- On this episode of Murphys Diesel, Join us for an adrenaline-fueled off-road adventure as we take on the rugged terrain of San Hollow State Park, Utah, with our massive off-road wrecker, Hellboy, a beastly 2016 Ram 5500 equipped with massive 58-inch Mickey Thompson Tires. Our journey kicks off with heart-pounding action as we push the limits, only to find ourselves in sticky situations, like getting our 75-ton rotator stuck in the unforgiving terrain. But that's just the beginning! We're here to compete, and compete we do. In the wrecker pull portion of the off-road games, we face off against other wreckers, overcoming challenges and clinching victory as we secure first place. Along the way, we encounter the legendary crew from Sparks Motors, the Diesel Brothers, and go head-to-head with their iconic Brodozer-a towering Ford lifted on 54-inch tires Mickey Thompson tires. It's a clash of titans as Hellboy, with its unmatched power and agility, takes on the competition. But the journey isn't without its hurdles. Hellboy faces multiple breakdowns, pushing us to our limits as we race against time to fix and revive Hellboy. Despite the challenges, we persevere, fueled by passion and determination. Amidst the excitement, we have the honor of meeting esteemed personalities like Rory Irish of Trailmator, Matt from Matt's Off-Road Recovery, and other renowned CZcamsrs who grace the event with their presence. Special mention goes to Alan of Yankum Ropes, the visionary behind this thrilling event, alongside Matt from Matt's Off-Road. Join us as we live and breathe the off-road lifestyle for 5 days, forging unforgettable memories and celebrating the camaraderie of the off-road community. I couldn’t stand watching the part where the diesel brothers took over the show. Fly the Blackhawk in, take every piece of crap you own and tear up the course. Then leave. Exactly why heavy D isn’t allowed to do certain jobs. No one wants to watch someone destroy everything around on a recovery that’s made to get the vehicle out of natures environment . Those boys have serious small D syndrome.
Two different types of trucks. One is meant to be heavy and pull stuff out, while the other is narrowed and meant to be lighter to do flips and tricks at Monster Jam.
This is definately more Hell Boys element where it would probably fail at Monster Jam and not recommend doing back flips, moon walks, running over or jumping cars. If anything else for the reason Rick mentioned of tearing up tires.
I love both trucks. Heck I love all the trucks that competed. I'm a motorhead junkie that has all kind of fuel flowing through my veins. From diesel monsters to full blown alcohol funny cars...I'm game.
@MURPHYSDIESEL I have to be completely honest with you, Wrecker Rick, when I saw that awesome War Machine holding up that BEAUTIFUL, GINORMOUS AMERICAN FLAG my eyes instantly filled with tears and I got real choked up! That was probably the most beautiful sight I saw throughout the entirety of the games! I didn't see anything in the rest of the wrecker games that struck me the way that did! I'm really glad that y'all were there this year, and if they do this again next year, I really do hope y'all go again!

Wonderful showmanship there with Heavy D... It's what makes an event awesome. You strategized and improvised when it went on the edge of going Western with the blown boot etc and still came out on top. Off road is no place for quitters. Hope to see what you can do there next year .

Then I realized how hard it is, very humbling! Now I do it because I see how many folks we positively influence! I had more fun at sand hollow talking to folks! I actually lose money by doing CZcams! I knew something wasn’t right with that much smoke and not no wheel speed on Matt’s live stream. Now I understand not enough air for the fuel with boot torn. After you fixed it it cleaned out after a second or two. Hell for what little testing it done great it was a good shakedown for HellBoy. Giver Hell boys

Out of the blue I got a shot of a red Ram 5500 in my You Tube feed ,it said MurpysDiesel I like large trucks . So I watched it . I saw a very large standard wrecker that was already on par with Matt's Off Road wrecker, maybe I should put a few bugs in his ears about the Off Road Games, so I did and I followed all his videos.I even left a comment about the VHS but time was awastin , so I left a message on his business phone, then I sent an email to Matts off road Then all the videos dried up for awhile and POOF out of no where the new and improved HELL BOY, then I read that he got his VHS and I knew He was going to win.
OH Golly Rick you really out shined all my expectations. Instead of hanging out at the winners circle , you made yourself and all your equipment available for service to the games community. You ARE a class act, don't lose that humility, God continues to bless you.

One thing that I enjoyed see is that all of had fun and give one another crap but it was done in fun and respect. From all the videos that I've seen of the off road games everyone showed respect for one another and it shows that you can Compete and have a competition.

I have watched The Off-Road Games from over 6 channels and I enjoyed yours the most. You taking the time to edit in perspectives later, from your garage, was a really nice touch. The War Machine is a really world-class rotator, I want to go find some recoveries you accomplish with it. I watched the tv series Highway Through Hell and I can appreciate that rig.

For more than a year, I’ve been watching a lot of the Heavy and Off-road recovery channels on CZcams. Including Matt’s Off-road, FanRats, Casey Ladelle, and Pepe’s Towing just to name a few. I was amazed just how well the wrecker did with being such a fresh build!!! Every wrecker there is awesome in its own way, amazing what you did in a very short time! I absolutely love the look of Hellboy also! I’m a Ram fan through and through! Makes my little 2015 2500 look pale! 😅 but you made the Mopar fans happy as hell!
