    I just wanted to drop you a line to thank you for your tutorials. I got a MPC Live II for Christmas. It arrived about a month ago and has been sitting unused on my desk because it was a pretty intimidating piece of gear. My studio workflow is pretty primitive. I use Master Tracks Pro (for Windows 95) as my MIDI sequencer on my studio PC because it's the closest software I have to Master Tracks Pro on the Atari ST (which was my studio computer until about a decade ago). My workflow hasn't changed much since the 80s. Your tutorials made the MPC very accessible to this old timer and a couple of days ago I made my first song on it. I've only scratched the surface of the machine's capabilities but I would not be surprised if I end up replacing my studio PC with the MPC Live II. So thanks for the tutorials! They were very helpful.

    Great vid! worth noting that Auto Sampler doesn't always play well with Kontakt instruments and you'll find it only samples the 1st millisecond - you have to go into settings within Kontakt and uncheck "accept all notes" and you should be good to go.

    Excellent work!!! One can create an endless arsenal of sounds and instruments to rival the competitor devices without the CPU load. The ability to make a mono-synth sound poly with this technique is just amazing. Obviously, you have to be aware of mono1 Mono2 and poly settings in each patch but it's very effective. As always enjoyed the video!!!!! Oh BTW I sent a question to Loopop for his Machine + review to show us how to midi map the MPC one, live/live 2 touch screen to edit midi notes and velocity curves on the Machine + since it doesn't have a touch screen 😉👍🏾we will see what comes back🤪😂😂😂😂😂😂😭🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣⚰️

  • @dugnice
    @dugnice Před 3 lety +5

    MPC Beats truly offers tremendous value as a music production tool. In contrast, ImageLine offers this feature to FL Studio users for an additional $99 (for the full version of DirectWave) on top of the $199 it costs for the "Producer" (full) version of the DAW. Akai offers it for free with MPC Beats.
    That said, I haven't performed a direct comparison between Akai's Auto Sampler and ImageLine's DirectWave to know if one offers superior results than the other. If Akai can get the piano roll on par with FL Studio's, the MPC software might become my new favorite DAW.

    Thats dope ❤
    I just buy one 1 week ago, i even try to make a single cycle wav sampled via a snare and turn it into an instrument, this gear is magic!
    I would like for the new firmware update 2 or more modulation enveloppes and 2 or more LFO that can be use to any destination you want then a mod matrix, this way it will be realy like using a type of omnisphere 2 hardware using multisamples and omnisphere 2 doesn't allow you to make multi samples only one shot. Maybe you can get in touch with Akai technique or dev for thoses features!
    I think they can even add more than 2 lfo and 2 enveloppe but even only 2 of this will make huge differency in sound design.

    The Hardware legalities are a little less restrictive, but the gist of it is , you have to make your own patches, selling sampled presets might get you in trouble. But your own patches? Go nuts. The same likely applies with your own patches from VST *synths*. However VST ROMplers are off limits. You cant autosample a Kontakt library and expect anything other than lawyer hell. Also. be careful about Trademarks, one has to be very careful about that (Ask a lawyer for the details). I *highly* doubt anyone would come after you if you just used it for your own tracks though. That would be ridiculous (and a judge would think so too)
