@@SafarStories I left Srinagar on the 2nd of Oct (Gandhi Jayanti), that day there were too many BSF and Army was there.
The crowd was usual and happening.
You should be either fully vaccinated or RTPCR (negative) of 96hrs before.
For me prices were pretty decent as well, the rest depends on your negotiation skills.

Weather was good. No, you don't need any permit to travel as far as I know so far. Still you can check with J&K tourism department.

if you wants to see full snow.......then go to Rohtang pass.It is just 60 km from Manali. You will see 10-15 feet tall snow. You can go in June second week.
