I couldn’t agree more. In the mini-doc they posted Asami mentions how the room just perked up when Fami entered. If you haven’t seen it I recommend it.
This is my favorite Lovebites song by a lot. The video is a big part of the reason it is, just seeing them more relaxed is so nice too see.

I was just watching the BluRay of Awaken Again. Everyone sang in that except for Haruna who was behind one of those Plexiglas sound walls. It is a nice video to see Miho on. She was very good, a lot of metal bands would love to have a bassist that good but she isn't as versatile as Fami. My favorite bit in the same video is Miyako playing the keyboard with her left hand and her guitar frets with her right. She is a bit terrifying. Wave agrees she knows her way around a drum kit.
If we think of the same scene in "Burden Of Time", Miyako played the keyboard with her right hand, and the guitar frets with her left hand, while harmonizing with Midori at the guitar. She also sung background vocals, but that was another moment. Next, she will play the "foot" part of the drums as well?
A more organic Lovebites video! Makes me love the band even more. Fami’s got all those older “sisters” who’ll all take her under their wings. Freakin’ wonderful!!

If you want to see exactly why they picked FAMI to replace MIHO, get your hands on the full Golden Destination Fami audition. She killed it!!!!!! They were all smiling. Asami was clapping and cheering for her out of sheer joy! Haruna was smiling. Midori was excited. Yes, even Miyako was smiling. That young lady earned that spot the hard way. Great tone, no mistakes, good technique and great stage presence! All in front of the band, the staff, the exects, the camera crew and in a huge rehearsal hall. Talk about pressure! Yep, I don't care who you were rooting for, there's no denying that Fami murdered that audition! The VOD came with my CD order.
The full length documentary, 30 minutes, and four complete live audition songs with Fami, Hammer of Wrath, Shadowmaker, Golden Destination and the complete Bravehearted. Also, at the end of the full documentary, they give their full reason for picking Fami. What's in the shorter documentary is just one out of half a dozen reasons given by all the members. Go buy it. They deserve the support.
I agree, I got the deluxe edition as well. Her energy is just overflowing, can't wait to see and hear more as things roll forward for the band!

Thanks Ryan. I absolutely love this song! This became an instant favourite of theirs the moment I heard it. Asami's voice in this is incredible! This is just old fashioned rip your face off hard rock!

After having put out 50+ songs over five years w/o a bad one in the mix, LB had to be feeling the heat to come out with an outstanding fourth album. Now with near universal consensus that the album "Judgment Day" ranks at or near the top of their output, there can be no doubt of what this band can do after a hiatus, departure-replacement, and changes in personal lives. Fourth single and second MV released, and fans are going nuts. Hell yeah, this'll be a great year for the Wolfpack!

They have plenty of non-power metal songs lol. That's always been the case with Lovebites.

It seems to me that LOVEBITES delivered a song that 'some' Maidiacs were looking for from their favorite band [a rocker] and Band-Maid delivered a song 'some' Wolf-Pack were looking for from their favorite band [a ballad]. *
Nevertheless, both bands "delivered" AWESOME songs of completely different styles that are both 'a bit different' for each of them.
"Memorable" is exactly that, and brought tears [of-emotion] to my eyes, a first for me with Band Maid (where I am a novice) and "Stand And Deliver" has also brought tears [of-joy] with every listen (of which there have been numerous).
Thanks for letting us see your enthusiasm for LOVEBITES 'on the rise' ...

Memorable is maybe the most beautiful song I have ever heard. This song is the best punch in the face I’ve ever had. 😂
This is a brutal and solid track...a lot of good old classic metal low distortion with bright mid's/highs. I agree, Fami's got a little Lemmy action coming through, hell YES! The twin guitar attack feels a bit Priesty and Maiden, Haruna holds complete dominion over the tempo and beat...then there's Asami's vocals...need we say more!?!?
Ryan, Can't believe I missed this reaction. This song is awesome with the gang vocals, switching up instruments and watching them having a blast.
I have heard Miyako play drums before and she is definitely good, but Haruna doesn't have to worry. I think they are all multi-instrumentalists.
Midori comes in with the Steve Vai vibe and Miyako takes us out proving she is the queen of the wah.
Fami is a perfect fit. She has the talent and brings her youthful enthusiasm. The only thing Lovebites can do is a cover of Alien Alien as a band. That might be fun.
Amazing song by amazing band
Your reactions to this album appear to be blowing you away. You are not alone. This is their best music video, period. The song is the perfect modernized 80's metal/hard rock blend. Miyako's speed is so noticeable compared to before hiatus. Asami's voice is much more powerful and much more metal than before hiatus. Midori is noticeably faster than before hiatus, and that's a surprise because she's been a shredder since Day 1. Haruna's cymbal/china work coming out of hiatus is honestly the best I have ever heard, period. Not that they needed it, but Fami has brought a breath of fresh air to the band, and a challenge to the rest of the members because she is unreal on the bass, and she's only 20. What the hell is her ceiling?
I loved Miho. But I have to be honest, I think Fami is a bit better, she's got that something extra you can't describe. She so dam good to be that young. Shes also an excellent guitarist and pianist, vocalist and composer. She was the best pick to join without a doubt. I wouldn't be surprised if She did actually play the guitar to in this. Imagine how good she will be after a few years in Lovebites, holy crap. I think Miyako can play anything honestly. Asami's vocal's have definitely gotten a lot better, plus her English pronunciation has really improved.
Miyako strikes me as one of those kinds of people who can pick up anything and figure it out if they need to. Like Brian Jones (Stones), John Paul Jones (Led Zeppelin) or Stevie Wonder.
Fami can play the quitar. I recently saw a video on her channel.

