- I am seeing beautiful skies from the slow train just after sunset - and I wonder why not everyone would want to be a train driver. I ride train 4075 from Amsterdam to Rotterdam, a varied journey. I stop at Muiderpoort, Amstel, Bijlmer-ArenA, Holendrecht, Abcoude, Breukelen, Woerden, Goverwelle, Gouda, Nieuwerkerk a/d IJssel, Capelle Schollevaer, Alexander and Rotterdam Noord. Enjoy watching!

The end at the station in Rotterdam gives one the vaguest of suggestions that Netherlanders rather like their bicycles unless that was a bicycle grave yard. {^_-}
And night time rides with more to see are better than when the camera does not do so well under low light conditions. This is definitely a good camera.

Prachtige rit met een mooie aankomst in Rotterdam Centraal. Je zou zeggen dat het aantal sollicitaties na vandaag omhoog schiet.

Het valt me iedere keer weer op hoe goed Nederlandse lichtseinen te zien zijn, van veraf en van dichtbij. En de kleuren: blauwgroen, oranjegeel en rood zijn goed te onderscheiden. In andere landen is dat wel even anders...
Cabview Holland gebruikt dan ook een geweldige camera 😁

I like the speed of this sprinter between Abcoude and Breukelen, the train often reaches 130-140 Kmph. The same between Woerden and Gouda Goverwelle.

Het zou leuk zijn als er een deel van een route naar Maastricht was Ik heb een voorliefde voor deze stad omdat ik daar nu in Duitsland woonde en ik heb niet veel tijd om daarheen te gaan

Als gevolg van het verschrikkele ongeluk bij Harmelen is het ATB systeem opgezet, hoewel nog niet perfect, het zet wel de trein stil als dingen niet kloppen en ERTMS is de volgende poging …werkt de laatste jaren goed op de HSL
ICE om 28:44 richting Amsterdam Centraal.
Leuk feitje. Gouda heeft wel een intercityverbinding met Den Haag Centraal,Rotterdam Centraal en Utrecht Centraal maar niet met Amsterdam Centraal.
(I'll revert to English for an additional anecdote about Intercity Amsterdam - Gouda - Rotterdam. Two memories may have merged.)
Maybe 15 years ago, I travelled from Amsterdam Centraal to Roosendaal (I think). The train was due to travel "counter-clockwise" to Rotterdam via The Hague, but a sudden disturbance had the train diverted "clockwise" passing Gouda without halt. It consisted of (at least) two train sets (these big double-deck EMUs), the front one bound for Flushings, the rear one to be left at Roosendaal.
An elderly pair with heavy luggage were bound for Flushings, and had taken care of the train composition. So I met them in the front part (according to plan. But the diversion made them now sit in the rear one. Forcing them to change at Roosendaal.
That other memory did concern the same train. Somebody in my compartment (and probably many more) intended to take their flights at Schiphol airport. However, the diversion had us bypass that station, and at least this one person had been unable to understand the notification (while still at the platform). I think that he got uneasy near Breukelen - and that is when we all understood his problem. I seem to remember that NS has arranged a taxi to get him from Rotterdam Centraal to Schiphol (and his transatlantic flight).
Was er na Amsterdam-centraal niet een terrein met opstelsporen waar er nu een groot lege zandvlakte is tussen tussen de buitenste sporen die overblijven. Mooie video! 👍

Once, long ago, everyone DID want to be a train driver. A BIG COUNCIL meeting was held. Somewhere, around a HUGE campfire, surrounded by Teepees, and just outside of Den Haag city limits, a visionary young wannabe Chief, but now only 2nd Lieutenant warrior and the guy who sets up council meetings, stood up and spoke. All ears were on him, and he first said... The issue was permanently settled. All smoked a pipe and watched the sunset. Some marveled at the pink skies. One train driver wondered, however, what that strange man in Puebla, México would say about a lead-in to a video like this. RT of Colonia Centro Histórico, Puebla, México was surprisingly silent... as it was still dark outside and he was preparing his coffee and selecting his donuts to watch what he knew would be a strange video... ¿Pink skies? OMG! This Dutch driver has completely lost it with his new camera! But, my coffee is ready. Donuts are too. I'm gonna watch it... and say, Gracias por tu video.

Deze treinstellen zijn veel korter dan de oude treinstellen waar deze bordjes nog voor zijn neergezet

Mooie verlichte Skyline naar Rotterdam Centraal. In mijn kinderjaren wilde ik machinist worden, maar helaas is het anders gelopen. Toch ben ik tevreden met wat ik nu bereikt heb. Over de Copyright die is nu oké.
We komen nog steeds tekort, waarom wordt je niet alsnog machinist?

1) Great "signature clip" of approaching Utrecht Centraal!
2) You may want to add yet another former station (here and in your assumed database): Amsterdam Oosterdok, nl.wikipedia.org/wiki/Station_Amsterdam_Oosterdok (in Ducht only).
3) This railway dyke between Oosterdokssluis and the curve at Dijksgracht is quite a feature, some "town wall". It was created in the 1930s, as a part of the "Spoorwegwerken Oost", but it originated as a (double) row of poles in the IJ (an estuary, back then) to prevent unauthorized passing of bigger ships, like in the foreground of commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Oude_Waal_(1625).jpg#/media/Bestand:Oude_Waal_(1625).jpg.
4) Where the water of the Dijksgracht (at our right) ends, used to be (at about square angles) the wharf of the legendary VOC, the first company with floating shares (and its dark sides). The wharf predates the Industrial Revolution, but it did feature some assembly-line process.
Until the erection of this dyke, sea-going ships could reach that spot. (It's on archive film.)
