Do you really have to put it on so it puddles and floods on the floor like that and leave it? That amount of wetness can damage flooring and leak through to a lower level ceiling.
It's common practice to over-apply to ensure full coverage, then wipe off the excess liquid afterwards. Modern sprays don't stay wet for long and aren't likely to leak or pool anywhere to cause damage.
Are you for real? That's not going to leak through to downstairs. Leave some residue for the bugs to crawl in.
