- The NIJ team went on ground to Kashmir and talked to people at Lal Chowk.
The first one was Shabbi Rehman, a sarpanch from a village in Uri. He told how earlier, it was not possible to roam around at Lal Chowk freely. Especially had he told anyone that he was a sarpanch, he would have been shot in all probability. He also traces his personal history as a Kashmiri Indian and how things have changed in Kashmir post abrogation of article 370.
The second one was Abid Bhatt. He goes on to narrate the differences between the periods pre and post 370 abrogation. His outlook is now quite positive about life and he has hope that he can achieve whatever he wants.

I went to Kashmir thrice in the last two years and spoke to about 50-60 Muslim kashmiris and was stunned to hear them praising Modiji and Indian government for bringing in a change in the infrastructural development of Kashmir and making their lives hundred times better. We are thankful to God for giving us Modiji as our PM.

Good to hear about this change. Many of my friends had visited 10+ years ago and nearly everyone said locals were hostile to them in Kashmir. Hopefully, animosity is less now.

I visited Kashmir in 2013 ! Curfew and constant alerts , couldn't even visit Lal chowk ! Today it looks so peaceful ; will definitely visit it ! Kudos to GOI for removing 370 and bringing the glory

Went to kashmir in the year 2021 for honeymoon on the demand of my wife with so much fear in my heart .. But after reaching srinagar the scenario was completely different. Kashmiri people are so wonderful. There hospitality mehmaan nawazi is just awesome. Would love to go again and again to kashmir. They told us do u feel that any terrorism is here. Our politics and dirty media made our image bad in india what we are not. And thats true. Those 9 days of travelling to gulmarg, pehelgaon, sonmarg, were the best days of my life. Love u kashmir❤❤
