Siren Pack: drive.google.c... First in a series (that hopefully goes past this one installment) of catastrophes. Next up on the list is a tornado outbreak with a major twist...
This is one of, if not the best weather scenarios on CZcams. You did a great job. If I may ask, what voice filter did you use for Paul to make him sound like that?
Bou does have a werid protocol things I expect to be warned don't get warned but I've learned to live with it especially on KEC76 kec76 is kinda a meme with me sometimes and with they put watches out in Their forecast zones
So i finally have something of KWN40 since no one seems to have posted anything close to a broadcast cycle from there haha. I could give you the video just in case you ever want to do another scenario in Colorado
Wish a Severe Thunderstorm Emergency can be help and used by the National Weather Service for Hail sized as 4 inch or higher and Winds higher more 80 mph for today for enhanced vision of a severe thunderstorm warning, just like a Tornado Emergency (enhanced version of a tornado warning), is issued for a confirmed, large and destructive tornado for producing catastrophic damage and hitting populated areas in seconds. Great EAS Scenario!
@@MasenMonster no, the alert was an improvised statement issued by The National Weather Service in Cheyanne, when a catastrophic severe thunderstorm was producing consistent hail reaching three inches if not larger over an area. other than that, offices can not issue severe thunderstorm emergencies, as they literally can not be issued unless an SVS is declared.
Excellent little scenario. When the storm hit Denver and they worded the alert like that I knew this was gonna be good. Fantastic job. Keep up the good work!
I still think they should add EXTM risk or wind risks for hurricanes (I've been in a cat 2 with 15%non sig wind) Also dont sirens go off at baseball sized lol
As a Wyomingite, I gotta ask. Do you guys down in CO actually run the sirens for "Severe Thunderstorm Warnings"? Or is that just for dramatic effect? I've never heard the sirens for anything outside Flash Flood and Tornado warnings. I've heard they're used for Wildfires as well but have never experienced it personally. Never even heard of it for severe t-storms though.
Idk about the rest of Colorado, but apparently, as of today, Denver is starting to use their sirens for all hazards, so they could use them for severe thunderstorms. In this video though, the sirens were just for dramatic effect.
@@ultratoughscene Thank you so much for answering, and swiftly too! I appreciate it ^^ I'll have to look more into that because, to me, that's a really interesting decision for them to make ^^; (My Wyoming brain just jumps to "Colorado, you're weird." pffft)
I never heard a pds svr emergency with 5 inch hail in my life i guess thats the highest it could get. I am watching that part when it says 5 inch hail so i might be wrong
The highest the NWS goes to is 4.5 inches (Softball). There isn't really a PDS SVR-E. But there is such thing as a SVR-E en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Severe_thunderstorm_warning if you scroll to the bottom of that link.
I'm from the The area this senerio set in and I use the station key 76 the way some of the wording is not correct and the transmitter is In northern part of Denver near Dia and some of the places pronounced arnt correct. But none the less very good all around
BOU definitely has very interesting protocol. The official transmitter site had Glendale as the KEC76 location so that's what I went with. Glad you enjoyed!

Thanks! It was a combination of a ton of different things in Vegas Pro 17, but I don't remember since I haven't used it to make scenarios in a while.
SAW YOUR LIVESTREAM!
9:32 I have the same weather radios only them and they also sit together
Every car in the Denver area starts to look like Reed Timmer's car
I would pay real money to see him return one of his destroyed rental cars back to an Enterprise
lol
Sžsčsžds
My guess is that the hail is going to be so big that people will be dismembered I am still at the one minute mark.
17:20 I've never heard a woman say, "Wow! That is 5 inches. Unbelievable!". Lol!
Kinda sus
0:23 That looks like snow, but it's really hailstones.
Haven't seen too many EAS scenarios in Colorado
Colorado is underrated in the EAS Community imo.
Well I live near Denver so this would be terrifying
You get a severe thunderstorm warning: *PANIK*
It's only for 60 mile per hour winds: *kalm*
THERES 4.5-5 INCH HAIL: **P A N I K**
Awesome scenario! you almost perfectly matched BOU's unique alert protocol, and i really enjoyed the radar and alerts map!
Bou does have a werid protocol things I expect to be warned don't get warned but I've learned to live with it especially on KEC76 kec76 is kinda a meme with me sometimes and with they put watches out in Their forecast zones
Totally stand with you on that, i remember thinking FFA's and AVW's would tone when in reality its only the 3 Am HWW and WSWs lol
Can you make the great Florida outbreak some time lol
"TORNADO EMERGENCY FOR NAPLES "
COAST GAURD REPORTED TORNADO
Lol something I whipped up
14:03 the hail is so freaking large it sounds like it’s raining 50 cal bullets
It's so large that it sounds like it's raining high heels 👠
I love the inclusion of Radar
It Gives you something to Pay more attention to
Great eas scenario
i like how the radar has no blue on the legend but the storms do

It is a real alert. Just very rarely used.

If you check my latest video you will see softball size hail

They do officially
At 2.75 inch hail and/or 80+ mph winds
How did you get the Paul voice
He most likely used this link: drive.google.com/uc?export=download&confirm=Baja&id=1Rn9_BSYPB1gi07jPt2M3-Lo9SkHzsc5b
Nice video!
One question: Where did you get the Thunderbolt at 18:00 from?
Thanks! I think it's this one: czcams.com/video/1iFgJVuyyiI/video.html&ab
Sounds a bit sick.
The scenario was amazing! I’ll post my observations in the comments later.
What's the plan for Outbreak II?

@@ultratoughscene i wonder why when the nws say grapefruit size hail and it says 4.5 inch but softball says 4
Because professional grapefruits grow bigger than softballs idk
Weld county tornado :(
I'm TORE deprived
Btw wasnt the squall from hell Bowling ball sized hail lol
I’m from Colorado Springs
Wow 🤩
Very well done. This was enjoyable. 👍
One question…
Do severe thunderstorm emergencies real?
Yes but only one was ever issued. It was for Scottsbluff, NE
@@ultratoughscene when?
Summer 2018 or 2019

Some of your weather radio is incorrect, but I still really enjoyed this scenario. Pretty accurate.
Yeah KEC76 is definitely one of the more interesting stations I've come across, at least in terms of how things are worded.

Yeah but their wording in the actual alerts is always "Denver Colorado". I know its a bit weird

Rip for people who live in colorado 😅😂
