  • The Cannondale Jekyll is a 165mm travel enduro bike that has boldly jumped onto the high pivot bandwagon for 2022. Along with its hidden shock, idler wheel and shape-shifting paint job, this is no doubt a thoroughly striking machine. But is different better?

For me it's too expensive for the equipped parts and too damn heavy for a carbon bike at this price range 😁

@@NorthernSkiAndCycle Sure it looka truly awesome but 16kg is like really heavy kinda.
Sure I can just loose some weight and bla aswell but it's Still something different to throw 16kg around for 4h or 14kg for 4h if you go for some touring🤷‍♂️😊

Very, very cool but I worry about short lived drive with low wrap angle engagement on crank side. Time will tell but awesome looking bike...but gotta add. Why blame rim dents on the rim? That is the riders fault!

      1. A chain tensioner will help chain wrap, and it does have lower iscg05 mounts
      2. WTB have never been durable. Theyre insanely easy to turn into a crescent

Omg! With the outdated DPX2 on a 2022 enduro bike. There are so many red flags here. Stay away - especially for the asking over price.

Welcome to the modern day. Its actually cheap for a full carbon frame. This came out before the float X did. It is also the new dpx2. Not the old one. So if you ask me its actually very decent value concidering the ridiculous inflation, brexit and rising commission costs from Taiwanese factories. Also consider Cannondale was also acquired by Pon Holdings, who own Santa Cruz, so Cannondale and GT have both got away from cheap ass Dorel and is now owned by a far more upmarket parent company that actually supplies the majority of equipment to Volkswagen since Pon does own a partial stake in VW

@@dantindley5181 Let me inform you, that DPX2 is discontinued by FOX, and the NEW Float X 2022 takes over the DPX2. The NEW Float X 2022 is a complete new redesign compared to the OLD Float X from 2016'ish. It's a now much burlier than DPX2 and definitely a MUCH better match for a heavy bike like the Jekyll. Oh no... you can't upgrade the shock on the Jekyll with this shock inside frame design. Another RED FLAG there! Take a look at the new Canyon Spectral 29'ers with FOX/Shimano kit.. You will cry aaaaall the way to the bank on your Jekyll. :) Welcome to the modern day to you too! :)

@@Exalix I work in Sigma Sports, We sell these! Fox does not show or sell O/E Equipment. Its called OEM gor a reason.
Yes this shock is new, you only need to look at the piggyback to see it.
      Foxs OE Equipment include
      Fox 32 Performance/Rhythm
      Fox 34 Performance/Rhythm
      Fox 36 Performance/Rhythm
      Fox 38 Performance/Rhythm
      Fox Float X2 Performance Elite/Performance
      Fox Van
      Fox DHX2 Performance Elite
      Fox Float X Performance Elite
      Fox DPX2 Performance/Performance Elite
      Fox DPS Performance
I may have missed a few but all of these are still sold and regularly updated by Fox. So that goes the same as Rockshox and the standard forks in the "R" damper series and thier shocks in the Select series. Shimano Non-series is the same. neither of which are sold to the general public and are reserved for manufacturers only.
Yea you can replace it with a different shock, you must be able to figure out that if it went in, itll come back out again
      You remove the bash plate
      Unscrew the bottom shock eye
Unscrew the middle rocker pivot which reveals the top shock eye
      Unscrew the top shock eye
Install new shock and reverse the process
I know because i own a Jekyll 2 and have replaced almost everything, including the shock which is now a DHX2 Factory.
Cannondale supplies a guide to replace the shock. All it is is an extra step
It is also specified everywhere that the new Jekyll is coil compatible. Now if you say that the shock here cant be removed, why do you think they tell you that if the 1 and 2 both come with air shocks?
So do your research before trying to talk to people who have worked in 3 different bike business as a mechanic, stock assistant, and warehouse operative.

@@dantindley5181 🤜🤛Still the dpx2 is on the way out! If Cannondale just had put on a new Float X, I can’t see why. There are many other things on this bike where Cannondale has cut corners also. Other manufactures updated their bike models with dpx2 with a new Float X. Cannondale didn’t because they had to make room for margins to pay for pay checks to sales people on the sales floors. 🙂
      Cheers , Merry Christmas 🧑‍🎄
