- Last year Kashmir had a population of one lakh forty thousand (1,40,000) Hindus. In the last 6 months, more than one lakh Hindus have fled their homes with just their clothes on their backs. Several pockets of Hindu population have become a ghost town.
There were numerous pressures that forced these Hindus to leave.
Children had no schools to go to, colleges had closed, weeks of curfew had converted homes into prisons often without electricity, water and food. But most of all, it was the tension of being a minority in an increasingly fanatical atmosphere where the very air they breathed was laid with violence and fear.
They had to leave secured jobs, sometimes of 20 years. Established business running for generations and even the properties and orchards for a blank certain future with marginal help from the government.
Why they asked, should we be refugees in our own country?

I m from Nepal and I feel terrible to see these things happening to Hindus in India which has 80 percent of Hindu population. If same thing would ever happen in Nepal, we would rather die than leaving our homes. We Hindus around the world should get united. Its not just hindus fighting back. We as a secular nation call kashmir as an integral part of the country. While we say that, we are completely showing a blind eye when the governments have mismanaged the situation over the years. Why should we let these provoked youth to raise slogans for independent kashmir? What is the administration doing? Why should the army handover the body of Burhan Wani to his family. That day there was a huge procession in the streets and people were throwing rocks at the police. Police should be given more rights in the state.. Any upraise should be strictly dealt with. Bodies of dead terrorists should be disposed off in unknown locations under military supervision. Local government should be micro management by central government... Take daily updates of events in the state... This is purely because of negligence by governments over the years and we have got ourselves into this situation because of corrupt bureaucracy.

I live in najafgarh which is situated between Delhi and haryana border. Here there is a colony of Kashmir pandits known as Kashmiri colony. They are the same people who came here after this incident. And belive me as we are haryanvis, we have so much aggression but these pandits are so humble and down to earth. Their colony is so peaceful and clean. They are living a healthy life here. And one of them is my best friend Rohinesh Sharma. Amazing person he is. When article 370 was abolished he was so happy with it.

So you're aware about the situation of Bengali Hindus in shilong more than North Easterners. In shilong, few Insurgent do operate in the jungles who see non Tribals as invaders of their tribal land. And non tribal includes anyone who's not indegenious of north east India. This includes both Christian, Muslims or Hindus. Btw this was the scenario of 90s. Today shilong is Majorily a literate State. And things are much better there. And me as Bengali Hindu from West Bengal who's many relatives lives in shilong , I suppose myself to answer this propaganda more than you. Btw What happened to tripura. Today's tripura is entirely a Bengali majority region that too Bangladeshi Bengali. Be it Hindu Bangladeshi but they're much different than us. Today indegenious tribes of tripura are minority. Huge influx of Bangladeshis are there in north east India and Majority of them happens to be Hindus. And btw meghalaya is now under BJP's rule and BJP themselves supported that this huge Population influx will be stopped. Their bodies were intact due to the cold and they appeared frozen in time, almost in a deep sleep, ready to get up after a good rest.
The commentator said that it appears that these people died about 500 years ago, and they had no dang clue how this happened.These were the frozen bodies of Kashmiri Pandits who were persecuted during the rule of Sikandar Butshikan 600 years ago.
