Nice! That was what I've been doing because I couldn't feel that one was better than the other, my gut feeling is right 50% of the time!
I thought that if the upperhand on the mace 360 was your right hand you put it over your left shoulder and Vice versa.
It’s all preference as stated in the video. Anyone that believes this contradicts evolving your mace swings into 10&2’s where you do both regardless. I prefer the bottom doing mace swings and do that no problem with maces as heavy as 32kg.
That’s why I teach two handed, one handed, and doubles with clubs (I don’t teach double maces). Believe me, it’s all preference. I just coached a online client who had zero experience swinging maces and he started with a 7lb mace. We’ve been training for less than 60days (FaceTiming twice a week) and he can now two hand 360 (both directions for 5reps) with the Onnit 25lb Quad mace. It wasn’t magic - he literally practiced consistently with my feedback and preferred his base hand when doing 360s.
I personally can do 2H 360 with a 70lb mace and 1H a 40lb - sticking with this training standard for years.
But yes, there’s more that could be explained in this video. However, that would be a 15min video to better explain it, and very few would have the attention span for (CZcams analytics). My methods are mainly proved when people commit to my ebook programs and see instant results by doing more than two handed mace and club variations….and get all in one source.

I've been doing 20-25 reps on each grip, for a total of 40-50 reps per set. Should I lower the reps and increase the number of sets? Thanks coach :)
It depends on what your goal is. If its endurance...then yes that works, but if you want to work up to heavier maces I would go no more than 6-8 reps per side with more sets. That’s what I personally do with my 25kg/55lb mace.
@@CoachVikingVaughn Gotcha, thanks for the advice. I've "mastered" 10, 15 and 20 lb maces over the past 6 months. Hope I can reach the beastly level of 55 lb one day!
Sure thing👍 If you progressing that fast, you’ll get there well before the end of the year.
@@CoachVikingVaughn Lol I wish! I think 10-15-20 were mastered quickly because I had a base level of strength that allowed me to progress fast. What I've noticed though is that the higher the steel mace weight, the more raw grip/forearm/shoulder power and joint integrity you need.
I'll definitely aim for 55 lb within a few years though! :)
Can you do a mace 360s with a 15 pound mace for 90 minutes straight
No, I have a life with better things to do.
Not necessarily you. Do you think it’s possible?
@@jackedwin9538 It's possible. However, just because you can . . . doesn't mean you should. This channel has always been about putting focused effort into quality reps. Quantity to that magnitude is absolutely ridiculous.
But what if you want to make a point to the boys?
