    Such waste of life
    Gallipoli
Dreams of freedom turned to dust
Hell is waiting where the ocean meets the sand
    Cliffs of burden
Where the soldiers rushed into a certain death
    At the shoreline
Blood of heroes stains the land
    Light a candle
One for each of them who fought and died in vain
    There is no enemy
    There is no victory
Only boys who lost their lives in the sand
    Young men were sacrificed
Their names are carved in stone and kept alive
And forever we will honour the memory of them
And they knew they would die

ANZAC'S were doing most of the work they were helping the British. The aim of this deployment was to assist a British naval operation that aimed to force the Dardanelles Strait and capture the Turkish capital, Constantinople. The Australians landed at what became known as Anzac Cove on 25 April 1915, and they established a tenuous foothold on the steep slopes above the beach. 60,000 Australians that fought at Gallipoli, there were 26,000 casualties and 7,594 were killed and there were also New Zealanders. The Australians and New Zealanders did not have to fight in this war but they chose to help so that their families could live because at this moment Germany was planning to try to take over the world again. Many ANZAC'S lost their lives over the campain

5:30 Vasilly Zaytsev was technically alive during the Gallipoli Campaign. He was actually born just over a month after it started, and it continued until he was 8 months old. Obviously it still had nothing to do with him, but still, technically alive.

Let go the ANZAC (Australian and New Zealand Army Corps). 'ANZAC' stands for Australian and New Zealand Army Corps. On the 25th of April 1915, Australian and New Zealand soldiers formed part of the allied expedition that set out to capture the Gallipoli peninsula. These became known as Anzacs and the pride they took in that name continues to this day.
