the 4-500w RMS and sound perty good but there a couple things you should no about shallow subs the only space you save is on the depth and the down fall is you loose some xmax vs a standard size sub and you actually end up with a longer and taller box because of the air space needed is still the same as a standard size sub but your depth of box and sub is less being shallow so the box ends up being wider and taller Wich work for a truck just a fyi 👍👌✌️💯🎶🍻

The skar vd 10 d4 I had was ok sounded good for a slim mount but they don't use enough high temp glue on the voice coil and eventually it started sounding crunchy u could press down and hear that Dreaded noise so IDK Maybe I just got a Friday sub ..🤷
Luckily I havent had that problem yet! Lol but I had with my Ds18 select. 😂
ok so what amp were you pushing it with? what wattage? how was the sub wired? ohm load? zero info in this video apart from your test frequencies and that the speaker in fact works.
I had a skar rp2000 pushing it at 2ohms. It had a 800 watts max to this subwoofer. But I got it up to 1200 watts while testing it. Thanks for the questions! 👍

You'll get shallow bass, it won't be too crazy. But it'll be just right! Lol it thumps regardless! 💯👍
What kind of mic are you using? It would be super cool to be watching your tests and be able to follow the frequency response on my system (I went all the way to my car to watch this with my system hooked up but it would've definitely been a better review for my next upgrade) ((currently running a ported SA 15))

I need Bass, please help!!!! I'm too poor financially to make any errors!!!!! The lowest ohm load this amp can produce-by specs- is 4ohm at 800 watts. That's the maximum for the above speakers. I have 4 subs and the amplifier you instruct me to purchase. I need specific wiring and or diagram of parallel/sequence wiring for all four subwoofers using this single amplifier without destroying the subwoofers, and I'm a 40yrs old newbie who can't pay for help.

@@ineedbass1 anything is possible I got the RP 1200 rms amp. I tuned it with a multimeter first to 32v and also just tuned it from my ear to clipping then turned it down right below clipping. They sound good but I can tell u they don’t move like yours
@@ttwizted6020 I think I know what's really going on, I push all the subs on my channel passed their limits. So I can show people, they can handle more power. 🤣 I put every bit of 1200 watts through this subwoofer.
I’m pretty new to the whole audio thing but would you happen to know how this would do in comparison to a kicker CVR 12”?
I believe the kicker crv would probably be a better choice. And if I'm thinking about it, I don't think the kicker is a shallow mount. Shallow mounts won't give you the power of a normal subwoofer. But it'll be fine in a smaller vehicle, if you just want some bass. I believe the kicker would be more powerful between the two. 👍

Thanks for asking. It's a dual 2 ohm, 800 Watt Max. I was using my skar RP-2000.1D. Wired at 2 ohm. I put at least 1200 watts through it and held great! 👍
@@ineedbass1 u can't wire a dvc 2 ohm sub to 2 ohm it will be 4 or 1 ohm.
