Love your reactions. Excited for you both to watch the rest of the series.
❤️❤️❤️
14:08 well, the tear shows that Korra was standing at the very edge ever-so-briefly before stepping back and sitting down. This thankfully means that contemplating suicide does NOT count as “letting earthly attachments go,” that is, unlocking the last chakra and thus the Avatar State. Aang doesn’t appear until after Korra sits down, i.e. choosing not to jump. Korra mastered her power by deciding to keep on living.
You have to remember that this 1st season was meant to be the only season which makes sense why the loose ends are tied up so quickly in this season finale with Korra getting her and others bending back and Amon’s death. Psychic Bloodbending was way too OP of an ability introduced so early which makes all the more sense that this 1 season was meant to be the only season because I can’t imagine any other villain in the franchise as threatening as Amon except for maybe 2.
All facts!
nickelodeon’s many interventions really compromised how greater this show couldve been. like the romance that we all wanted that eventually happened couldve happened earlier and in more details!
I definitely think that Noatak/Amon actually knew what Tarlok was doing, grabbing the glove, he's a master bloodbender, he could feel the movements. And that is why he was teary-eyed accepting the decision made by Tarlok.
Thats a good point 😫😭
@@MeeshDeeReacts It isn't though. He cried in response to sentimentality.
Amon dying and Tarrlok committing suicide was so sad, their whole life was so tragic. Amon will still be my favourite character. He was so determined and trained so hard to become so powerful. I want to be that determined and focused in life.
Again, loved your reactions. 👏🏽 Aang’s appearance was so emotional and powerful 😊
Their life was so tragic, right?! 😭 and we loved Aang’s appearance - ugh nearly killed Dee! Lol ❤️
@@MeeshDeeReacts it was very tragic! And yes Dee’s reaction was perfect 😁🔥
Korra deserves more love!
them saying General Iroh should be the avatar didn't sit right with me. as much as I love Zuko, General Iroh is boring compare to Korra.
dee losing her mind when aang showed up is such a mood 😭 great reaction as always! excited for you guys to experience the rest of the series together ❤
Literally SUCH a mood 🥹😭 thanks for watching with us 🥰
villain or not that shit was sad asf and the crazy part is he knew tarlok was about to kill them
Tarlok knew that no matter where they went, they could never escape their father's ghost. He had to break the cycle.
He didn't know tho
@@vetarlittorf1807 amon was literally the strongest blood bender you dont think he felt tarlok ass moving ??
@@ednamodee No. Because bloodbending doesn't let you automatically feel movements.
The Tarrlok suicide jig made me drop my mouth the first time... I was like "ohhhhh, this is dark LOL" - SO not a kid's show lmao...
This was actually supposed to have just been the only season because Nick were so certain that NO ONE wanted to see a female avatar... *play clown music* Guess what.... it was a HIT! So they renewed for a second season... this is where it will start to get a bit choppy, but stick with it. Will be worth it 😊
I freaked in my seat the first time she went into the Avatar State... I think I may have shouted a little at 2 am at night that day 🤣
Hahah we are right there with you!! We loved every second of this S1 finale 🤩❤️🙏🏽
Honestly, Amon being the strongest blood bender kinda also makes him one the strongest waterbenders by proxy. Katara is of course, the better overall waterbender when it comes to the craft, but when it comes to bloodbending, no one has shown to be Amon’s equal. Hama may have founded the technique but Amon perfected it, especially after finding a way to take away someone’s bending entirely. Luckily nobody has to deal with it ever again thanks to Tarrlok.
Amon ain't even the strongest bloodbender Yakone has far better feats than him when he bloodbent everyone in the courtroom
@@madgodprinceBut Yakone can't take people's bending away. That's literally a feat exclusive to the Avatar, so I'd say that Amon is indeed the strongest bloodbender.
@@lalalalisa41 Yeah the ability to take away someone’s bending is a rare power said to be possessed only by the avatar but the method Amon uses to achieve that is never described to require any crazy amounts of power to perform compared to just regular bloodbending.
Lin getting her bending back is low-key the *real* climax of this episode.
