Martina, the relaxation part of Taiji is the hardest part to master, that's is why Taiji is an internal martial arts, different from other wushu forms, one needs to relax the exterior outer muscles when doing the slow movements, that is when doing the transferring and build up of power, and when releasing the power by using dantian inside to outside, any tenseness of exterior muscles will act as resistance to power transfer and will slow the acceleration of the fast movement, the looseness of the hip, shoulder, elbow, wrist joints are needed for maximum power transfer. At the point of impact for example on a punch, there should be a tightening of the fist and a tightening of dantian causing a slight recoil of the shoulder and arm. Like a gun, the bullet goes out fast and a slight recoil of the gun backwards. Keep up the good work.

Wonderful performance Martina. I am sorry you didnt win. You were so flexible. I loved it. Unfortunately I could not attend because I am not a member of IWUF club.

Thank you very much for your beautiful comment :) I definitely won over myself at this championships, I did not feel good enough to compete, I did not want to be pressed into music acompanied performance and I just wanted to give up. So at the end the biggest victory for me is to step on the carpet, fight for ranking and do my best! :) Next world championships will be in 2 years, so you may try to fix the problem with your attendance till that time and come to compete! :) Thank you for your comment again, it made my day!

Hi Martina, I was there as a competitor for Traditional Chen form and Chen sword for Team Canada, keep up the good work and work on the softer part of your form, the LOOSENESS or RELAXATION part.

Raymond Ma Thank you so much for your feedback! :-) I am very happy to finaly fix my back a little (after 2,3 years) so I can start to concentrate more on other aspects of my Taijiquan, you are absolutely right. :-) whenever you fix one thing a new dimension opens its doors and shows thousands other things to improve... I just love the proces... :-) I am very happy to meet you all there! PS. altough it makes no sence I always feel so stressed when I hear this song - it makes me run trough the routine as fast as I can :-D
