    Correct Way To Repoint Darts, Easily and with Precision.
    My channel is exclusive to darts only content. I create my content as I simply love to play darts and want to help other dart players improve with my own channel.
    All my video's are based on how to play darts as well as advise on equipment and general darts setup with the aim to guide any new players in their darting journey as well as provide more experienced or even professional dart players with dart content to help improve.
    I throw around an 80 average myself with my left hand due to in injury and dartitis in my right arm.
    I may on occasion use footage from the Professional darts corporation (the P.D.C) as well as The British Darts organisation (The B.D.O). These are used under fair use legislation and all credit should be given the rightful creators.

    Good tips thanks! I don’t know why you wouldn’t use a specialty point though to eliminate or reduce the lip

      I have used them in the past, but I never saw much difference for myself personally. Maybe because Mt darts are so chunky and has a flat noise compared to most at the front.

    hello! new to the channel. i want to repoint some mikuru suzukis, but afraid points will need to add superglue.
    how many repoints until superglue is usually needed? thank you

    • @Straightdarts
      @Straightdarts  Před 3 lety

      Normally more that 10 repoints. But some manufactures had thicker points that overs. Normally black coated points as thicker as well :)

    Howndo i stop damaging the new points when i clamp them down, i have to tighten the screws quite a bit or they don't stay in tight and its then damaging the points?

    • @Straightdarts
      @Straightdarts  Před 2 měsíci +1

      Put electrical tape of masking tape on them, also make sure your not over tightening. Some points damage easier than overs, though.

      @@connorgriffin987 The most common issues with these is when the point is slipping through the grip of the repointer, this happens when a point is overly pressed in and or the grip block (or nuts on it) have worn down due to use. This causes less traction and and grip on the point making it easier to slip through the vice on the tool.
      You could try to glue the point in to the vice as well for added grip using a quick drying super gel (like locktite) then sand off the glue from the repointer once the job is complete, this just might work. :) other than that a new repointer would be needed, preferably one with a bar instead of a a big alan key if the point is in really in tight as this will give you more leverage. :)

      Did you change the length of the point?

    • @Straightdarts
      @Straightdarts  Před 5 měsíci

      Are the points longer or have a different grip? Maybe ite a different brand. For example, Target points are fairy blunt and play very different.

      I throw 23g harrows, got 38mm swiss points.I use short stems alongside side this so I tried moving to medium length stem to help balance them out when they land and it seems to have done the trick with compromising my throw, stance or grip. Maybe pass on this idea if you haven't alread!@@Straightdarts