"This ain't ATLA no more." For real, this should be Korra's "This ISN'T a kids' show."
I love Meesh's voice, Mesh is mother and Dee is daddy
😂😭❤️
Agreed.
😂😂
@@spazzout1k350 😂😂too much?
14:39. The 6 named Avatars before Aang are Roku (Fire), Kyoshi (Earth), Kuruk (Water), Yangchen (Air), Szeto (Fire), & Salai (Earth), while the exact number of Avatars before Salai remains unclear.
As of today we also have an Avatar Gun (Order unconfirmed) and Avatar Spoiler
Salai's era or what nation he is from is never confirmed where did you get the info from that they are from the earth kingdom?
Salai was an earth bending avatar but that's a female name. The avatar before Szeto had not been officially named yet.
Did you know that the temple where Korra gave Lins bending back was also the temple that started glowing when Aang went into the avatar state in the episode the southern air temple❤
u fr?
@@spazzout1k350 yeah i noticed it after I watched it for the first time
Iroh once said you do not control lightning but that you are lightning's humble guide pointing in the right direction, that's why he was able to release it at full power, and if u watch he is trying to point his fingers right at Amon 9:55
Tenzin is one of my favorites as well, he’s so underrated in the fandom!!
To sever someone’s ability to bend, only for that person to awaken an element they never bended before is a loophole only the Avatar can exploit.
🧠 exactly!!
also its a great way to get her airbending cuz only after she lost her bendings and faced her fear from the whole season, she finally learnt airbending
Did you guys have any theories as to what Korra was thinking of doing while staring off at that cliff? I think very briefly she was thinking about... restarting the Avatar cycle.
They discussed that after the reaction.
It was meant to signal that. Just like when Jett was " dying " Longshott was meant to give him a quick death instead of aiming at the door but it was too much for Nick
The camera focusing on the teardrop falling off the cliff confirmed that for me.
They talked about it, and my mind was blown! 🤣😂😮😯
@@araej9293 Yeah I got too excited and posted it before watching the whole thing!
I love the scene where Aang and the other Avatar's restore Korra's bending and she goes into the Avatar State
She restore her bending herself by going into the avatar state.. Past lives just provide wisdom for korra
@@jkingrowleraang gave her bending back
@@mymaynee5963 no he didn't it was she connected to avatar state and all other avatars gave her wisdom to get her bending back not aang
So good 🥹
@@mymaynee5963actually this is a common misconception. it was the avatar state itself that unlocked her chi. aang helped her unlock the avatar state. (This is is said in the chronicles btw)
When Legend of Korra first came out I hated her, but I was also only 16. After watching it again and understanding what the creators went through when in development I have learned to LOVE the series and especially her.
9:45 here’s the thing about electricitybending. Amon said, “thanks to technology, anyone can now hold the power of a chi-blocker in their hands,” and his goons used the zappy gloves to take over the stadium. The implication is that electric shock can temporarily turn off bending. So can Mako do the same with low-voltage Lightning guiding?
Yall gotta remember the show was supposed to have 1 season so yea it’s gonna feel rushed then people liked it so they allowed another one then they were like okay we’ll give you 2 more so really season 1,3, and 4 are the one ones that were planned out extensively
"I can airbend!"
*fights like a firebender*
She's a little confused but she got the spirit x)
That's why I love her so much tbh
We love her spunk!! 🔥
Uncle Iroh said, “we cld all learn something from the other bendings”
It works out. Direct. Precise. Attack. If she fought like a airbender i dnt think Amon wld have drown and then everything after cld have nvr happened😂
See y'all in S2 E7&8, then I'll be back to watch S3!
Season 2 isn't that bad. Not as good as the others, but not bad.
Haha! Dee was SO SHOOK at that whole ending! I honestly forgot Amon's scars were fake and I lost it at that scene. 😂 Such a good season. This might be my favorite season of LoK. Lots of GREAT moments after this but there's something extra special to me about this one.
My favorite characters are Lin, and Tenzin's kids.
