This topic is really interesting, you have so many options because of the many generations. The Pokemon world is endless.
I mean you can be a Trainer, coordinator, gym leader, or take part on contests, or even being a criminal like Team Rocket so many options, I would definitely be a Trainer, but there are a lot of other interesting things too.
I would be from Kalos or Sinnoh tho. 😄

True. Seeing characters age is one of the benefits of an ongoing series. Especially those that last at least a decade or two. It really makes you feel like you’re growing up with these characters(like Andy from Toy Story)

That is a Outstanding and Incredible Story of how your Journey in the Pokemon Anime!
Oh yeah I kinda did something like this a while ago..well sort of. I made up my own entirely new fan character from scratch and gave her all the different pokemon teams she'd have in the different regions, as well as designed what her outfit would look like in each gen. I tried to make her a "Fear Master" basically meaning she uses pokemon that usually entice fear in people, and help show those people that there's nothing top be afraid of and the pokemon most likely just want to play and be friends. She typically specializes mostly in Ghost and Dark types obviously, but she also very frequently uses Bug, Steel, Fire, Electric, Fighting, and Dragon too......ok fine I'll admit it I just wanted to make Goth Girl Pokemon trainer, ok? I just wanted to give a bit more to it that just a one-note "deR sHe liKes ghOtS CuZ gOth"
any way, her starter is a Sableye, and sorry of this is OP but I feel like she would have two aces, her Shiny Charizard and an Aegislash that she has her own Battle Bond transform effect with.

When I saw this video, I was like, “What about me?” So here it is:
A child, me, born in Galar went to Unova but when reaching there, he met a weird figure by the name of Victini, during the journey, Victini and I became friends but once I was about to go back to galar, Victini followed me and we still get to be friends in Galar.
I became 10 and am ready to start my Pokémon journey but decided to start with Kanto first. Then Johto, Hoenn and Sinnoh but lost to all of the champions. But when reaching to Unova, I managed to become the Pokémon champion of Unova and continued my journey through Kalos, Alola (Hau/Kukui being the Champion) and Galar where I take on all of the champions and won the title of Pokémon Master, thanks to my first ever Pokémon, Victini.
I because the grandmaster champion and started a tournament that spans from Johto to Paldea. It's across every single reigon and I have yet to be defeated

For some reason I also had the question in my head of "What would happen if I was the main character or a character the existed in the anime" and boi I have a big one im writing .... (in my head-)

Honestly same. My journey would begin or rather continue (explaining what I mean by that would require too much explaining) when Sycamores Garchomp goes on a rampage and Ash tries to calm it down. My partner would be Riolu/Lucario and I would have a similar ability to harness the power of aura like Sir Aaron and to a lesser extent Ash. The story I have planned in my head spans from X and Y onward so getting to Sun the Moon series (which is where I personally would see myself having a lot of growth as a person) not to mention the somewhat brief trip I would take to Hoen between X and Y and Sun and Moon. It sounds like a cool idea for a fan fiction but it would probably take me years. Still it's something I've been thinking about quite a bit since I watched the entirety of Sun and Moon and then X and Y at the beginning of the year.

As I said, I've assembled multiple teams throughout the regions (Much like Ash does) The team I showcase in the video are made up of the best members of each region.

Also, if I were to have a Pokemon journey, it would be to specialize in Psychic and Ghost type Pokemon and eventually become a world-class Psychic/Ghost Master after traveling the world. (I would also possess subtle psychic senses as well, like the in-game Mediumship/psychic trainers/NPCs).
My home region would be Johto (my first ever Pokemon game for Christmas when I was 11 was Pokemon Crystal the year it came out) and instead of the usual Johto Starters, I'd start off with a specially bred Abra as a gift from Professor Elm, and nickname her Samadhi.
I would go the route of taking on the Silver League, while still learning and training psychic and ghost Pokemon. Get all 8 badges and end up maybe among the Final 16 (though the bottom of that group, as I'd only be around 11/12 and the other contenders would be older with more experience).
However, upon seeing my performance in the Championship arenas, Elite Member Will is intrigued at my connection with psychic pokemon and encourages me to travel to other regions to learn the crafts and skills of working with the mysterious psychic types, after accepting me as a "protege" of sorts of his. Travelling to other regions I would meet renowned Trainers and Masters such as Agatha of the Elite 4, Sabrina of Kanto and many others, learning from them.
Over the years I would eventually rise rank of an Ace Trainer, and then Elite Member of Silver League in the future, and even claim the title of Champion, though I eventually release the formal responsibilities to the previous Champion (without having lost my title in actual battle) in order to set up/start my own kind of sanctuary/enlightenment monastery that people from all over the world and their Pokemon can come to in order to meditate, relax, study the mysteries of life and reach enlightenment.
...of course, there will always be people who visit my monastery in order to challenge me as I would technically still be a Champion level trainer, and I suppose I would still participate in special world or regional tournaments, as well as educational programs for psychic and ghost type pokemon in particular...
But that's what I would do.
My ace would be Samadhi, who would be able to mega-evolve into mega-Alakazam. I would also have, in particular, Jynx, Chimeco, Swoobat, Espeon, Hypno, Slowbro, Delphox, Bronzong, Medicham, Gardevoir and Girafarig. The ghost types I would favor would be Gollurk, Gengar, Mismagius, Decidueye and Chandelure. Oh, and Mimikyu of course.

How I've known about Pokémon for a very long time, I really feel very inspired by this video.
This one was honestly very interesting to me I never expected to actually be as shocked as I was on this one.
The journey I honestly enjoyed as well as I feel it feels similar to how I would end up in most cases.
The Elite-4 and Champions are just another level and coming so close yet losing at the end although never losing faith in truly reaching the top.

I'd be a dragon-esque trainer with a Charizard, Dragonite, Umbreon, Lucario, Luxray & Blastoise.
Challenging leagues to test myself but mainly travelling the land, exploring, adventuring, trying to get Officer Jennys phone number..
