Something I learned years ago. If a singer has trouble hitting the note on a section of the song, a harmony or double, whatever. Burn a stem with no vocals into a new session and use Waves soundshifter to tune down the stem. Have them sing over that. Then take those Vox and put them back into your original session and pitch them up by the same amount you pitched the stem down by. I try this before melodyne or revoice first because surprisingly it sounds pretty damn natural compared to the other methods. It usually locks in right away. A tiny bit of Rx to get rid of some artifacts left by the shifter but you’re good to go.

How do you do those vocal dubblings without making it sound metallic or like there's some sort of delay? I hate robot metallic or delay type sounds in my doubles.

Is it just me, or did the 2nd double sound slightly out of tune compared to the lead. But maybe that’s the point to make it slightly off so it sounds like a realistic double. Great plugin though.

sounds a bit phasy sometimes, tried with melodyne as well back in the old age, nothing like a real double take.

Agree! That's why I mentioned it's still best to do it in the studio :)