I love this "behind the scenes" look, but I also love their stage personae. Very few artists can pull off something that theatrical without overdoing it. The whole album is fire.
This is the gateway drug to Lovebites. What an epic track!

Glad to see you reacting to this killer track, the waiting was worth, I was sure you would love it. This one for me has become a classic from the first listen. All the classic thrashiness but with their fresh groove and also a bit of power metal in the chorus, they have done it again. Great recipe 🤘🏼

I love the way Fami looks as pleased as punch to be in the same room as the Lovebites lady's. I do feel sorry that my choice from the auditions didn't make it and one of the most popular lady's from the auditions was through to the last round up against Fami, from my interpretation of the audition video that Lovebites released. Apparently there is a longer version of that video. Anyway, Fami won and she certainly fits the bill.
You may already know that Fami has her own CZcams channel? A popular cover she performed is of the song Alien Alien. I don't know the song and it is rather strange. Great Reaction Ryan. This isn't as much removed from Lovebites general sound as you may think. You've been guided to mostly their Heavier songs by your Reactees. But OMG - Asami hitting that Amazing G5 Note so effortlessly 4x on each chorus. She has worked hard to improve 'perfection'. And Miyako - talk about upping your Game!!

actually not too different from LB, there is a song called Burden Of Time from the first album. Which I think has the same feel and has harmonized vocals. There are several LB songs that are different from the usual, such as: Burden Of Time, Raise Some Hell, Dancing With The Devil, Inspire.
The difference is these songs don't have a Music Video.

That’s the most animated I’ve seen you react to Lovebites. This release is a blast. Asami’s vocals are grittier…coincidentally, since she gave birth. Hormonal? Who cares, her range now is almost beyond human hearing…😂 great reaction.
Reminded me of the way Nemophila do their 'in studio/rehearsal' type videos with Mayu up front dancing and grooving. In fact the thrashiness of the song made me think 'Nemophila?' right at the outset. Less 'Epic and Grand', more earthy. But what a great song from them. Those solos, Miyako is extraordinary!
This whole new album is a metal masterpiece, a statement. And this is, imo, not even my favorite song on it.
Wait for the insanity that "Soldier stands solitarily" is, or the sheer beauty of "My Orion" and "The spirit lives on".

Great reaction Ryan. The whole album is stellar. I was listening to Electric Pentagram today and i think Judgment Day is far superior as a whole. The last album had some great tunes but this one is a notch above. More goofy Lovebites would be welcome too. Oh and Asami kills it on this album. Will you do a track by track reaction like you did with Nemophila?

Miyako can plays drums and Fami can play guitar. I doubt Haruna can play bass or that Asami can play guitar, but I'm not sure about Midori's vocals. I wouldn't be surprised if she's a decent singer. Love the song, love the video. I wonder how it'll sound live.

It's a cool track, but I there are several even better songs on the album in my opinion such as Soldier Stands Solitarily, Wicked Witch, We Are The Resurrection and Dissonance.
Judgement Day is a fantastic album and a huge success. It's dominating metal charts in the UK, US, Germany, Japan and many other countries and reviews are extremely positive as well. What a comeback.

@@RyanMear I mean, most of their songs are very accessible and rather short. Those are two aspects I would call commercial. I'm not saying that they are badly composed or anything and it's definitely a lot more sophisticated than your average pop song. But I think Band-Maid appeal to a wider audience in a way that a band like Lovebites for example does not. Which is fine, of course, but I think I would like them more if they were a bit more ... edgy? I'm also not as fond of the pop elements in their music. You don't have to agree, in fact I know that you won't, but that's my honest opinion and I'm entitled to it. I'm sorry. I can gladly elaborate on the Discord, but I have kinda done so already in the past.
@Eyeosphere00 I don't mind Band-Maid. I've even seen them live once and they put on a fun show. But I just don't get the obsession with them. They are a good band, but for me they are just that: a good band among many other good bands. And they don't really excite me at this point. Still really appreciate what Ryan's doing.
You just have a way of throwing out a vague description without explaining what you actually mean. Short surely doesn't equal commercial. I feel they have a knack for disguising ridiculous skill as "accessible pop". Either way, Lovebites already has a wider audience, showing that they appeal to more of the masses with a style that is more common. They just do it better than most.
I think they are worried about nemophila taking their throne and copying them with the chanting and casual clothes. I think their music was getting stale. This is a pleasant change.
Lol what? This is not the first time they are wearing casual clothes and they have had songs with backing/gang vocals before as well. Also those things are hardly something Nemophila invented lol. Also I doubt that they would have to worry about Nemophila, considering their new album has dominated metal charts in several countries, including Germany, Japan, the US and the UK. Nemophila haven't come even close to that level of success.
Song is ok, Intro n verse is good and get me going, but pre n chorus is recycled Helloween, bummer! Judgment Day is far superior !
