Nearly half of urban cities in China are sinking and 270 million people are in danger. 45% Chinese cities are sinking faster than 3 mm per year. While 16% of China's urban areas are sinking faster than 10 mm per year. The figures seem small but in 100 years, a quarter of China's coastal land will sit below sea level. This decline in elevation is increasing the risk of natural disasters and land collapse. Why is this happening? Mainly because China is sinking under the weight of infrastructure. Let it be noted that India's fertility rate is 2 OVERALL. And a lot of their states have a fertility rate less than 2. Many Indians have only 1 kid and a growing amount are child free! If India and Indians didn't take measures for this, the current population would be 2 Billion. And India is still trying to bring down the fertility rate in UP and Bihar. So that number will go down further.

I wondering how will the weight of buildings push the land down. Buildings r nothing but soil pushed into one place, which was pulled from another place. So overall weight should remain same.
That's what happens when you suck out excessive ground water. It's happened and happening in many countries. Nothing whatsoever to do with "sea level rise" because it happens in inland basins too.
And voila!!! When it floods sinkholes are everywhere.
America has the same exact issue! A few years ago one guy was sleeping in bedroom in Florida when suddenly his bed in which he was sleeping went straight in the collapsed ground and his body was never recovered. With Antarctica glaciers melted, the sea water is rising rapidly and its going to become a problem not just for USA or China but for the entire world.

I live by the ocean and the same high water marked by decades of water stain have not changed since I first noticed them as a child in the early 80's. So why is it the same level here but rising elsewhere? Smells like bull$hit to me about the sea rising.
The place you live in has probably not seen much urban construction, i.e., buildings and infrastructure, so has not sunk. You are blessed.
