She wrote the song. When they presented it to John Legend for a possible collab, he accepted within a week. They then tweaked the song to accomodate the duet (other writers brought in). They filmed the official music video in California (yes, she was really in the middle of the lake) and there is a behind-the-scenes video of how they shot it.

She is amazing, her producers thought the song needed a male voice to it and she threw out John Legends name not thinking she would be able to get him and he did it, she was SO excited to do the song with him, you should check out their music video for this one, she wears a dress that had to be delivered in a box the size of a refrigerator! And she looks Gorgeous in it! For this one they did it for the Today Show which is typically out of New York, but because of Covid they couldn't go to the studio so they did the taping in their separate cities. It was pretty cool. Depending on what you want to hear next, for emphasis on her voice, check out anything from her stripped songs, Tears of Gold; Born Without A Heart; You Don't Even Know Me; Elon; Bad Dreams. For music videos and more produced Puppet; Hero; Tears of Gold; My Hearts Grave.
