Hi, just subscribed today, have watched 3 or 4 videos so far. Nice to see someone dealing in older cars instead of 10k 'bargains ' . Majority of motorists can't spend anything like that. Informative and honest content. Look forward to watching back catalogue and new stuff. Thanks
Thanks I appreciate the comment. Hope you enjoy!
Another good video nice to see it’s not always straightforward although a relative cheap fix 👍
Thanks Steve, glad you enjoyed it!
Looking forward to watching this one bro 👍🏼
Great video again keep them coming
Thanks for watching!
Hi there. This is the First video I’ve seen of yours, I see the BCA title, & it looks a lot like unless it is BCA Blackbushe?
I used to work there a few years back. I found the indemnity costs where expensive compared to other Auction houses.
Good informative video. I will go back to your first video & leave some comments etc. So you can see that I’ve watched & appreciate your content.
Shame the EML light wasn’t on when you bought it, as it would’ve reduced the buy price. Daniel.
Yes this was Blackbushe!
Appreciate the kind words, glad you are enjoying it!
I remember my mum had one of these, 2003 A140 Classic SE Manual, bought in like 2006 I think, got rid of it november 2020 and she got a 2016 A180 Sport but towards the end the A140 had a mountain of problems such as
1. Boot gas struts failed
2. Changed 1 suspension spring
3. Drivers window had to be pushed really hard to get back up
4. Stereo would sometimes cut out over bumps and cracks in the road
5. Drivers side front speaker would sometimes go off
6. 1 door would not lock
7. Casual rust in places
8. Rev counter lights started to die
9. 1 door handle would get stuck and not retract when you pulled it, had to push it back into place
10. All 4 plastic steel wheel covers gone
11. Sometimes it would leak in the back when it rained but that had been going on for years
(All of these things happened over time and was all still there when we got rid of it)
Had 115,000 miles at the end
Also wow that's a long list now that I think about it
Good idea to keep going for autos, they're so popular these days.
Variable transmission gearboxses can be a nightmare .i had a mercedes b class exactly same problem bumping into gear realy badly quoted five thousand pounds i for a new gearboxse had scrap it.buyer beware 😢.
Wow 5k!
I'm 5 seconds into the video as I type this... I bought an A class automatic, at auction, with gearbox issues recently, so am looking forward to this 🙂
Can you remember the codes that were thrown when the gearbox clunked?
I didn’t take a photo so can’t remember exactly sorry!
Autos at auction are so risky bud, they make very high prices and if there knacked your on a big loss, on a cheap small car a full clutch is like 60 quid.
Which machine do you use for diagnostic?
I have a snap on machine
Auctions turn the mil light off bud, happens to me all the time, I've seen the yard lads walking around with a scanner....
Yup make more money that way
Fantastic video bro keep them coming - really helpful ! Thank you for your reply on instagram much appreciated- wanted to ask when you drive them from auction do you use trade plates thanks bro
No problem, and yes I have trade plates.
Wow £2,000 for that and someone is willing to pay that, impressive..! They can have My finished Project 2009 Citroen C2 for £1,450 👍👍
Good luck with the sale
Auto Cars are still crazy prices
I wouldn’t pay more than £575 for that car. Great job though
Never liked them a class mercs
