She killed it. But even with her amazing confidence and undeniable talent, I love it that you can tell she's just a touch nervous - it shows humility. Talent and humility at the same time? What a great combo.

She's not nervous. She just has a fantastically comedic way of appearing nervous. She's very confident and rightly so. Brits have a different way of showing confidence to Americans.

Pay no attention to the little man, she’s wonderful and extremely talented. Check out her show Fleabag, and her other less well known, but equally good Crashing. She also wrote Killing Eve and has helped write the new James Bond film.

She IS a genius but KE was not her complete creation. She adapted it brilliantly from a book by Luke Jennings.
Killing Eve is based on someone else's story.
Not to mention all the writers of both seasons
Apparently she didn't even do the 2nd season of KE but you can guess they like riding each other's coattails.
You can hear a pin drop from 3:00 for the next several seconds. She had everyone in the palm of her hand with baited breath hanging on her every word. I’ve never seen that in an SNL monologue. Well done PWB. Brava.
The accent
They're almost universally underwhelming. The last good one I can remember is John Mulaney's.

"Do we have to do the monologue?" then she proceeded to do one of the best SNL monologues i've watched. British humor is so funny because i'm so used to american punchlines, and she always subverted my expectations.
british humour to a T, check out other classic british comedies: toast of london, peep show (quite cringe though), inbetweeners, chewing the fat... there's so many more ahaha

I'm from the UK and I don't find her funny at all. I watched Fleabag and to be honest it's a show for posh girls.
That is the best monologue Ive heard on this show in a looooong time. Every phrase was a comical hit. Impressive. Rock on Phoebs.

Fleabag actually started out as a one-woman show which is really funny and is just her! (Obviously not stand up but is similar)
Yeah! actually her show, Fleabag, started when a friend, who wanted her to do stand-up, asked her to fill in for a 30 minute slot and it was kind of the beginnings of her play, which soon became the Fleabag show -so she definitely has that talent.

I agree and disagree, in the first place this woman is incredibly talented well-spoken, attractive, and seems to be quite intelligent and as she could be "good" at doing standup but with certain things in life one either is or one is not, and please don't take this the wrong way because I think she is an amazing person and beautiful really but she doesn't strike me as funny., also I could be wrong.

Andrew Man111 Not sexist in the slightest, I think you’ll find that most of those criticizing her or belittling her talent seem to be of the male persuasion. But... some of her most vocal supporters are also male, those who’ve actually watched her shows and listened to her words. And who says you’re in the majority? Just because you don’t know about something doesn’t mean you outnumber those who do. The Emmy awards might give a hint that she’s pretty good. Killing Eve won loads last year and Fleabag this year. Not bad going for someone who you don’t rate. Anyway, off you pop, there’s probably some Jackass reruns on somewhere.

Props to her for an actual dialogue and no random cast members joining or musical number. This was great!

I love this speech because some female celebrities talk about genitalia and sex and just get it so wrong, like Amy Schumer. But this speech wasn’t gross to listen to, it was relatable, fresh, and hilarious! Bravo PWB! :)