I can't wait till you guys watch Season 3 and meet Zaheer. It's the best season!❤
Dee's reaction was priceless this episode really gave me chills
😁🫨❤️
Dee: "It's a terrible plan."
Me: "AGNI KAI"
The teardrop scene was actually meant to signify that Korra planned to jump off and kill herself in order to restart the avatar cycle - she felt hopeless and wanted to do what she could to make sure the world had their avatar... it's sad as hell lol 😭 (hence Aang talking about reaching your lowest point)
when Daddy Daniel Dae Kim speaks 17:59
Man! As always, fire reaction ladies! Meesh's face when the Avatars popped up behind Kora was priceless! I tried many times to watch this show but couldn't do it, but watching it with you guys has been a blast! Thank you!!!
Glad you can enjoy it with us!! That scene always hits hard! 🥹🔥
There's so much to say after watching LOK season 1, but what I really like about the show, which you already touched upon, is the aspect of mental health. ATLA, in my opinion, tackled mental health in a way that's more palatable to kids and they did a phenomenal job, but LOK, I feel ike, has been given more space to explore some darker sides (because of the target audience).
Can't wait for you to get to season 3 and 4 because that's where it gets really interesting and dark :)
11:19 lol it sounds like Tenzin’s in the crowd
Yes like you said at the end, this was only planned to have 1 season initially and as you pointed out Meesh it was like half the episodes of ATLA to do a full story. I really love the music in this series and it really gets me at the end especially when Aang shows up. What is great about LOK is the villains, Amon was such a compelling character with a cause that was understandable just taken to the extreme.
The chills when Aang appeared!!! I still get it even though I know it’s coming!
8:52 he choking on that Amon-flavored kool-aid
One thing to keep in mind is that in that moment when Korra is at the cliff, she probably realized that even if she jumped she could save herself with her air bending, which just led her to even further break down realizing that even though she wanted to end it all so the next avatar could be born, it wouldn’t be that easy.
I always felt that Tarlock had spent a lot of time reflecting on his and his brother’s actions while imprisoned. So as he’s observing them running away together, Tarlock recognises that they’re STILL following Yakone’s footsteps (retreating to start anew).. but it could lead to perpetuating the cycle of abuse they experienced. So the only way to break that pattern was to end them both on the boat.. it’s so tragic….
We can see through Tahno, Lin, the officers and even Korra how getting their bending away fucks them up, like Korra was really considering ending her life so a new avatar can be born. They all have their bending as a part of themselves so It's not that hard to think about why Tarlock would do what he did
Everyone is on such a redemptive villain kick, but there is an art to having a flawed protagonist learning to be their better self.
They say that ATLA is about a person learning to become the Avatar, and LOK is about an Avatar learning to become a person
We all miss our boy Aang and the team Gaang team ❤❤sokka toph zuko ❤❤😢but in 2025 there will be a movie about adult Gaang team I ll be waiting ❤❤❤❤
Yeah, the kiss at the end was rushed, but it makes sense since the show runners didn't know how many seasons they'd have. It does almost ruin the moment though. (Meesh literally just said this after I posted lol)
14:08 Well… kinda. I saw that as indicating her lowest point; jump off the cliff or stay. She chose to stay and then Aang appears.
12:16 this was an unexpected but awesome twist
14:20 lol good thing the drink wasn’t in your mouth already. Such an epic moment.
Loved this first book (aside from the love triangle). Loved your reaction.
EPIC finale for sure!! Thanks for watching along 🥹❤️
This show is so good and just keeps getting better!. Still don’t get why people hate on it so much🤦🏻♂️ then you ask them “what did you not like about the show?” And they say “well Katara is old and Aang is dead” 🤣🤣🤣
Korra, Asami, Tenzin and Lin are my faves ❤
You ladies never disappoint. I love all your reactions to this show. Keep up the good work! 👍🏼
Thank you so much!! 🥰🙏🏽
Dee showcasing a flurry of emotions towards the end😆
All THE EMOTIONS 🥹❤️
Some speculate that Korra looking over the precipice at 14:04 has felt so much responsibility of losing her bending that she contemplated suicide so the world can have the next avatar
Season 1 was great the last episode and Ang showing up was greatness
My order of my favorite LOK seasons
3,1,4,2
The finale! here we are!!!! By the way you titled this 1x11 by mistake 😅 it’s 1x12 …. I will post another comment after finishing the video haha

@@MeeshDeeReacts 🙂 🙏
Originally they wanted Asami to be a femme fatalle villain that was deliberately playing Mako. But the show creators changed their mind half-way through and rewrote her as a heroine. This led to the awkward love triangle backstory. The Mako/Kora romantic arc would have made more sense if Asami wasn't a good person.
