    Another interesting video, Daniel. I'm surprised that it cleaned up that well. It definitely brightens the coin up. The toner makes the coin look more natural, but I agree with you that the people who try to scam their coins that they are selling will have a field day with these products to fool people into thinking their coins are undamaged coins. Thanks again, Daniel, for giving me a lot more to wonder about. Thanks for showing and sharing about these products and have a great day.

    Loved the video. I kinda wonder if this can be used on old damaged coins where there is so much gunk/corrosion so you can find/read the date and/or mint mark.

  • @TheWinstonDouble
    @TheWinstonDouble Před měsícem +2

    I'd really like to see this on an UNC. Just a common memorial would do. I'm wondering if it messes with the lustre at all. I mean wow, did that work fast or what? Seriously strong stuff. You actually have me kind of interested in trying it. I just use E-Zest for 100% nickel nickels because you can leave them in the stuff for a long time and all it does is remove the haze to resore them to original brilliance without any burned look like on over-dipped silver. The ones I do it to aren't worth more than a dollar anyways.
    Sometimes E-Zest isnt strong enough to get a particular spot. I wonder if that would do a better job. Maybe it'd be too strong and irradiate the lustre.
    Either way this was a cool video. I'd like to know if the tarnish-er takes time to kick in, like maybe you have to let it sit for a week. An update on that would be appreciated if you notice any change. It'd be good to know what the effect looks like so I know what to watch out for. Thanks for sharing!

    should have tried this with a regular worn 1960s cent, taped half of it with masking, then retaped a quater of it after the first clean, then try the same stuff on silver and clad.

    I wish you would have used gloves when applying the chemicals. Isn't there a warning that the chemicals will cause burns?

    • @CoinHELPu
      @CoinHELPu  Před měsícem

      No, but it’s very diluted, the chemical reaction is fast in the coins toning, but not on the skin. It’s less harmful than battery acid when changing a car battery.

    The problem with these is that they look “too good” to where you can tell they are cleaned. It had that pink look to it that penny’s have when you dip them in ezest.

    The cultural difference between the USA and the rest of the world. Americans don’t like cleaned coins but elsewhere, they don’t think twice about cleaning. Why is that? 🤷🤷‍♂️🤷

      Americans are "sucked in" to the rarity game.. thats y they invented 11 !!! mint states.. the grading companies created a market, that wasnt before... because the us had hoards of silver dollars that in MS and R 100 Years old and older.. they were so common they worth melt.. i dont think there's another country that had this situation..so many unc beaut coins that r proper antique. there is diff kind of cleaned of course. whizzed and polished(with metal brush which is not nice and effect eye appeal and there is modern chem clean.. basically if no one identify it as cleaned its not!! many dealers in the US dip coins.. its just need to be right amount of time, otherwise the luster will go off also and it will be a "dead coin".. i think because there is so many Americans, their need to be unique or have a unique item, is greater then in a country in Europe..

    I dont think there's any way to restore that good, rich original red tone to a copper cent once it's been cleaned. And maybe that's a good thing.
