I decided to go back to doing these the way I used to, where I'd just put them in the order they show up in during a playthrough. There are some QTE sequences that have multi inputs, but those ones don't have individual fails, so if you succeed one then fail the next, you'll still get the same fail. There's so much amazing choreography brought with this game! What do you guys like the most?

I absolutely adore how the action sequences show that Ichi's become a much better fighter. He isn't just using sloppy haymakers and grabs, now he's busting out spinning kicks, elbows, armbars. It's so cool.
Yeah, it also shows he skillfully handles multiple goons himself and could also dodge a lot of deadly attacks from good fighters like Yamai, Wong Tou and Dwight.
@@phihungnguyen118I think Ichi always has been him, but he's leveled up quite a bit after his first adventure
His footwork in the first Dwight fight is insane. And the quick thinking of pushing Chitose out of the way… wowzers
19:23 had me howling because if you interact with the plant pot on the way in Saeko thinks Kiryu is admiring the flowers but he says he's thinking about cover for a shootout.
foreshadowing for later
It was so good, I was delighted
I mean it's not the first time he has been fighting INSIDE the Bojo clan headquarters so it would be normal of him to say that these things could work for cover Incase punchs are not thrown instead boolets are
@@LuisMane1 The Boris Johnson clan?
Can't a man do both? but nice forshadowing
the sudden "forced into brawler combat" parts of the Tojo legends boss fights has to be one of the coolest things this franchise has done
the dynamic intro for wong tou had me SCREAMING
Dude could be the strongest in the series, and don´t downplay it as Ichiban ain´t that strong or Kiryu has cancer, neither Majima or Saejima would have a dynamic intro like that
I'm so glad that the brawler sections of the Majima, Saejima, and Daigo fight exist legit brought a tear to my eyes on my 1st playthrough
that sure caught me by surprise, rgg did everything perfect in that fight and i was running around taking my time during brawler mode looking at the memories between the 3 jimas and vibing to the music man ch12 is truly amazing 😢
hearing For Face play and seeing the memories of Daigo and Kiryu all over really made me get emotional
I know many people have differing opinions on stuff like the ending and ichiban's final boss and whatnot, but you can't deny that this is the most RGG has ever cooked in terms of Dynamic intros and QTEs, as soon as I saw Dwight's dynamic intro I was wondering to myself how we are already getting stuff like this so early into the game.
As soon as i saw a qte for the nameless character bosses in seiryu clan hq, i was excited
Yeah, I was happy to see more intros and QTEs compared to 7
I still think Lost Judgment has the better Dynamic Intros
They had me sold at eiji being bad ass on the wheelchair tbh
For me, it was Yamai. That was some insane choreography for what is practically an introduction scene.
30:24 this fail flows much better than the win.
That actually goes so hard
makes sense why he smirks
It really seems like there wasn't meant to be a QTE there.
4:47 this is so nutty
Ichiban needed his own Jingu fight, it's like a rite of passage for the protagonist in this series. I'm sure he'll get his Ryuji in the next game.
True he got his Nishiki with Masato and Jingu with Bryce. Hell he even got his own Majima with Yamai
Thing is would the Asakura subquest move will stay?
@@zapperil they'll probably reintroduce him in the next game, with more learnable moves perhaps?
@@justarandomguy1561probably someone that has the same purpose as him
His Ryuji was Tendo though
I really liked Wong Tou’s fighting style, quite a shame we won’t see him again.
It's incredible how multiple of Yamai's dynamic intros would easily be some of the best in the series.
30:11 "egidididide"
Why would nanba say that lol
@@kiryukazuma-chan8803maybe he was paralyzed from Ebina’s attack?
@@Sune maybe he knew how good the fight was and got excited?
@@kiryukazuma-chan8803is he stupid ?
nanba became quagmire with the giggity giggity
5:05 did Kiryu just do his iconic kick
He DID! Ha! I missed that!
Nope. This is a spin kick.
@@dragonkamran Though the stance is 100% identical to his kick during the revelation in Y0, the only thing that's really different is him spinning before doing it and his left arm doesn't show a thumb-up :(
@@thuytrangoan2508It’s not even from Y0, it’s from Yakuza 1 (PS2) like bruh
@@dragonkamranDon’t matter, he’s still doing the pose on the box art of Yakuza 1.