That's such a good point. Mako and Korra would really feel different if Asami would have betrayed them🤔 But I'm also glad she didn't, since I love Asami, and I think Team Avatar should have an equal number of boys and girls🤷🏽♀️ If Team Avatar was only Korra, her boyfriend, and his brother, it would be weird 🤔 But if Asami could have gotten a redemption arc to get back on the good side, that would've been hella sick🤔😍
@@SchreibenMitOnisha If Asami wasn't in Team Avatar, I believe Jinora would have become the fourth member of Team Avatar, rounding out the girls.
She is the closest thing they have to a fifth member in later seasons. I guess that makes her like Suki.
That avatar theme music is pretty powerful stuff.
I believe Amon and Yakone has to be the most Powerful Villain in the Avatar… Being able to blood bend with and without the full moon and using his mind is crazy… To me he they should have made him the ultimate Villain like Ozai was was in ATLA… He and Tarlok side by side as the Final boss would have been so much better
Been enjoying your whole Avatar journey a lot! So thank you for sharing your experiences with us😊
Personally I enjoy both ATLA and TLOK for different reasons:
ATLA: the premise, overall writing, characters (and their growth), worldbuilding and setting, the lightheartedness, tonal balance between team Avatar members (even Appa and Momo).
TLOK: the philosophical and political themes, refreshing storytelling format (something new each season), more mature tone of the show, the antagonists, animation and lore.
P.S. the final scene between Tarrlok and Noatak always make me sad and shocking😢 yet storywise it's so fitting and excellently executed.
You broke it down perfectly! We agree ❤️ Thanks for your ongoing support 😭🙏🏻 The final scene is so intense.
Tarrlok made sure Amon would die happy and unaware of his impending doom. It's like a Of Mice and Men moment.
That's debatable, another theory is that Amon knew what Tarlok was about to do because he can sense his blood / movement, and Amon's tear indicates that he accepted that and let Tarlak do it
I've always interpreted it as the opposite - that Noatak was crying because he was fully aware of Tarrlok's every action from his blood-bending sense yet did nothing to stop him. He'd just been completely defeated, exposed, and outcast by the avatar. He's lost the city, his Equalists, and even his brother. At that moment, it's both brothers who realize they'd become their own version of their father - good intentions twisted in their own way and going down with the ship was the way they chose to atone.
@@Rhodair The scene doesn't support that at all. It literally shows him being enthusiastic and hopeful for a new and better life and never gives anything that indicates otherwise. His tear is also a response to sentimentality and nostalgia. Besides, there's no way he'd know what Tarrlok was doing. Bloodbenders can't sense movement.
@@parthlad8263 true, I also think so
@@vetarlittorf1807 He was looking hopeful seconds before Tarrlok responds with the glove on. At 12:20, Noatak has tears and they are not hopeful - he's frowning and looking down, broken. At 11:47, he mentions to Tarrlok "you're all I have left in the world." The reason he didn't stop Noatak was because that's when Tarrlok realized he'd lost his brother along the way too. In his eyes, he truly had nothing left. (Plus, he didn't exactly restore Noatak's waterbending and sure was messed up to take it from his brother in the first place. How long before Noatak started dictating their lives or began the power grab cycle anew somewhere else?)
I really love LoK, and while I'd agree S1 was a bit rushed, I'd still say it compares favorably with the first 12 episodes of ATLA (which I do enjoy just fine!). I'm glad your enjoying it so far, and look forward to your reactions to the rest of the series.
