I'm sorry she is going through that. It could be that or she might have an allergic reaction to her shampoo or another hair product.
Is it possible to find one single nit (goldenish) and no lice? I have combed through my daughter's hair 3 times and only the 1st time I found something questionable that looks like a nit. I loaded her hair with conditioner and parted it thoroughly and combed through every section, up and down, side to side, etc. Her cousin recently had a lice issue but was cleared by a lice removal lady. Her parents took her back and they found one single live lice but no nits.
Yes, its possible to find just one nit. Or, it could have been a DEC plug, which looks very similar. Either way, it sounds like you did a very thorough lice check and your daughter doesn't have anything else in there, so it sounds like she's in the clear. All I'd recommend is doing another check in a few days.

First, I'd recommend getting a really good lice comb. I recommend the nit-free terminator (you can find it on Amazon). When you have psoriasis like that you're better off combing though the hair as it's really difficult to see things with the dandruff the psoriasis causes.

I wonder if your doctor can recommend or call you in something to treat that won’t hurt your psoriasis. I hope you are able to get rid of them quickly and it all works out for you.

Anyone is welcome to give home remedies or over the counter treatments a try, I don't want anyone to struggle with lice. I don't sell any products, instead I'm more of a "lice coach" for people who are struggling with lice.

I've been struggling with lice for a couple of months now I think some kids at my school had it but blow drying it and straighting my hair really helped for 2 days nits are almost gone only a few are left in gonna do this for a month to see the results😊

Sorry for the late reply. For others with the same question, Yes, you can just put them in a sealed garbage bag outside or in the car. In the car, even if it's only 85 degrees outside the car gets up to 140 degrees after a few hours.

You can't get head lice from a hot tub because lice hold on tightly to the hair whenever they encounter water, otherwise you'd be able to get rid of them really easily by just washing your hair.

I’ve used 30% permethrin mixed 2oz to a gallon of water. A handheld clothing steamer kills lice on mattress and items too large for a dryer quickly.

How do you remove lice yourself ? Like... I have no sisters, aunty's or mum around to help me. I'm struggling for over a year. I've tried every single product I can get my hands on. My thick, curly and is impossible to rake through a lice comb at home. HELP
Thanks for reaching out. That's really difficult. When it comes to treating yourself that's really tricky, especially if you have really thick hair. In your case you might want to try using a 100% dimethicone-based lice treatment (you can find them on Amazon) and doing multiple treatments over several weeks.