13:43
God that flows so much better with the fail
Also just feels good to have Majima get the best of Kiryu, even just for a moment
But we all know even with cancer, Kiryu can still dodge and punch Majima like the good old days
Everybody gangsta till Yamai starts flying towards Ichiban
till Ebina does TWO SPINS IN THE AIR
Yamai Jumpscare
25:20
So I found out I skipped this portion of the fight, didn't even know that part even happened
Same, if I had to guess it happens if you let the arms live, which I wasn’t too keen on
@@mx.e2176 such a shame, i quickly get rid of the arms first whenever it respawned cuz i thought it would do some one hit ko moves if i let it stick around
If you don't get rid of the tentacles targeting a party member, yeah.
Learned that the hard way because I tried to be fancy and tried to use AOEs when none of them hit the body and the arm at the same time.
There's an action sequence that was missed, but I don't blame you for missing it.
During the fight in the theater, when it's split up into 2 groups, if Adachi and Tomizawa both get KO'd, there's a sequence where they both run up to where Kasuga is. This also auto-revives them with 1 HP.
For me, Tomi got KO'd, and went next to Kasuga when revived, then Adachi got KO'd and the sequence played.
I got that one
There is also an action sequence with Asakura in a substory.
It's nice that the game throw you a bone here. I was expecting them to stay KO'd because of the PTSD I got from jima brothers difficulty spike in the last game.
@@ape5270 I'm just glad they show level recommendations. Except the finale. Had to grind a bit there.
Personnally i got rid of Adachi and Tomi ennemies first, then they run up to Kasuga
After finishing Like a dragon IW, I have to say that Bryce's dynamic intro it has to be one of the best I seen. Easily on my top 5 for Dynamic intros.
MUNAKATA MOMENT
Yea, they really knew how to make a 90+ years old geriatric boss look cool
I prefer Kiryu vs Ebina dynamic intro
6:09 this sync is awesome
4:08 anime deaths be like
They really cooked with the dynamic intros in this game that's for sure
True
So much better than 7's fr
Dynamic intro was always one of the things i look forward the most whenever playing a new yakuza/judgment game
This game knocked it out of the park with these sequences. By far the BEST in the franchise. I'm so hyped for the future of the franchise.
I can’t tell you how many of these had my actually cheer out loud while playing. Especially for Wong Tou and that drawn out sequence in the Millennium Tower at 27:42.
All Dynamic Intros: *SPOILERS*
Yutaka Yamai 1 | 0:38
Barracudas (an intro?) | 2:18
Dwight Mendez | 3:23
Wong Tou | 4:46
Yutaka Yamai 2 | 6:19
Yutaka Yamai 3 | 8:15
Jo Sawashiro | 9:43
Heavy Machinery | 11:09
Daigo, Majima and Saejima | 13:29
Seiryu Clan Grunts | 18:47
Masafumi Narasaki | 20:19
Giant Shark | 24:14
Giant Squid | 24:37
Palekana Warriors | 25:56
Palekana Elites | 26:32
Ichiban’s Final Boss | 26:48
Kiryu’s Final Boss | 29:31
They really cooked on the dynamic intros in this game; Bryce and his Palekana Warriors' in particular was straight-up biblical and made me so hyped lmao
Imagine y8 being you're first game in the series and you see this 17:12
Lmfao why did they use that one
essence of backshot
29:13 Kiryu didn't kill him, the guy just died from the explosion
The guy did not die. That's rubber explosion.
I'm just glad that Ichiban has better at fighting and good fighter!
I love how even he got hit, he can tank that and hit as hard in retaliation
I like his scrapper fighting style and liked witnessing the others fighting styles in the dynamic scenes
Never thought being underleveled for the 3jimas fight would make it so much more enjoyable
Side note: Failing the Wong Tau QTE looks so much more cooler
I like failing the QTE because it makes it feel like the Antagonist have the same strength as the protagonist, makes it feel like an even Battle and raises the coolness of the Antagonist.
I got so hyped during the Sawashiro fight his boss theme goes so freaking hard
20:42 this is the sword for Sasaki Kojiro
seeing the qte fails r kinda badass
That sequence with Saejima, Majima and Daigo in the Millennium Tower gives me chills every time. They cooked so hard with that soundtrack too.
The cutscene with Kiryu grabbing Ebina's sword made me think he'd lose a few fingers, like a yubitusme for all the fuckups of the Tojo Clan up until that point
Dwight and Yamai's dynamic intro and QTE goes hard
Now I wonder how LAD9 would go, will it be set in the mainland US? Will we get shit like cartels/Italian Mafia? I’m now curious
Paulie Walnuts dynamic intro
@@sal_monellaf***ing queee*s , PAULIE WALNUTS, CAPTIN OF THE SOPRANO FAMILY
Wherever it may be, Ijincho is far from enough, so I bet going international is a must or maybe 1 or 2 new, big areas in Japan. Maybe it’ll be in somewhere in China or Hong Kong. Who knows?