Perfect reaction video, good work :)
Wait for season 3 🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽
Hey Avatar Meesh and Avatar was. I hope you two day has been well "Happy Monday". This was a good finale for season 1. I knew Korra was gonna get her bending taking away because it had been Amon goal. Amon was a great villain. As well his and Tarrlok death the way it went down was shocking when I first watch the show.
But anyway I hope you two have a wonderful day. Stay safe, take care and stay amazing.
Such a good S1 finale!! Loved seeing Korra connect with Aang and get her bending back 🥹 thanks for watching along, Rob! ❤️🙏🏼
I heard asami was meant to be an antagonist but they loved her so much that they decided not to go that route. Not sure how true that is.
remember the creators were only green lit for a season at a time in regards to seasons 1 & 2 - hence why s2 seems like a retest in terms of character development but overall the story of Korra is deep and complete
Dee, you need to accept Mako and Korea’s love for each other
Thank god Dee didn't take that sip when Aang showed up akjdjdjsjs
Hahah I would’ve died 😂🙏🏽❤️ -D
Really loved this finale. I was luke warm in the show but these last few episodes really grabbed my attention. When I first watched it, I was hoping Korra would have lost her bending with the other elements and have had to relearn them in the other seasons. I didn't know this was meant to be one season at the time. Also, it would have been a repeat of The Last Airbender too and I wanted Korra so much to stand on it's own.
I totally forgot it was supposed to be one season, and that's why Makorra was rushed. I don't care for Mako either.
I never heard the self deletion theory. That's incredible.
The creators of The Legend Of Korra didn't originally intend to makenmore then 1 Season, but then they were essentially told by the network to make 3 more Seasons that would air in a little over 2 years because Season 1 was so popular. However, because the creators were rushed to make them the show wasn't as consistent in quality as Avatar The Last Airbender was, & by the end of Season 3 the network was tired of the series & didn't even air Season 4 on tv. I personally enjoyed every Season of this series (though I will admit Season 2 was the worst), but it's sad to hear how Nickelodeon's decisions held the series back.
Meesh & Dee Awesome Video/Episode Today!!🔥🐐🐐💎
Yesssss we love this can’t wait for y’all to get to season 3 and 4 ngl season 2 sucks but introduces a hilarious character so yeah also I love yalll btw #5 btw season 3 is Peak fiction I say better then Alta in alot of ways and also builds team avatar a lot better with some interesting stuff 😮💨btw when kota went to the cliff and told mako she didn’t love him because she didn’t want to hurt him as she was going to do suicide so the cycle could continue as she thought she was a failed avatar but when she broke down crying it was because she couldn’t do it and then when she got her bending back she then told mako she loved him as now she couldn’t hurt him by dying and could love him as she was alive
Finally made it to the finale and can’t wait to jump into the rest of the seasons with yall 🤩🙏🏼
Mako is the worst lol I'm so glad y'all see through the bs hahaha
Mako can be really annoying, but I can’t shake the feeling that he’s just a missed opportunity/wasn’t written as well as he could have been. Like when he’s not doing relationship related tasks he’s awesome. It’s whenever they use him for love triangle things where they just kind of do whatever will make the situation more ridiculous.
I don’t hate the love triangle aspect of the show, because they’re all figuring themselves out and in my opinion, the fact that they all remain friends, despite all the back and forth, really shows how mature they all are, because they’re all bigger than their “romances”. They are team avatar. I will admit though that sometimes they lay the drama on a little too thick.
All that aside, I think Korra has a lot of strong characters. I love Asami, Bolton, Tenzin and Lin.
Just kept throwing the moments at you with this finale, didn't they?
Tarrlok knew Noatak would do bad things again and he didn’t want that to happen, so yup he did what he had to do
I can’t wait for you guys to get thru season 2 and on to season 3. There are some interesting episodes in the season but overall I prefer the others. I don’t want to spoil anything but there’s something that season 2 did that kinda ruined the overall lore a little bit. At least for me.
I always assumed he did not know how to take away air bending. Who would he have been able to practice it on?
