- Dale and Dee's former son-in-law, Brian Bush, testified as the first witness on Wednesday. He performed odd jobs on the Warner farm and said his relationship with Dee depended on the day and said he was close with Dale.
Bush also said he purchased a tracker at Dale's request that was eventually found on a Hummer that Dee drove.

Dee had an extremely successful trucking company. She continually gave Dale money to bail him out because he was hemorrhaging money out of his business. This is a money motivated murder. Dale killed her because he wanted to take control of her assets. Which he did immediately and illegally after she disappeared. He forged her signature on many of the documents and even uploaded a copy of her identification.
Dale was the one that couldn't run a business.
