    I’ve been searching everywhere for someone going through the same thing as me and I’m so glad I found your videos!! I’m going to the doctor tomorrow to get this sorted out

    Hi I know it’s 4 years later but I’m so so happy I came across your video!!
    I was diagnosed with server Gastroparises 6 month ago after suffering over a year with it caused by a 10 year ED.
    After the 4 hour scan it said for solid food there was still 89% left in my stomach & 62% left of the water so it’s very significant & abnormal.
    I can’t eat solid food or stay hydrated at home because for both even water when I do it sits for hours in my stomach, causes server crippling pain & bloating & it all comes back for for the next few hours. (Vommiting)
    I get constipated for 6-10 months at a time, enemas don’t work, no laxities work & so far no mobility medication for Gastroparises has worked.
    I’ve had the colonoscopy & just been referred for an endoscopy… But here in the uk waiting lists are insanely long so many months!!
    This year I’ve been admitted to the hospital at least once a month since January, some admissions being 2 weeks later after discharge, ranging from a few days to way over a week!!
    Anorexia also paralysed my bladder last year & for a year now I’ve had a permanent urinary catheter which I hate but it does not empty at all, not even a drop!
    Eating disorders are horrible & can unfortunately do permanent damage like it did to me which I’ve had confirmed by both my Gastrointestinal team & urology team xx

    No doctor has told me something helpful they just tell me stupid shit like eat vegetables I'm so scared Everytime I have to go to the bathroom and what makes it worse is that people around me show no concern to how serious the situation is they just think it's a joke I'm so tiered of this problem I wish I could go back to being normal

    Very informative and such good advice. We should not have to suffer and just assume it will go away. Thank you 🙏

    If your stomach empties food within 2 hours, then that's on the fast side, the test takes 4 hours to fight the perennial which test you do and if you have 90% or more, it's regular. I have gastroparesis, my food took me about 5 hours to 4 and a 1/2 for a empty 2 hours is normal.

      Samantha Richards It does get better. You just have to remind yourself of the good days on the bad days. Enjoy and celebrate the little things, those are what’s worth fighting for.

      Samantha Richards well I don’t weigh myself, at all. I went up 1 jean size and 4 bra sizes though. I did get weighed recently though, and despite eating until stuffed and not restricting in any way, plus not exercising, I’ve hardly gained.

    This was me a month ago. Mine wasn't that bad though. I got away with just colonscopy prep. I'm still having problems going on my own though. 😔 Have to go back in for tests.

    They did not tell you to do an enema? An entire package of grapes chewn really well? I couldn't poop for 4 days and gave me laxatives-nothing. I had to put tons of water up me and WAIT. An hour. You would have started vomiting feces.

    Hi can I please talk with you, anyone actually who suffers from this condition?? My girlfriend suffers from this and I do t know what else to do for help ideas or solutions... Thanks

      @priscillachristine2930  Před 5 lety +1

      I'm sorry your GF is suffering; there isn't really much you can do to be honest. Just be understanding and encouraging. Eating easy to digest foods should help her, soft foods. Basically think of her tummy as a baby's. Her intestines need to learn how to digest food all over again. Soft foods, semi solids would be best, especially if she's having trouble eating in generally. Little by little. I started off with only eating oatmeal, purees and smashed potatoes.