Mental Health? There will be tons of PTSD in this series.😂
It was more like her airbending chi wasnt unlocked yet so he couldnt take away something she never had
16:30 Dee almost sealed her fate to sleeping on the couch for the night😂
😂😂😂😂
😂
i love this show
my main issue with this series, is that, She learns responsibility, but then there is a reset, then learns again, and then reset again.. its like doing the same thing over and over again.. maybe cos they felt there is no room to personal growth or something, so they reset her, so she has again an character growth arc or something... that is what bothered me with this series, i mean the animation is good, the story's overall are good, the easter eggs and nostalgia stuff are well placed.. thus i dont have much to complain about, but their lack of understanding how human character development works, is painfully obvious. but overall a really good series.
The episode is marked 11 ladies.
Tezin was so good against amon you did
Not say that he blew him off rhe stage the could not avoid it
Yeah airbending is kinda op how do u dodge it 😭😭
@@user-uh2iq8rs5w l am not talking about Dodging it
I think so much Korra hate that is earned comes from the teen love triangle, and Mako being such an ass to Asami. People don't realize Asami was supposed to be a traitor originally. that and the short journey to build the relationship.
With that said, the show creators are brave to take the show to the dark side of trauma and hurt.
Yeah it was annoying Nickelodeon one gave them one season of korra and they did the same with season 2 and they renewed season 3 and 4 at the same time afterwards.
5:00 Korra or Asami? Heh

I can't wait to see all your faces by the end of this show hahaha a lot more is to come! Prepare for anything and everything lol. Though just so you know, most people (if not everyone) think s2 is the weakest of the 4 so keep that in mind going into s2. And it's partly bc s2 was like s1, as in Nickelodeon only gave the writers one more season so they had to write it the same way as s1 bc they didn't know that they would eventually get two more seasons after the second.
But don't worry bc season 3 and 4 were given by the network at the same time so there's more fluidity, which is partly why s3 is usually a fan favorite! although for me, nothing can ever dethrone s4, it's just fucking iconic.
Love you two

Bolin 💚 Looooooove him
One thing I really don’t like about Korra is the way they bend in this show… "Korra" I can Air Bend and then shoots air like a Fire bending lol and it… There’s no Bending style what so ever unlike ATLA… And btw General Iroh has to be the best Fire Bender in this show too bad we didn’t see more of him after… He’s so underrated
Well she's not an airbender
Yall miss titled ep 11 instead of 12
I'm genuinely surprised by the decision to greenlight only 12 episodes for the continuation of such a masterpiece like ATLA. Personally, I feel the 12-episode limit resulted in certain aspects of Book One feeling rushed, particularly the love triangle, Korra's journey in learning airbending, and her spiritual adventures. While I appreciated the detailed day-to-day portrayal of Korra in Republic City, expanding the episode count could have allowed for a deeper exploration of her struggles with airbending & spiritual connection. Am I the only one who felt the ending seemed somewhat forced? With the inclusion of aang, the other past avatars, & the swift resolution of Korra's bending. A more ambiguous ending, where Korra sets off to reconnect with the elements in the different nations, might made for an interesting conclusion for Book One. But thankfully that's not all we got, because more of that world is better-I don't care Charmin Ultra, less isn't more in this situation. XD
The characters of Korra do a good job of juxtaposing off of one another. Mako's serious demeanor and romantic entanglements contrast sharply with Bolin's carefree and loyal nature. Similarly, Lin and Tenzin offer a stark contrast in their approaches and philosophies. Even Korra and Astami display this dynamic: Korra's a bender while Asami's not, Asami's methodical while Korra's impetuous. But they all jell well with each-other. Though I was not a fan of the whole flipping flopping Mako was doing between Korra & Asami, he really needed to pick one & stop messing with the other.
Okay, I'm going to stop, because I feel like I could continue for a few more paragraphs. I've leave it with this. Loved the first book, I
I loved it. React to demon slayer please
I find it ridiculous that it was makeup as Amon seems like the type of person that would burn himself to sell his ideals
It is a shame that Nickelodeon treated this show so horribly
You guys should watch Dharr Mann that would be funny
