I gotta say, I watched your videos well over 8 years ago from Rhett&Link's GMM, recently been rediscovering you all and been binging your videos over the last month. From the very recent videos to this one so far, it's absolutely amazing how much you have improved, whether it is the format, the normals' cooking, the production or the dad jokes, kudos for the amazing channel Sorted Food team! I'm enjoying the jump through time!
I love the fact that the adjustable rolling pen is actually used in later episodes.
Barry was my favorite part of this video. His throwing the lunch flap on the ground like a bully. Him showing us how wavy and bumpy his rolled out dough usually is. And being excited about the small silicon pot steam cover thing

Watching Barry scrape the blade edge of the knife on the cutting board like that really set my teeth on edge
But seriously, the scrambled eggs comment hit me with relatability like a compartmentalised frying pan to the face.
That guacamole is actually a level down from mine. I suffer from hypo-acidity - stomach doesn't make enough acid - which means I can't normally digest certain raw foods, like onions. The solution I found was to pickle such things in vinegar by chopping them up finely and giving them an hour soak. By applying this method with rice wine vinegar, the mild zing clinging to the onion pairs with the tartness of the lime to really lift the entire dish. So there you go, better flavor discovered by catering to a stomach ailment. Cheers!
jamie stroking barry's cheek in reaction to his guacamole is basically me to anyone who ever gave me guacamole.
The batter thing can also be used as a fat separator. After roasting, for example, you pour all of the liquid from the pan in there. let it settle for a minute or two, and the fat goes to the bottom, so you can easily discard/save most of it, before adding the pan juices back in for lovely gravy/pan sauce.
You've kinda got that backwards. The fat goes to the top and you can let the good juices/stock out the bottom lol.

you guys should do a "cowboy caviar ", basically the same ingredients as guacamole, but leave the avocado diced and add corn, black beans, and lime juice....its delicious and completely more-ish!

I actually got the portioning jug a couple a years ago and I use it a lot! Perfect for when I make pancakes and cupcakes. I love it!

Yeah. The old weekly Fridgecam was always a special treat, rather than a staple meal. This new format doesn't have that excitement that you feel when a new episode is uploaded.

Guacamole shouldn’t contain oil or garlic. Just onions, tomatoes, cilantro & salt. & of course the avocado