I think they may keep it in Hawaii for now. Creating the Honolulu map had to have taken them time, throwing it out after using it once would be a waste of resources
@@shinobirecords2018 New Found Judgment, Like a Dragon Gaiden: This man is no thief. RGG will find a way to use it even if they will not be using it for the next main line entry
RGG definitely focused on the cinematic aspect of this game alot more and we're excited to see what they can do more in the future
2:23 IS THAT FUCKING SAM B
Genuinely some of the best qtes and dynamic intros in the series, yamai is THE goat
I like how you put fail first and then successful qte nice 👌🏽
I really like where RGG's going with both Judgments and Infinite Wealth. These games are so cinematic and got many memorable epic moments. It's fascinating how far we've come from the very first game on PS2!
One thing i always wondered was why even tho we succeed in a badass QTE, we deal like 50 dmg to the boss lol
I'm not quite at the end yet (about to go see Daigo & co.), and realizing that they don't even represent the freaking halfway mark of this video makes me Very Excited for the rest of this game.
Nice job, pretty cool also
13:06 was kinda cool to me!
I was pretty happy when I saw the qtes pop up
Also the fight intros where cool af
Dynamic intros makes these games awesome
They definitely did the prompts for qtes a bit early imo, especially when you fail them
Wong Tou goes so hard wtf
Man I wish we could've had Kiryu and Ichiban in the party for a bit longer in the game 😭. Their dynamic intro against Wong Tou is one of the cleanest intros in all of the games.
When that guard reanimated, I got jingu flashbacks and they were not good ones
will you do a video about the best jobs/stuff/skills to get for each char?
I love Yamai his theme is so under rated!
i think some of these were animated before they decided to add the qtes back thats why some of them flow a little better if you fail xd
Why do some of the moments when you fail the qte actually go so hard?
29:14 "RUUUUN GRENADAAAAA-"
20:52 Is that…. Sephiroth’s sword?!
It's "Odachi" the long and heavy variant of katana. Used by heavy samurai units.
@@LegitJeremyTH that reminds a bit of Sephiroth’s long sword
@@nintendorakyamato1859I believe the Masamune (Sephiroth's Blade) is actually longer than an Odachi
I like dynamic intros, and every heat move give me a vibe of dynamic intro so I still prefer beat’em up yakuza games
2nd Yamai intro is my favorite so far
No way Elden Ring in Yakuza??????? 11:11
I knew I recognized that roaring somewhere lmfao they literally used the dragon roar sound from dark souls and elden ring.
@@MajinVegeta593 Well it's a stock sound. So no surprise.
Bryce is just a series of hard images, especially with the guns
Wait a second... Reynolds QTE fail animation kinda looks like Yakuza 0/Kiwami 1 bust-a-door's animation
It is that animation, replayed K1 recently. This is it.
Yamai is basically Ichiban's own Majima
yes
12:53 you can block???? Is that trying to grab or you gotta press L1 or something?
The Xbox prompts caught me by surprise, cool QTEs though.
I'm an xbox gamer at heart 😎

One thing that has me sort of confused me is how does Ichiban and his gang even know Kiryu? Last time we saw Kiryu in 7, they never learned his name or anything about him. Yet as soon as Kiryu appears, everyone knows everything about him. Does that mean they have met Kiryu after the events of 7? Wouldn't really make sense if someone just straight up told them about Kiryu because why would they do that?
They do meet Kiryu and got to know him after the event of 7, you should also take into account the fact that there's a 3 years gap between LAD7 and 8 so literally anything could've happened in that timeframe
Rumors of Kiryu showing up for the Great Dissolution popped up (a certain past character caught wind of this). Ichiban and his friends must have heard of them and connected the dots after doing some research.
In addition, the Geomijul party members already know who Kiryu really is in 7.
4:09 and 5:42 very realistic
Do you think kiryu knows Narqsaki is dead? I mean, ebina never told him.
He doesnt care
What the hell they added vore into giant squid fight
its very strange that gaiden just doesnt get mentioned at all aside from hanawa. kiryu didnt try to meet with masawa and that nishitani and sishido just dont appear at all
Gaiden was being developed during Infinite Wealth development, I think this is why.
So yamai it's ichiban's kuze 😅
Tips:Never fail a QTE its brutal for your character (unless you are a beginner)
Sega:yakuza 6 the song of life will be the last game of kiryu journey, after that,he will finally take the rest
Sega a few year later after yakuza 6:continute bring kiryu back and not let him rest
And now they make him sick and give him death flag

1:57 this and the cutscene where Ichiban headbutts the cop who arrested him are why I love this game. Its good to see the series finally treating police with the respect they deserve
