The golden years of the Ottoman Empire come to life in a television series. The life of Suleiman the Magnificent is preparing to be a guest in your homes in all its glory. Get ready to experience the era with ambition, loves, wars and all the struggle.
Prince Solomon, with his closest man, Ibrahim Pargam Ibrahim receives the bad news in a hunt. His father Yavuz Sultan Selim Khan passed away. Prince Suleyman sets out for Istanbul without waiting. Prince Süleyman quickly reaches the capital. He attends the culus ceremony without waiting. His life changed in one day. He started his life as Sultan Süleyman.
Meanwhile, a galley loaded with slaves coming over the Black Sea is heading towards Istanbul. The hottest of the slaves is not yet aware that he is on a journey that will change his destiny. He is rebelling helplessly to return.
Sultan Süleyman wants to show what kind of sultan he is by the commands he gave on the first day of his sultanate. But not everyone will like these decisions. Sultan Süleyman does not hesitate to challenge all of Europe with the messages he sends.
Alex, despite all his rebellion, is brought to the Topkapi palace. His attitude attracted the attention of Valide Sultan from the first moment. But it won't be long before Alex learns the rules of the palace. He chooses a great target. Alex, Sultan Suleyman's first night on the way to attract his attention. Sultan Suleiman's wife Mahidevran just arrived from the palace of Manisa. He is looking forward to seeing his wife.
Ama Alex’in sarayın kurallarını öğrenmesi uzun sürmez. Kendisine büyük bir hedef seçer. Alex, Sultan Süleyman’ın karşısına çıktığı ilk gecede onun ilgisini çekmeyi başarır. Sultan Süleyman’ın eşi Mahidevran ise Manisa sarayından yeni gelmiş. Eşi ile görüşmeyi sabırsızlıkla beklemektedir.

I have watched the entire show twice and now I think Bayezid was the most worthy of all the brothers. Mehmet was a gentle soul. A scholar and beautiful person. Mustafa was a great warrior but was rebellious so much so that he tried to seek help from Venetians. Selim was a drunkard but was submissive that worked in his favour. Bayezid lost because of him own short temper otherwise he was the best.

Btw I wanted to note that I noticed the rooms are left unguarded when a sultana is away, how can they leave the apartment unguarded I don't understand. You clearly see for example hurrem sultana going to her room (there's no one around) then the two servants / followers open the door and just stand there. So the room was unguarded.
Not to mention the door they show from the outside is different than the door they show inside. It seems that the directors created the rooms pretty close to each other, because if you watch kosem sultanas show, around 10-11th episode, outside safiye sultanas room it looks like next suleimans /Ahmed's room from another perspective. The stone stairs outside left part of harem which lead to the second floor are also fake. The right side of harem is just the entrance to the studio of harem xD
The balcony they use is outside suleimans room too haha

History Comment: Hurichihan is a fictional character. Because in 2007 with research completed by Dr. Ebru Turan, it was definitely proven that Ibrahim and Hatice were never married, and they obviously never had a daughter or son together. Therefore, all the plots involving Hurichihan are fictional as well. She simply did not exist in real life. The show’s relationship between Ibrahim and Hatice is the number one most fictional influence in the series. And Hatice’s real daughter is buried in Hurrem’s mausoleum.
