    Do you know how to get rid of lice off of head boards that have cloth.

    • @myliceadvice4403
      @myliceadvice4403  Před 2 lety

      Hi Shelley. Is the head board wood or a cloth head board? For wood head boards yes, you can wipe it down with a wet cloth or a sani-cloth of any kind. It won't kill the lice when you wipe them onto your cloth, but it'll trap them onto the cloth and you can rinse them down the sink or toss them in the garbage.
      If you have a cloth head board then your best bet is a sticky lint roller. Lint roll the head board and that'll get any lice that may be on there.
      Don't be surprised if you don't find any lice when you clean the head board. Lice really just stick to the hair of the head. The #1 thing to focus on is getting rid of lice on the hair. That includes killing all of the lice and all of the lice eggs also known as nits. If you want some help with that then check out my step-by-step video system myliceadvice.com/how-to-get-rid-of-lice-like-a-pro/

    Yeah but the argument that peaple make about bagging clothes for 10 days is that eggs die within a week if they're not in the conditions created by the scalp. So I would guess that if you bag your clothes for only 48 hours, it could happen that an egg can attach to your body again ( while putting the clothes back on ) before dying to then find the perfect conditions to hatch, and then you're back to square one. Am I mistaken somewhere in my reasoning?

    What about body lice…..any different advice?

    • @myliceadvice4403
      @myliceadvice4403  Před 5 měsíci

      The treatment for the house for body lice is very similar to head lice. For body lice you need to put all of your dirty linens and clothing through the dryer as well as vacuum well.
      Something to consider is that body lice is very rare in most countries, it's almost extinct in developed countries. If you live in a developed country and you find bugs crawling on your skin it's much more likely that you're dealing with bed bugs or scabies. The treatment for bed bugs vs scabies vs body lice is all different. I'd say bed bugs is the hardest to get rid of, and usually requires and exterminator who specializes in bed bugs. Hope this helps!
