Soaring with the birds

- Today, I tried went out to try flying the DJI FPV with the motion controller for the first time.
I was lucky enough that we had Griffon Vultures circling our house.
These are huge vultures (2-3m wingspan!) that really didn't care about the drone, they just continued to enjoy the air currents as soar the skies - giving me a fantastic opportunity to fly with them.
as for the motion controller, for sure, the stick controller has more precision - but for this flight, it was wonderful - so natural to glide around with the birds, forgetting the controls - just flying :)

Gorgeous photography, and nice choice of audio track!
Such a nice track for this beautiful scenery here!! Very cool video!! 😃🐀
That’s so great flying with them.
Wow! Amazing.
Wow! This video is really amazing, a great upload : )
Wow. Impressive !
Cool to see (as stated on the DJI forum)
I subscribed to stay connected :)
This is one of the nicest 3D renderings I've ever seen ;) What a nice place to fly with the birds...
3d renders?
I was just joking. Otherwise there are some seconds this looks a bit artifical as perfect as it is...
@@illaarocc9469 LOL :)
I have to see the crisp footage does have a bit of 3D feel to it!
ha ha, yeah its really crisp ... its shot at 4k 60fps...
currently the dji fpv does not support shooting at 25/30fps which would make it a bit more 'cinematic'... I think/hope this will come in a later firmware. I need to experiment to see if dropping the fps in editing will help - I suspect not, as most recommend shooting in 30fps (not doing in post)
@@TheTechnobear I doubt if that will make all the difference.
You will need slower shutterspeed to accompany it.
The main reason for this 'feel' is probably a bit of watercolor effect the footage has.
As if it was rendered. (artificial)
I'm not 100% sure but I think you don't have much influence on this (unless you added some effect in post of course)
I've done the same thing with my fpv plane.
Come to the channel for a Hapax review, end-up watching birds. Thanks for the video
Great! The vultures have probably realized that this flying carcass has only energy left for a number of minutes. So why taking a risk when one just has to wait. Sounds like legitimate vulture logics.
Where was this video taken please? Africa, south maybe. Cape griffon vulture. Are you flying a drone or a paraglider?
Southern Spain... we have a pretty big colony of griffon vultures (and also various eagles and other birds of prey). Filmed with an fpv drone.
