Glad you guys did break down of the old engine to find issue I have a kutani red pearl stealth with 75k has same issue with its engine right now. Sounds exactly like the old engine in this one did
Hey! I have a 92 3000GT VR-4 with those same wheels! I believe they are the Mitsubishi mr272160, and they were for the 97-99 model years. The last year for the stealth was 96, they wouldn't have come as an option from the dealer for either of them. I don't know if they were really rare at any time, but I have only seen 3 different cars rocking them throughout all of my research.
Great looking car! I know guys said this is the last stealth video, but can we get some driving videos? I would love to hear this thing shredding up the streets.
Well definitely try to get another video of it ripping up and down the street a few times before we sell it. Hopefully in the next week or 2. Thanks for watching Tyler!
You guys did a really good job. You might want to check out the video of someone who put a Mopar 440, I kid you not, in a early generation Stealth....it sounded awesome...like the toughest kid on the block. Personally, I have a black '91 Stealth TT that I bought about 8 years ago and immediately had it's engine rebuilt and the body repainted its original black. I'm about to get the timing belt and water pump replaced and the car painted "Mystic Blue". Correct me if I'm wrong but is your car color "Mystic Blue"? Once again, great job.
Congrats @bacarrs on this accomplishment. Great to see another one of these beautiful cars back out in the road as a driver! You did a great job. Looking forward to the next build!
Looks great. Biggest remaining issue is the seat. You could sew the seat back together. The cover is held together with hog rings. Just remove them and get a heavy duty thread and hand sew it through the original holes. Usually the thread breaks down before the material. It would not be that hard to fix.
Thanks for the comment fairbornCCF. That is something we may look into. We have replaced seat covers before with the hog rings. Would be nice if we could find a replacement cover. Thanks for watching.
