We also greatly improve the county service level by upgrading existing police departments and building a new one - developing United States postal service offices - and road maintenance depots! We also sprinkle in some medium-density and low-rent residential developments as demand is starting to increase rapidly. Hope you enjoy!

College and Hospitals, two things Boston is known for!
Don't worry too much about terraforming. Most of Boston is built on filled-in bay or lopped off hills.

I think it would be really cool if you built a little beach town on one of the further away smaller island and have no road connections to it. Instead set up some ferry service to it, replicating Martha’s Vineyard/ Nantucket islands off the coast of MA.
Great videos! After having watched them for a while I now struggle to watch other CS streamers. Your cities just seem so spot on. One thing I would like to see more of is the following of vehicles around your cities, especially the trains.
The MBTA is actually expanding down as far as the South Coast, where Easthaven County is located, so yeah calling it the MBTA Commuter Rail is appropriate. I would suggest making the line colour purple though, since that's the colour used by all commuter rail lines.
I love this build. Eastheaven is coming along beautifully! As for the MBTA line, would you consider making it purple? :P

Great series! You had tunnel vision on that rail yard placement, should have considered re-routing the highway and placing it closer to the bay.
If it's the MBTA is running the East Haven Line, you know the trains are going to be late, break down, and catch on fire.
You can assign districts to your Police Stations/Fire and Hospital so that patrol cars will be patrolling specific areas
Each district in New England have their Sheriff, along with the "ordinary" police force so you could probably plop a couple more of those police stations down.
Portland, Maine have a lot of cops. Some of them are actually working.
In my opinion in think the east haven county map doesnt fit the southern shores or Massachusetts, it gives off more southern alaska vibes. But if you want this to be in new england i would suggest putting it in maine as there are more islands there than massachusetts
Like you said, the commuter rail doesn’t go to this part of mass, but the closest service I can think of is the CapeFLYER so maybe the name of the like is named after that.
Chowder Bay train station reminds me of a small scale version of the Main Street station in Richmond, Virginia with the bridge going right over it. Also the Main Street on chowder bay is similar to Monument Ave in Richmond with the parallel 1 way roads with trees in the middle

lol, the naming of the neighbourhoods reminded me of Copenhagen's train station names - Vesterport, Nørreport, Østerport. I wonder where you got your inspiration from :D

Boston has a big population of healthcare workers, many who might work strange hours. 11-7 is not uncommon, so a 10:30 comm rail user is perfectly realistic!

I think people in Westpoint have trouble with other services though.
A big costum made bus terminal in one of the two cities would be good to connect the county to the outside world, not only by train.
I understand that the Road maintenance building needed to be built but if you were going for realism the road quality should be terrible

i think the bypass track should be on the other side of the depot ,like if a train wants to pass at high speed it won't make sense it to have level crossing when another option is to have track on other side of depot
idk if you’ll see this but i live in the northeast and sometimes, very occasionally they will just build a bridge over the railroad
I think it would be really cool if you actually build a train station on the island where you build the rail yard.
You have a big downtown AND a harbor there. A regional train station would be a minimum requirement for the kind of traffic this creates.
Your train line goes practically though downtown...
Really nice work, but the use of Anarchy when it's not needed kind of drives me nuts. Turn it off unless absolutely necessary. And, the custom lot around 35:00 needs more detailing for the pavement. No parking lot would look that way. 😆
Nice! My only issue is too few houses facing the sea. Coastline should be utilized more, ameriburgers are willing to pay premium for such property, so it's everywhere.

Nice additions (although 'm not sure why most folks seem to need the railyard to be a "through" yard...). Anarchy always on as the default mode makes me very twitchy but maybe that's just me! 8D
It's be interesting to see how that train line rides, but if you've got Preserve Photo Mode installed you won't be able to use the trail camera to follow anything I'm guessing.

Add a bus route for all the people living there. Will be super handy for all the citizens.
To make it more realistic you should have more beach and park areas; as if you look at this landscape from above IRL you can see a lot of designated beach and park areas.
I think the road maintenance depot caused the reduction in crime, not moving the department! Each road accident needed a police car dispatched too it, they were spread too thin

To be honest, I prefer the old map theme instead of this new one.
I might actually change the grass textures again - this new theme is fantastic but I think the grass looks very saturated in combination with my PreservePhotoMode mod settings :-)
I like the new map theme with the stone cliffs, but the red trees is a bit much to look at, personally

I think you should make a town on an island connected only by a ferry
Unfortunately, mail service doesn't work via ferry because they are passenger ferries only (even if you have a post offices and a mail sorting facility) it still complains (another broken aspect of CSII)
Make some nature trails and tourist attractions.
I likey bro. Could you do the same detailed build on this series like you did on that recent “European” town you built. That level of detail would be perfect for this series. The zoning aspect of CS is fucking comedy. I thought they would’ve outted that stupid system but no they’re just lazy and useless 😂

I have to say the most unrealistic part of the game is the water 😂 The texture is always the same and does not look like real ocean. Plus the lakes have the same texture as the ocean. Is there no mod?
Also, you can get drinking water from the ocean from the water pump. It should require a desalinization plant

It's ancient Greek for an island chain, technically a chief of islands. If this doesnt help your pronounciation, you should really look up someone who knows the word and how to pronounce it.
