It's that time of the year again! I have finally completed the look back video at the year that is just coming to an end, 2016.
Musically, 2016 was dominated by tropical house, dancehall, trap. Drake, Bieber and oddly enough The Chainsmokers were inescapable. We had a lot of blockbuster superhero movies (again), including two about heroes facing off against each other. Hollywood continued to milk... I mean revive old franchices (Harry Potter, Ghostbusters, Independence Day, Zoolander, you name it). First virtual reality headsets were commercially released, people went crazy over Overwatch and Pokemon Go (for a while). Also a lot of bad things have happened in the world. So let's look back at this year once again, remember its best and worst moments. I present to you, the year 2016!

Trivia:
- Because of some technical issues and sudden death of George Michael I had to render the video four times and this is the fourth version (actually if you're curious, the third version is here: • Video )
- 2016 had an astonishing small amount of big video game releases, at least compared to my previous video, 2008. I had to use a lot of indie games in this one.
- Because 2016 is infamous for a horrific amount of celebrity deaths I made an exception from my usual rule not to include any deaths. Before George Michael died and unfortunately joined the part near the end of the video, his place was taken by George Marshall so I think I need to at least mention him. Also I would have included the death of Carrie Fisher if she didn't die after I published the final version of the video, in the last few days of 2016.
- Originally the video was supposed to open with intro from "Work From Home" by Fifth Harmony and end with the outro from "Ride" by Twenty One Pilots.
- Just like with 2008, there was plenty of songs that didn't make the final cut, including Million Reasons by Lady Gaga, Love On The Brain by Rihanna, Water Under The Bridge by Adele, Mercy by Shawn Mendes (these are likely to take off in 2017), All Night by Beyonce, Sing Me To Sleep by Alan Walker, The Ocean by Mike Perry, Cruel by Snakehips ft. Zayn, 1 Night by Lil Yachty, Bang Bang by Green Day, Make Me Like You by Gwen Stefani, You & Me by Marc E Bassy ft. G-Eazy, Greenlight by Pitbull... But I still feel like I've cut less than with 2008.

2016 was THE year. It had a lot of importance to it, I had my first love, it really turned my life upside down. The future looked bright, it felt like everything was possible, and things were easy to achieve. Its crazy cause I rememeber 2016 just like some moments ago, now people are already nostalgic about 2016, but I really understand why. I am glad my generation got to experience 2016, it was wonderful man. It was meaningful. It was enjoyable.
2014 and 2015 were the shit some of the best memories 2016 in terms of small things sucked pure ass but in terms of massive things it was pretty good I started a new hobby that I sitll do today and I moved away from a place that had a dark dark future ahead of it if I had not moved

2017 was a horrible year. It's currently 2054. CZcams was shut down. World War III broke out. An earthquake destroyed California. The Great Wall of China was Bombed. So 2017 was a lot worse

Me playing watch dogs 2, was everything to me after getting out of school in the 6th grade, came back to the game recently and tried to find one of the songs to it, "Calling card" under the Electronica tab on the dedsec phone, some many memories, it was the best year I ever had, things like Sister Location, CZcamsrs having colored hair, indie games, just so much that year for me personally.. Omg... This was one of the best year in my entire life. I'm just about to be 13 so yeah. These were good times. It was happy times. The nostalgia, the memories... This video made me realize I wasn't really happy with 2020 and 2021, thank you for that. You earned a sub. These past two years have been disastrous and horrible. I miss my friends, I miss going to the theaters, I miss going to the mall, I even miss school. Not online classes.

I remember 2016 like it was yesterday.. where has the time gone! Back in 2016 I was a teenager, and I was 18 for the first half for the year and by august and afterwards I was 19 for the rest of the year.

I didn't realize how good 2016 was, 2nd year in college, I was into metal songs at that time, plenty of great movies released that year and everytime after my lecture ends, my friends and I always hanging out at the mall.

If I'm going to be honest, I thought that 2016 was a solid fun year. Not everything about it was perfect, especially for me. I had so many bad memories with my parents, having battles with my past teachers/friends I used to hangout, losing big celebs, having terrible movies, and so on. But it did not stop me from having fun. Despite the negatives, I had positive memories too. I still miss it though to this day.

Hey everyone, as I'm a Loud House, artist, video games, and animation superfan, clip from the episode "The Sweet Spot" from Season 1 is at 7:39. That's also the year, I got into the popular Nickelodeon (Nicktoon) animated series, "The Loud House", and it's still running to this day today. The show is currently in it's 5th season, and it will soon be in it's 6th season soon this year in 2022.

I'll always prefer to remember 2016 as the year my Chicago Cubbies won the World Series again finally. :D At least it's a far happier memory than what happened days/weeks later in the nation. I do remember watching the last game of the WS with my husband and brother-in-law, both of whom are normally Chicago White Sox fans, and we all cheered with joy when the Cubs made it official.
