- Falsifying reports has become a tradition in various departments of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). Recently, Weinan city in Shaanxi province was exposed for faking agricultural irrigation facilities. They claimed to have invested in creating high-standard farmland, but it was found that the water outlets had no pipes underneath, just concrete blocks. There were neither wells nor pipes beneath the blocks. Villagers believe the unit made fake water pipes to falsely obtain government subsidies. Internet users sarcastically said it's truly shocking that technology has now advanced to the point of getting water without pipes.

To be fair, the US is suffering a MAJOR obesity epidemic. Even some of our soldiers are fat. Just google the numbers. That's not to say the US's military is bad (on the contrary), but we've got a major problem to resolve.

That happened exactly the same during covid in Vietnam. They pretended giving out foods for people during lock down and having a group of photographers taking photos and then took back the food for the next house

Same happened with ruzzia. They "sent" a medical aid to Italy (they suffered the most because of... certain immigrants). It was a huge @ss military supply plane, photographed and published over entire globe how virtuous and selfless they are to send a medical brigade and precious pallets of medical equipment. Those pallets consisted of grand total of 3 tents, bunch of garbage, most of it expired. The medical brigade consisted of 10 doctors, unqualified for the task, not knowing the language, several government officials (more than medics) and 20+ of journalists. Medics did not stay for long either. A complete insult to Italy yet they did not start decoupling way later during Ukraine's invasion.
During Covid outbreak, lakhs of food parcels went for free distribution in India for the labour stuck in other cities...this was a collaboration of Govt, NGOs and Temples etc. Municipal staff and several volunteers used to go for an hour and finish packing.
Lucky to participate and observe at close quarters, this is when whole India was at lockdown.
Similarly, ration with essentials supplied free of cost to poor households.
Big lesson for me on how collective efforts can move the mountains 🙂

I can vouch for that, they were rubbish when they went to Rwanda during the early 90s, they did bugger all there except have sex parties in their hotels, nearly all the 'caring' charities were the same , no matter what country they came from. Here in the UK, we do similar BS but not in the public services as they've been budget cut to the point of being invisible.
However, when a new supermarket store opened near me, every till was open while the company publicity photos were taken.
From that day since, I've had to queue for some time to pay for my purchases because only one or two tills are staffed. The majority of the checkouts now being unused.
