You mention correct layering is all the difference when using non insulated breathable waders. Do you mind sharing your layering system you use with your non insulated waders?
Alway wear moisture wicking base layer that is a NON cotton material and the same goes for wader pants. NON cotton material and moisture wicking, I’ve hunted in weather in the single digits with strong north winds and didn get cold, it’s all about not retaining your body’s moisture

Nothing wrong with tidewe, it’s affordable and it works. A lot better than paying 400 dollars for some drakes just to get a leak after one season.
